Žďárská, Veronika ; Rakušanová, Marie (advisor) ; Novotná, Eva (referee)
Czech glass in sacral architecture in the 2nd half of the 20th century This bachelor thesis introduces Czech glass in sacral architecture in the 2nd half of the 20th century that was influenced by the totalitarian regime in the Czechoslovakia and reflects changes after the Second Vatican Council. I focused on the best-known glass designers Stanislav Libenský/ Jaroslava Brychtová, Bohumila Eliáš, Jan Exnar and stained glass designers Ludvík Kolek, Jan Jemelka and Karel Rechlík. I highlighted several of their realizations. After the velvet revolution in 1989, sacral architecture is different especially in the number of executions. Sacral architecture is more variable, more relaxed and can express a deeper iconographic message.

Existential quantifier "any" in determinative and pronominal function, and its translation equivalents in Czech
Pohořálková, Pavla ; Klégr, Aleš (referee) ; Šaldová, Pavlína (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the existential quantifier any in determinative and pronominal function, and its translation equivalents in Czech. Its pronominal compounds anybody, anyone and anything will also be included. In nonassertive contexts in the determinative function any is used for expressing the indefinite reference and is unstressed but it also has a weak quantifying function. Stressed any expresses not only quantity but also a certain quality. Nonassertive any also occurs in indirect questions, conditional sentences, restrictive clauses and in negative complex sentences including a nominal content clause. The appearance of any in assertive contexts will also be discussed. The aim of this thesis is to gather 130 examples of any and its compounds anybody, anyone and anything and their Czech translation equivalents. A contrastive linguistic analysis and description of them will be executed. The comparison with the Czech language will be interesting because in English any and its compounds have different functions and distribution than in Czech. The parallel texts that will be used as sources for the analysis are Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling, The Holy Thief by Ellis Peters, Life Before Man by Margaret Atwood, A Widow for One Year by John Irving, and Choke by Chuck...

The Name of The Thesis Theological and Philosophical Background of the Ecclesiastical Funeral Rites and the Development of Legal Regulation Thereof in View of the Laws of the Czech Republic Anotation The thesis analysed three theoretical levels of finding starting criteria for the decision on the manner of disposal of a dead body and the way of its funeral in historical context: -Professionally institutionalized level, which was focused on satisfactory, swift and quality funeral, very often in the crematorium. -Philosophical and ethical level, which attempted to substantiate rationally moral qualifications of the behaviour of man and ethical obligation to take decision on pious manners of burial and celebration thereof. -Theological and ethical level, which, moreover, used the criteria resulting from moral principles included in the system of religious doctrines and which are the object of the faith of members of a religious community. After summing-up theological and philosophical background, the author commented on three following canon attitudes to the understanding and legal regulation of ecclesiastical funeral rites: Cognitive attitude, which consists in such an understanding of ecclesiastical funeral rites as the source of magisterial practise of the Church for burial of its members. Expressive...

Nuclear transport: its regulation and role in plant cells
Bokvaj, Pavel ; Fišerová, Jindřiška (referee) ; Schwarzerová, Kateřina (advisor)
The nucleocytoplasmic transport represents a crucial checkpoint of all signal pathways leading to the gene expression, the cell cycle maintenance, and RNA export processes. It is mediated by nuclear pore complexes (NPC) anchored in double nuclear membrane. The NPC structure and the basic architecture of the transport regulations are evolutionarily highly conserved across eukaryotic kingdoms; however, some significant differences and specifics exist in plants. In this thesis, I describe the contemporary level of our knowledge of the nucleocytoplasmic transport regulation and its actors in animalia generally and in planta in detail.

Gothic mural painting in castle chapels in Bohemia
Čechová, Lucie ; Hlaváčková, Jana Hana (advisor) ; Royt, Jan (referee)
This work is an investigation of Czech Gothic murals in castle chapels in Bohemia. The key for including of a mural to the catalogue was the founding date between early middle-ages up to the year 1526; end of the hegemony of the Jagellon dynasty amongst Bohemian Kingdom. The core of the work is a comprehensive catalogue of such murals. Included are 12 localities where these murals can be found, dating through 300 years of the middle-ages. Not included in this catalogue are the three well-documented sacral spaces in Karlštejn castle, although they also fit the time period in question. It must be acknowledged that the Karlštejn chapel murals are key elements in understanding this style and era, due to their quality and influential nature. This essay sought to isolate and explore any specific typology in this class of artwork. However, it must be stated that no such unique common character exists. The murals are more a reflection of the requirements and tastes of the individual patrons; they also express the fashion of their particular eras. There are also discrepancies in quality, which vary from century to century. In the 14th century, the quality of the investigated murals cannot be compared to that of paintings in the court of the King. However, by the late 15th and 16th centuries, the quality of murals...

Application integration in healthcare domain - Electronic prescription in Czech Republic using HL7 standards
Slavětínský, Václav ; Stanovská, Iva (advisor) ; Hřib, Zdeněk (referee)
This thesis is concerned with electronic prescription of drugs in the Czech republic. The objective is to find a proper standard for electronic medical data exchange and use it for building a new data communication interface for the e-prescription system. This work attends to the evolution and actual situation of the national e-prescription system. The system is based on one central storage for e-prescriptions, however, currently it isn't being used. On basis of valid legislation, electronic prescription and drug dispense processes are analyzed. Furthermore, present central storage data interface is explored. Considering advantages, that are bound to utilization of electronic data exchange standards, main objective of this thesis is given, to design a new interface for transmission of e-prescriptions and drug dispense notifications. New interface shall adhere to standards. Czech standard DASTA and europian norm EN13606 were examined. After all, set of specifications HL7 (Health Level Seven) has been chosen, which suits the requirements best. Data interface design, with HL7 standards, is based on exchange of documents. Documents (prescription, dispense notification) are expressed in the Clinical Document Architecture (CDA) format, and exchanged between applications by means of the Medical Records domain messages. The structure of wrappers, forming a message, results from common HL7 Specification Infrastructure. Presented design has been inspired by Finnish solution eResepti. The design tries to transform present interface of central storage to format, which is defined by selected HL7 specifications. It can be used in both local and central e-prescription systems. It may also support the development of systems for electronic health(care) records exchange.
