The accounte of Animal Assisted Therapy for client with hearing-aid and cochlear implant
FRAŇKOVÁ, Zuzana
The thesis deals with a issue of significance of canistherapy for clients with hearing aid and cochlear implants. Canistherapy, as one of the forms of the zoo-therapy, represents a supporting rehabilitation method based on the contact of the man with the dog and their positive interaction. The theoretical part of the thesis contains the topical terminology of the zoo-rehabilitation and canistherapy, where the author makes the analysis of this topic and deals with influence of the canistherapy on the client with specific defects. Within the theoretical part also the issue of a hearing handicap is defined. The target of the thesis is describing canistherapy as supporting therapeutic method for children with hearing defects. The research is focused on applying the Animal Assisted Therapy method. Based on the qualitative research, four casuistic reports were created describing the importance of the canistherapy for children the hearing defects and their family. For the research, the method of participating observation was applied, method of the analysis of documents (method of the secondary data analysis) and a half-standardized talk. As supplementing method I selected questioning (technology of an questionnaire) with open questions and photo-documentation. The research was made on children of pre-school age after the cochlear implantation coming into the Special Pedagogical Centre for Hearing Handicapped in České Budějovice. The results of the research confirmed that canistherapy influences very positively the total development of the child personality, it contributes to the development of speech as well as communication abilities and psycho-social child development. Žáčková, Blanka ; Radvanová, Senta (advisor) ; Hendrychová, Michaela (referee)
Private law issues relating to domestic violence (a comparison of Czech and German regulation) The subject of this thesis is private law issues relating to domestic violence. The domestic violence is a repeated phenomenon which is hidden in privacy of homes, including physical, psychological or sexual violence among close persons; the intensity of the attacks is escalating. The thesis is focused on violence among adults, especially partners. The domestic violence has been occurring in a society for a long time, nevertheless in the recent years has no longer been considered as a private matter and nowadays is being even solved by a virtue of the law. The Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany have recently adopted special acts for protection against the domestic violence. I have chosen the given topic for its recency and also because of lack of the Czech legal literature. The thesis compares the private law instruments of protection against the domestic violence in Germany and in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to find out which options the legal systems offer, whether they are sufficient, what are the fundamental differences between the both legal regulations and finally to propose some legislative measures. The first part of the thesis deals with the concept of the domestic...

Sexuality in old age
KOSOVÁ, Kateřina
Age and sex are two terms that are not frequently associated with each other. Sexuality is a natural part of human nature, accompanying people throughout their whole lives, still in old age. The elderly are often considered asexual by society, and therefore they feel too shy to speak out about problems they are facing in their sexual lives. In this paper, physiological and psychosocial changes the old age brings about, ailments and sexual dysfunctions that may affect seniors´ sexuality, and myths that make sexuality in old age taboo in society are described. The objective of this thesis was to deal with society´s perception of sexuality in old age. The first sub-objective was to determine how seniors´ sexuality is perceived by students and people at productive age. The second sub-objective was to find out seniors´ attitudes towards sexuality in old age. The survey was conducted using quantitative research, an interrogation method, a semi-directed interviewing technique. The research set was composed of 30 respondents divided into 3 groups. The first group consisted of students, the second was comprised of people in productive age and the third group was formed by seniors. Each group thus included 10 respondents. The research was carried out in the South Bohemian region for four months from mid-January to mid-May 2009. The research results have shown small but very interesting divergences in the approach to sexuality in old age. Seniors accept sexuality in old age better than students and people in productive age. Unlike seniors, a majority of students and people in productive age perceive sexuality in old age as a taboo subject in society. The research has also shown that seniors are satisfied with their sexual lives to the same extent as students are. Generally this issue is perceived in society with some embarrassment, but positively. This thesis could improve society´s awareness of sexuality in old age, break a social taboo and make it easier for seniors to enjoy their intimate lives. Furthermore, the survey could be beneficial for students and related professionals.

Microscopic fungi in caves and other underground shelters
Horáková, Karolína ; Kubátová, Alena (advisor) ; Hujslová, Martina (referee)
This Bachelor thesis is meant as a literature search concerned with diversity of microscopic fungi in caves, prospectively in underground spaces which were made by humankind. The caves represent unique environment for living organisms which is characteristic with specific microclimatic conditions and with deficient sources of nutrients. I have concentrated my focus to micromycetes which were isolated from sediments, atmosphere, dead insect and excrements in caves. The next part of my Bachelor thesis is aimed at species Geomyces destructans which causes so called white-nose syndrome illness - geomycosis on hibernating bats. It is an actual problem which interests scientists such as mycologists, zoologists and parasitologists.

The issue of the establishment of sheltered housing in the transformation Home Pístina
KUBEŠOVÁ, Stanislava
Sheltered housing is under the act n. 108/ 2006, about social services, defined as a residential service which is provided to people with reduced self- sufficiency because of disability or chronic illness including mental disability whose situation needs help of another person. Sheltered housing can be in a form of group or individual housing. At the beginning of the theoretical part is briefly described mental illness, its causes and classification. Another part is focused on social service system and specification of sheltered housing. The final part of the theoretical part is devoted to transformation process of social services, its present development, financing, criteria and possible risks. The objective of this bachelor´s thesis was to find out and compare approaches of addressed representatives of chosen municipalities to sheltered housing building within the process of transformation The Home of Pístina. The first sub-objective was to find out what problems can arise while looking for new locations for sheltered housing. The second sub-objective was to find out whether the public is informed enough concerning providing social service and about clients and their integration into society. To determine the set objective was used a qualitative research. Data was obtained by interviewing using a structured interview technique with open questions. Sample consisted of two types of respondents - representatives of communities A,B,C and a worker of South Bohemian Regional Authority. The research showed very different opinions and approaches of representatives in individual communities to sheltered housing building and to its clients as well. In the community A, where municipal authority understood the change of social service system in form which will not separate users of these services from the other inhabitants, all negotations about realization of this change proceeded without problems. Certain worries were mentioned by representatives about free movement of people with mental disability for reason of their abuse and ability to adapt to the new environment. In the community B, the situation was completely different. Municipal authority did not show any interest in building of sheltered housing. The problems arose at the very beginning with purchase of land. There was a lack of awareness about the process of social service transformation and about people who will use this service. Awareness of people about this issue led to worries about unsuitable behaviour of mentally disabled people in public. The research indicates the need to increase awareness of general public about facilities providing social services and about their clients. In case the county does not get this possibility from the community, it should explain the issue to the inhabitants itself in another suitable way and help people with mental disability to integrate in the society of selected location.

Problems with the International Kidnapping of Children in the Czech Republic
Orlová, Jana ; Arnoldová, Anna (advisor) ; Mitáš, Václav (referee)
My diploma work entitled "Problems of International Kidnapping of Children in the Czech Republic" deals with the situation of children and their parents in a conflict situation. This conflict becomes acute when one of the parents thinks about kidnapping of their child, or the child was already kidnapped. Intention of this work is to outline the legislative frame of these issues and get acquainted with the institutions and authorities which deals with these issues. I mention several casuistries that show the solving process in the Czech Republic. The most important part of this work is "the manual" for parents. This "manual" for parents in a critical situation was created on the basis of pieces of information that were gained thanks to my consultants Mgr. Veronika Andrtová, Mgr. Monika Šimůnková and information from authorities dealing with these affairs. I do not try to create an universal manual for solving these affairs but I want to provide useful information for parents. Every single case is specific and requires an individual attitude.

Conflict of two roles. The issue of a dual role - parent as a teacher
Mejstříková, Kamila ; Viktorová, Ida (advisor) ; Smetáčková, Irena (referee)
RESUMÉ The topic of this thesis is the issue of two roles - a role of a teacher and a parent. The goal of the thesis is to research the main key features arising from the issue of the conflict of dual role of a parent and a teacher at the same time. The empirical part of the thesis tries to outline problems which the parents, or let me say, teachers experience in the home and school environment based on the fact that their child or children attend the same school where they themselves work as teachers. Furthermore, the thesis deals with their experience regarding the representation of these two roles in relation to their own family. The data analysis also tries to point out the advantages and disadvantages of the teacher job and also the advantages and disadvantages of the intermingled role of a teacher and a parent. The thesis presented here is written on the basis of the qualitative method of data obtaining and processing. The method of interview analysis is used as well. Statements of four women and four men, woman teachers and man teachers in the secondary school whose children also attended this particular school have been analyzed.

Experimental study of friction and lubrication in THR
Urban, Filip ; Čermák, Jan (referee) ; Vrbka, Martin (advisor)
This work analyzes problems of friction and lubrication of total hip replacement (THR). At first, experimental study of friction coefficient under various conditions was conducted using hip joint simulator based on principle of pendulum. After that, lubrication film development was observed, using colorimetric interferometry with head from THR and glass cup with respect of geometry and clearance to cups made originally for THR. With respect to research study [25] it was found that increasing contact conformity leads to increased film thickness. Also protein adsorption on articulating surfaces was observed. Thanks to adsorption 80 nm film thickness was measured even if relative surface speed was zero. Furthermore protein aggregation was observed on the border of contact zone, similar aggregations were observed by Myant et al. [29] or Vrbka et al. [25]. These aggregations are formed when lubricant is under shear stress and it can positively affect film thickness. If the relative motion of articulating surfaces is not sufficient, the protein layer can`t be refreshed enough and film thickness start decreasing. Coefficient of friction 0,13 was measured when lubricating film development was observed. Close to this value are material combinations metal on polyethylene and metal on metal.

The living will in intensive care
