Regulation of credit institutions in the EU

This thesis evaluates the regulation of credit institutions. Its aim is to answer the question of how the regulation of credit institutions evolved and how this development influenced current regulation. This thesis examines the potential of credit institution regulation to prevent further financial crises. At first the author deals with the development of the market of financial services and subsequently with the development of regulation of credit institutions. In the first part the author analyses the positive and negative aspects of each piece of legislation, reasons for their adoption, changes or their further use. This thesis deals particularly with capital adequacy requirements. It analyses their gradual development and reason for their amendments, especially in the context of the recent financial crisis. The author concludes that that current se-up of the credit institution regulation and its expected development puts too much emphasis in increasing of the capital adequacy requirements. The author sees this aspect especially in the directive on capital requirements from 2013 which presents new buffers that the credit institutions are required to hold and in the resolution directive from 2014 which adds new, yet similar requirements. Abstract (in English): My dissertation deals with the system of care for patients with Alzheimer's disease in the Czech Republic. For the first objective is to describe this piecemeal issue and confirm, that it's a public- policy problem for the present and will be public-policy problem for the future too. I will collect information about the various measures that the system of care for this type of patients affected. Through content analysis of available resources in the field of care for patients with Alzheimer's disease I will identify the main problem points area of health and social policy. I will place great emphasis on social responsibility for this type of patients and on the impact of public policy measures on the target group of thesis. As a target group I will define not only patients with Alzheimer's disease, but also informal carers, including their close surroundings. Jan Petránek and his position in the media. A biographical study.

The master thesis Jan Petránek and his position in media. A biographical study. is describing life and publishing activities of journalist Jan Petránek. Text is dedicated to extensive period of time, from the birth of Petránek in 1931 up to the current year 2016. In each chapter, you can find foreword describing political and social context, which influenced not only Czechoslovakia Radio but the journalist himself. The used key methodology was oral history, conversations with Jan Petránek, research and work with the archived materials from National Archive in Prague and Archive of Czechoslovakia Radio. The biggest emphasis is focused on Petránek's work in Czechoslovakia Radio, he started to work there in 1951 until 1970, when he was fired for his activity in anti-occupation broadcasts in 1968. In the thesis, you can find information about his family, signature of Charta 77, activity in Lidové noviny and in the company Šanson - věc veřejná, established to support self-immolation of Jan Palach. Taking into account, that Jan Petránek until today, 2016, is still external contributor in Czech Radio and often guest in television programs, last chapter is dedicated to his activity after fall of communistic regime in 1989. Dependence of the immobile and self-unsufficient clients on staff nursing in a rest home for the seniors

With increasing age expectancy the number of older people who become immobile, is increasing those people are not self-sufficient anymore, often suffering from dementia, and therefore they can become dependent on the care of other people. If this dependency is only of a small extent, the families usually try to take care of such older people themselves. But with decreasing self-sufficiency when seniors do not manage to be alone at home all day, they need to stay in some type of home for senior citizens. They then go into residential social institutions where the nursing staff takes care of them. How do these clients see such care and how do they cope with their situation. What is their experience with the staff? The thesis tries to answer the above mentioned questions. It also tries to review the biggest problems seen by the staff taking care of immobile, dependent clients often suffering dementia.

The comparison of the accounting and tax field of the Czech Republic and Finland

The thesis is focused on an accounting and a tax field of the selected countries, the Czech Republic and Finland. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the accounting and tax system of the chosen countries and its reciprocal comparison. The present form of the financial accounting in both countries was influenced by their economic and political development and by other elements through many years. These factors and their impact on the accounting field are described and reviewed in the first part of the thesis. The second part is focused on the comparison of the tax field of both states which is related with an accounting. Among others, the characteristics of the tax system influence the behaviour of people (persons, entities) in connection with their international (and domestic) business activities. The most suitable indicator chosen for comparison of the tax burden between the Czech Republic and Finland is the consolidated tax quota. Due to the interaction to the accounting, there was an emphasis on the differences in the structure of corporate income tax in connection with the comparison of the tax systems.

Electrospinning of Modified Biopolymers for Medical Applications

Předkládaná disertační práce se zabývá přípravou a charakterizací nových biokompatibilních nanovláken s potenciální aplikací v medicíně. V této práci byl výběr jednotlivých složek pro přípravu nanovlákenného materiálu zvolen tak, aby vyhovoval nárokům tkáňového inženýrství. Literární rešerše shrnuje poznatky o elektrostatickém zvlákňování a o jeho parametrech. Dále se věnuje možnostem elektrostatického zvlákňování proteinů kolagenu a želatiny a jejich směsmi se syntetickými polymery a biopolymery a anorganickými plnivy. Teoretická část řeší také různé postupy síťování nanovláken vedoucí ke zlepšení jejich hydrolytické stability a mechanických vlastností. Poslední část je zaměřena na anorganické nanotrubky halloysitu (HNT), které získaly svou pozornost díky svým vynikajícím fyzikálním a biologickým vlastnostem. V experimentální části byly zpracovány dvě případové studie, z nichž každá se zabývá přípravou nanovlákenných biomateriálů s potenciální aplikací v medicíně. První studie je zaměřena na přípravu a charakterizaci nových hydrolyticky stabilních antibakteriálních želatinových nanovláken modifikovaných pomocí oxidované celulózy. Unikátní inhibiční účinky nanovláken byly testovány na kmenu bakterie Escherichia coli pomocí metody chemické bioluminiscence. Kultivované buňky lidského papilárního adenokacinomu plic prokázaly dobrou adhezi a proliferaci k povrchu nanovláken. Druhá část popisuje vliv zdroje a množství anorganických halloysitových nanotrubek na strukturu a vlastnosti amfifilních nanovláken ze směsi želatiny a syntetického polykaprolaktonu. Přídavek HNT zlepšil tepelnou stabilitu, mechanické vlastnosti (jak tuhost, tak prodloužení) a snížil krystalinitu nanovláken. HNT z různých zdrojů neměl vliv na chování buněk, ale mírně ovlivnil proliferaci a životaschopnost buněk na povrchu nanovláken.

The Company in a Competitive Environment

This bachelor dissertation deals with a position of the selected company in a competitive environment. The dissertation is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical one.
The theoretical part determines substantial terms which have been mentioned within the dissertation and creates reinforcement for practical part of the thesis. The latter part identifies mainly terms like a company and its goals, fundamental types of competitive environment and analysis of internal and external environment. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of the company METAL STEEL s. r. o., which sells stainless and carbon steel. The financial analysis, collecting chosen ratio indexes, helps to evaluate a situation of the company. Further more there is a description of the main competitors on the market. The current position of the company is reviewed in accordance with comparison method. The SWOT analysis was utilized for identification of strong and weak aspects/points of the company in the conclusion part of the thesis.

Human resources, the structure of their use in selected sectors

The main target of dissertation is to prepare recommendations and plan of investments for education in healthcare for paramedical professions. In the investigation, the emphasis will be on identifying critical points, ie. the determination of expertise for which the apparent insufficient supply of jobs on the labor market and discussions reasons. Another aim is to determine trends in education for paramedical positions in neighboring countries through systematic review. Other methods are survey, mathematical-statistical models (correlation, regression), CEA, CUA, etc.

Digitization of 2D objects in museum collections

The thesis focuses on the analysis of digitization of two-dimensional objects and determination of methods applied to the collection in the Krkonoše Museum in Vrchlabí. The first part introduces and explains the theoretical basis. The second part contains an analysis of the digitization project in the Krkonoše Museum, compilation of methods from checking the object to its saving to data storage. Using the analysis, the main benefits and risks of digitization are ascertained. In conclusion, the digitization project of the Krkonoše Museum is assessed with the emphasis on the practical experience in the digitization of two dimensional objects, the possibilities of digitized collections and suggestions for further implementation. The solution provides
a secure way of creating digital copies of objects of cultural and historical value, their archiving and future use of the data. The findings could be beneficial for other digitization projects.
