Origin and further development of Jesuit college in Jihlava in 17th century

Bachelor thesis deals with the Foundation of the Jesuit College in Jihlava in the 17th century. It is based mainly on the study of materials stored in the Moravian Land Archive in Brno , from which it derives information about the foundation of college and institutionally attached seminar. Furthermore, materials from State District Archive in Jihlava were used to provide information about the city of Jihlava and Jesuit Gymnasium. The first two chapters shall be understood as an introduction to the religious- political background of Early Modern Czech kingdom and its manifestations in the royal town of Jihlava, which are tematized in a period starting with the beginning of the Lutheran Reformation and ending with early recatholisation. Next chapter introduces the central theme of the work. It analyzes the process of recatholisation in Jihlava, which inherently included the sub-process of establishment of the Jesuit College happening in contrast to general economic problems of the Jihlava municipality. Following chapter deals with the last period of the Thirty Years' War, after the battle of Jankov, when the city entered the Swedish army. Composer and Teacher Petr Šandera

Résumé This Master thesis called "Composer and pedagogue Petr Šandera" disserts about a musical personality from Jihlava's region, where comes also the author of this Master thesis Pavel Salák, Šandera's student, from. Petr Šandera (*1941), who is the object of this work, graduated Academy of music in Brno in 1965, then four years later he graduated Janáček's Academy of music arts in Brno, both school in specialisation Playing organ. After he finished studies, he worked as a musical teacher in Piešťany, in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm and in Jihlava. Beside it he was employed as an organist in Jihlava's crematorium. In years 1991-2002 he worked as a director of Jihlava's art school. Beside his work he addicted himself to composition during his life. He is an author of 129 opuses so far. The aim of this Master thesis is to introduce Petr Šandera, his life, his pedagogical working and mainly to point out to his abundant musical pieces, from which the essential part hasn't been interpreted yet. By the help of the analysis of two choir pieces this Master thesis should characterize Šandera's style of composition. The reform movement and the normalization of relations in Jihlava (1960- 1971)

This master thesis, The reform movement and the normalization of relations in Jihlava (1960-1971), maps the course of that period in Jihlava, the capital of the region Vysočina. The first part of this work includes a brief introduction into the atmosphere in Czechoslovakia in 1960s and the historical development in Jihlava in the same period. The second chapter describes the course of events from the beginning of year 1968, colloquially called "The Prague Spring". New politicians ascended to the politic power and established a new theory, which was called "Socialism with a human face". The third part deals with the invasion of the Warsaw Pact army of Czechoslovakia on 21st August 1968. The text focuses mainly on Jihlava. The fifth chapter describes the course of events in Czechoslovakia since the second half of year 1968 to April 1971. This period is called normalization and is characterized by retreating from the post-January policy, personnel changes, restoring censorship, etc. The last part of the thesis concerns itself with Evžen Plocek. He was an active reform politician in Jihlava and committed suicide in April 1969. He burned himself to death due to the consequences of the Warsaw Pact army invasion of The Czechoslovak Socialist Republic in 1968.

The Testamentary Practice in Jihlava in the Years 1578 - 1624 (Wills as Sources for the History of Family Structures, Historical Demography and Sociotopography)

THESIS ABSTRACT The subject of the research - the Early Modern burgher will - is viewed in the thesis from the standpoint of family structures, historical demography and sociotopography. The sample of 968 Jihlava wills from the period 1578-1624 were subjected to statistical analysis. Moreover, from a methodological perspective the nature of this research is similar to micro-historical and prosopographical approaches. The aforementioned theme was compared to conclusions of the literature concerning historical demography and family structures (especially English) as well as foreign sociological and anthropological studies. The results of this research were evaluated from the point of view of the annual number of wills as possible indicators of the chief trends in mortality, and possible connections were traced between the number of children named in the testaments and the inheritance system. Given the numerous marriage contracts concluded by testators, the study also looked into the "marriage market" and the duration of marriages. Other questions discussed in the thesis include, for example, family and household positions, disabled people, gender studies and intergenerational property transfer. Faktory ovlivňující úspěšnost regenerace brownfields na území města Jihlavy

This thesis deals with success of brownfield regeneration in the city of Jihlava. First of all, thesis defines brownfield as a term of various institutions, than of various classifications of brownfields. The theoretical part describes the origin and consequences of brownfields, and this section also contains a description of the proces sof regeneration of these objects, including stakeholders. Then my thesis contains analysis of selected examples of current non-regenerated brownfields and also successfully regenerated brownfields of Jihlava. Documents from the theoretical part are subsequently used in the practical part. Interviews with experts enable the revelation and identification of success factors for regeneration of brownfields in the city. Based on the opinions of experts are at the end suggested possible measures to address the current situation.

Podstata a role digitálního 3D modelu v architektonické studii veřejného prostoru v Jihlavě

The aim of this work is the creation of architectural studies of public space in Jihlava with the use of 3D digital technologies modelling programs. The problem was solved by information available on the model territory in literary research, analysis, and background and by creating a design solution with the clearance in a digital model. It was found that the use of 3D digital technology is effective provided basic knowledge of modeling program. The main finding is a benefit when designing objects thanks to the speed and efficiency of the editing model, but the frequent difficulty in creating graphical outputs from a modeling program.

Housing in released buildings of former Brno´s textile factories

The doctoral thesis is concentrated on housing as selected manner to convert the released textile factories. In the first part was attention given to history which confirmed the high recovery factor of Brno´s industrial past to reuse. Next part was focused on analysis of the XXth century forms of collective housing, especially the loft housing, to characterize the perspective habitation in selected factories. Finally was the contemporary housing observed through three specific aspects to aim the conversion of Brno´s textile factories.

The goal of the diploma thesis is to describe the issues of structural and regional policies of European Union in the Czech Republic and to create general knowledge about running of drawing financial resources from EU funds for a particular project from an applicant´s perspective. The theoretical part deals with the origins of European Union and formation of regional policy of EU. Afterwords it is focused on the formation of regional policy in the Czech Republic and the project cycle. In practical part the project cycle is applied on a particular project Enlargement of nursery schools in Jihlava – Nursery school Nad Plovárnou 5, Jihlava from setting the targets, applying for the grant and up to the realization of the project itself.
