Disertační práce se zaměřila na bydlení jako vybraný způsob konverze uvolněných továren. Historie, jíž byla věnována pozornost v první části, potvrdila výtěžnost industriální minulosti města Brna pro další využití. Dále byly analyzovány formy hromadného bydlení 20. století, zvláště bydlení loftové, aby bylo možné charakterizovat výhledové obývání vytipovaných továren. Nakonec bylo soudobé bydlení posuzováno ze tří specifických hledisek, která pomohla stanovit cestu, jíž by se konverze brněnských textilních továren mohla ubírat. The doctoral thesis is concentrated on housing as selected manner to convert the released textile factories. In the first part was attention given to history which confirmed the high recovery factor of Brno´s industrial past to reuse. Next part was focused on analysis of the XXth century forms of collective housing, especially the loft housing, to characterize the perspective habitation in selected factories. Finally was the contemporary housing observed through three specific aspects to aim the conversion of Brno´s textile factories.
