Software for Formal Testing of PLC Program
Sýkora, Ondřej ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Arm, Jakub (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis analyzes the testing techniques used in the IT industry and applies them analogously to the machine industry - specifically PLC programming. In this work, a test application is designed and implemented. It’s purpose is to find errors created by a PLC programmer or PLC code generator in the TIA Portal environment project. The application can find and detect up to 10 different errors. It is a windows form application, developed in C#, using the open interface of TIA Portal Openness. Subsequently, its functionality is tested on a small test project with a known number of errors and also on a large company project with an unknown number of errors.
Autonomous cell "Ice cube feeder" for Industry 4.0 testbed
Mařas, Michael ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Sýkora, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the description of the proposal and implementation of autonomous cells called Ice cube feeder. Gradually, we will learn how the implementation of autonomous cells in terms of design, electrical and programming. The concept represents the ideas of Industry 4.0. The entire production process follows the ANSI/ISA-S88 batch control standard, which describes the batch control process.
Automatic generation of visualizations for operator panels
Průšek, Jan ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
Aim of this bachelor thesis is to explore advanced methods of creating operator HMIs for use in industrial automation. The first part of this thesis describes the process of creating a project in the TIA Portal containing a test PLC, HMI TP1500 Comfort panel and HMI Unified comfort panel. Universal faceplatess for common process elements and for sensors were created for both panels. The second part of the bachelor thesis deals with the automatic generation of HMI screens using the SiVArc tool.
Communication between PLC S7-1500 and relational database
Novotný, Jiří ; Holek, Radovan (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The thesis deals with the communication methods between the PLC S7-1500 and the database system and it focuses primarily on the possibilities of direct communication, i.e. without the need to use additional software. The thesis presents many of the available solutions, both commercial and freely available. Subsequently, attention is paid to the actual direct communication solution. A solution will be proposed and a~simple application will be implemented demonstrating direct communication between a~Siemens S7-1500 PLC and a Microsoft SQL Server database system. The communication is based on the TDS communication protocol. The implemented application allows direct communication with the database using basic SQL language commands. This solution is competitive with the most currently used indirect communication methods.
Virtual commissioning of the robotic production cell
Baťka, Tomáš ; Vetiška, Jan (referee) ; Bražina, Jakub (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the virtual commissioning of robotic workplace designed to engrave board materials and their subsequent packaging. The summary of the knowledge that contributes to the development of the virtual commissioning as well as description of each component of the given robotic cell, are described in the theoretical part. In the practical part are described procedures such as assembling of the simulation model in Process Simulate software, creating the PLC program in integrated development environment TIA Portal or creating visualization for HMI panel. In the end, the actual commissioning of the workplace was performed, followed by additional modification and validation of the robotic program.
Digital commissioning of a robotic production system for resistance welding
Šuba, Marek ; Bražina, Jakub (referee) ; Vetiška, Jan (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the simulation and digital commissioning of a robotic production system for welding elements such as studs on sheet metal parts. The basis of the work is search of information related to industrial robots, PLC control, tools used for welding, fixtures, manipulators, sensors, safety and protection elements commonly used in such production systems. The second part of the work deals with the given problem and it is a virtual commissioning of the given concept of a robotic production system. This means creating its simulation model in the Process Simulate environment, selecting robots, creating robotic trajectories, collision analysis, creating sensors, signals and optimization. Last part includes the connection of the simulation model with the software S-7PLCSIM Advanced and TIA Portal, the creation of control PLC logic in the form of a program, visualization and verification of their functionality using the above-mentioned connection with the simulation model.
Wastewater treatment plant testbed controlled by PLC
Kopáč, Ondřej ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Pospíšil, Ondřej (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the design of a wastewater treatment plant, which will be controlled by a PLC. The theoretical part describes the types of wastewater and sewage systems that are important in the design of wastewater treatment plants. The thesis also describes programmable logic controllers, theirs programming languages, SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) systems and automation. The thesis also deals with theoretical description of wastewater treatment plants, their functions and security. Next part describes the design of the wastewater treatment plant. The last part of the thesis describes implementation of the wastewater treatment plant controlled by a PLC.
Control of conveyor belt for testing room
Lorenc, Michal ; Pásek, Jan (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
The work deals with programing of conveyor system, controlled by PLC. The first part is analysis of the controlled technology a describtion of required function. The following is an introduction to the programming environment, PLC, sensors, actuators and controls. Second part is a proposal for the solution of the function of the conveyor system and its implementation. Then the whole system is tested, evaluated and suggestions for improvement are submitted.
Collaborative robot control by PLC
Novotný, Jiří ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Macho, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the control of a collaborative robot using a PLC. To implement this work is used collaborative robot YuMi from ABB and PLC from Siemens of latest series S7-1500. We will get acquainted with products which have been used in project and with the development environment for PLC (TIA Portal) and for robot (RobotStudio). We define the requirements for the communication interface between the robot and the PLC. We will describe a demonstrating task requiring control of a robot using a PLC. The task demonstrates a real application for the end user. Then we implement PROFINET communication interface and implement the described task for the robot. The final solution is then tested in real production line.
