Streamlining the material flow in Unipetrol

This Master's Thesis deals with logistic processes within Unipetrol group of chemical companies with main focus on material flow of polyolefin plastics. Thesis's key objectives are thorough exploring of material flow, identifying possible ineffective areas and suggesting solutions. All parts of the material chain (production line, packaging,warehousing and expedition) are carefully analyzed. Theoretical part defines general logistics, importance of supply chain management in connection with globalization, chemical industry specifics and methods used in analyses (inventory management models). Practical part describes Unipetrol and its departments and more importantly results of executed analyses. Ten selected products with the greatest impact on department efficiency are examined carefully. Thesis conclusion includes final recommendations and chain's weakest places that should be eliminated.
Distribution logistics of the Coca-Cola Company CZ

This thesis is focused on analyzing distribution logistics in the Coca Cola Company. The main topic of this work is to analyse today´s payment method of carriers and to find a new method. The theoretical part is about logistics with focus on distribution logistics. There are many methods which The Coca Cola Company uses. About all of them I will write lower. There is also a new method described. The Coca Cola Company started to use this new method on the 1st of April 2009.
Distribution chain optimization in a selected company

This graduation thesis focuses on a distribution chain analysis and the description of materials and information flows in a firm called Rigips, s. r. o. which is member of multinational concern Saint Gobain based in Paris. Rigips, s. r. o. deals with building sector and specializes in production of plaster boards on the Czech market on which it has been operating more than fifteen years. In conclusion the detected issues are identified and suggestions are made for a remedy to prevent a negative impact on logistic processes in the company.

The subject of my thesis is evaluation of procedures in part of Family Frost supply chain. The work is divided into two parts -- methodological and practical. In methodological part I summarized pieces of knowledge from professional literature. Thanks to this I could better understand procedures inside of the company. In practical part I focused on analysis of logistic procedures in the company. My goal was to find weakness and to suggest solutions for improvement.

The aim of the work is to give a detailed insight into the ways and methods of product distribution as used by a food industry manufacturing plant. Distribution chain management from a marketing and logistics point of view is analysed focusing on transport options and potential. Theoretical basis and terms definition are provided, the emphasis being laid on the function of distribution, its intermediaries, and channels in terms of logistics costs. The work describes options a company has when creating a distribution chain. Distribution warehouses and ways of transport are considered as the most important factors. The practical part of the work deals with product distribution at a Danone company, focusing on rules, specifics, and risk areas. Process optimization is proposed with regard to costs, transport effectivness and customer needs.
Buying and selling logistics of trading company

This thesis is consisting of theoretical and practical part. In theoretical part few terms are elaborated like: distribution and logistics chain. In other chapters there are topics like: manipulation units and its use, transportation systems, Incoterms (norms of international business) and chapter which includes electronic identification of goods. In practical part there are descriptions of several business activities of small company doing international trade. There is detailed example of doing international business with the help of buying agent in China. In second case is mentioned direct business with producers in China (without cooperation with agent). Following analysis contains advantages and disadvantages of both the cases. In one of the chapters of practical part is written about type of warehousing used by companies (having own or rented warehouse) and about sea transportation. At the end of the thesis there are descriptions about selling logistics of the company.

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe logistic processes which are running within the particular company and which are inevitable for continuous and effective production in accordance with customers' demands. Further, the purpose is to identify main deficiencies of these processes on the ground of the author's theoretical knowledge in the logistics sphere, and to propose potential improvements. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical section is focused on the definition and development of logistics, as a tool for increasing effectiveness and competitiveness of the company. Part of this section is also a description of the concept of minimizing total logistic costs. Second, practical section describes logistic processes and tasks as they are performed in selected company. In this section, author focused mainly on purchasing, warehousing, and material flow through out the company during the whole process of production of final product. As a part of this block is also a identification of main deficiencies and proposed improvements.
