Legal and economic aspects of use of CNG and biogas in transportation
Yusupova, Regina ; Štěpánek, Petr (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
Use of compressed natural gas (CNG) as an alternative transportation fuel is currently being supported in European Union and Czech Republic as well. Upgraded Biogas (or biomethane) with its chemical characteristics is to be considered as a renewable substitute of CNG so it can be used for the same purposes. Biogas is produced in biogas stations. Current legislation terminates the support of producers of electricity and heat from renewable sources, including biogas stations. The absence of governmental support will endanger their existence. Producing of biomethane and using it in transportation is an alternative option for the owners of biogas stations. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to conduct an economic analysis of biomethane producing costs. On the basis of the results obtained, we will be able to say whether producing od biomethane is reasonable in Czech Republic. Then we will try to establish whether the use of biomethane in transportation is possible according to Czech legislative terms or what possible legislative amendments should be implemented.

Economical, operational and environmental comparison of Scania trucks using different types of fuels
Turek, Lukáš ; Novák, Radek (advisor) ; Koubek, Ondřej (referee)
This master work deals with different fuels for trucks Scania and it is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part describes the basic concepts related to the topic. The most important are associated with transport and transportation, categorization and types of vehicles, greening road transport or financing. Depending on the practical part it is also place great emphasis on selected types of fuels, their production and also their advantages and disadvantages. In the practical part is introduced Scania company and the products and services that the company offers. Furthermore, this section generally analyzes Scania offer of engines for different types of fuels, including technical recommendations. At the end of the practical part are described specific vehicles, which are compared from financial aspect, in terms of environmental impact and operational limitations. The aim of the study is to compare Scania trucks using diesel, biodiesel and CNG.

Alternativní pohony automobilů
Doležal, Ondřej
The bachelor thesis deals with alternative propulsion vehicles. Introductory section focuses on the comparison of conventional and alternative drive. Another part deals with the various alternative drives that are now available. The former, are powered hybrids, followed by electric, hydrogen power, and the conclusion of dedicated vehicles on gaseous fuels. In each chapter describes the functioning of the drive components required and refueling. At the end of each chapter are listed the positives and negatives of the drive. Finally, the study introduces selected types of vehicles with alternative drive. Cars are augmented by technical parameters. Following is an analysis of the functional properties of the vehicle.
