Evaluation of influence of interpolation methods on coregistration of radar images
Slačíková, Jana ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Hlaváčová, Ivana (referee)
Evaluation of influence of interpolation methods on coregistration of radar images Abstract SAR interferogram processing requires subpixel coregistration of SAR image pair for accurate phase differencing. Errors in alignment introduce phase noise in SAR interferogram. Last step in coregistration is resampling one of SAR images. Also this step introduces errors in SAR interferogram. The resampling algorithms Nearest Neighbor, Bilinear interpolation, Cubic Convolution and advanced methods such as Raised Cosine kernel, Knab interpolation kernel and Truncated Sinc were tested on ERS tandem data and compared. The results were compared with the theory and simulations of earlier investigations (Hanssen, Bamler, 1999), (Migliaccio, Bruno, 2003) and (Cho ... [et al.], 2005). The main experiment in this work was to examine and compare resampling methods on real data to evaluate their effect on the interferometric phase quality and DEM generation. The coregistration performance was evaluated by the coherence (Touzi ... [et al.], 1999) and the sum of phase differences (Li ... [et al.], 2004). No evidence showed that computationally intensive algorithms produced better quality of interferogram than Cubic Convolution. The possibilities of evaluating by means of the accuracy of the final InSAR DEM (Li, Bethel, 2008) were...

The real task of data mining
Trondin, Anton ; Berka, Petr (advisor) ; Chudán, David (referee)
Diploma thesis " The real role of knowledge mining " is divided into two major parts, the theoretical and the practical. The practical part describes the basic concepts of data mining, various methods and types of tasks used for knowledge discovery in databases and algorithms used in this area . Main focus is devoted to the CRISP -DM methodology and to various stages of knowledge discovery from databases. This methodology will be later used as the basis for practical part of the thesis while other less known methods used for data mining won`t be neglected. List of paid and free software which can be used for knowledge mining in databases is presented at the end of theoretical part. The second part of the thesis is focused on the practical step by step application of the CRISP -DM methodology, which contains real data from the field of mobile communications. Data mining task used in practical part is the behavioral prediction of mobile carrier customers. Supporting the practical part of the thesis, IBM SPSS Modeler was used as a main software for knowledge mining. Key words: data mining, knowledge disvocery in databases. Churm management, prediction, CRISP-DM.

Possibilities of Deepening the Theory and Practice of Investment Decisions with an Emphasis on Real Options
Oceláková, Petra ; Valach, Josef (advisor) ; Hrdý, Milan (referee) ; Choulík, Petr (referee)
This dissertation deals with selected areas within capital budgeting theory and practice. The first part is focused on possibilities how to improve traditional financial metrics as net present value and internal rate of return by using graphical tools for their interpretation. The main practical problem can be considered not the methodology itself, but the inability to predict future cash flows correctly. The special attention is paid to depreciation in connection with Czech accounting and tax legislation and its influence on capital decisions. The second part of the dissertation concentrates on real option analysis. The crucial difference between net present value and real options analysis is in how these methods deal with the risk. Mathematical approach is used to derive how the volatility and other parameters affect the theoretical value of an investment determined by real option. The more volatile the future cash flows are the higher theoretical value of the real option should be. Nevertheless, there are some exceptions that are analysed in this paper. In final chapter, total cost of ownership and real option analysis are used to evaluate option to switch from on-premise IT solution to cloud computing.

Business Plan
Gotschyová, Julie ; Tripes, Stanislav (advisor) ; Dvořák, Jiří (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to determine the essential aspects of business formation, on the basis of which the real feasibility of the business plan is then evalu-ated. The backgroud research concentrates on the structure of the business plan's requi-rements. It deals in detail with the analysis necessary to determine the correct business strategy of the company. It contains the external environment analysis as well as the internal financial analysis. The subsequent section shows how the obtained information is applied to the particular business plan. The data needed to perform the analysis was obtained from statistical outputs, laws and regulations of the Czech Republic, from in-terviews with local residents, and also from my own personal calulations. The results were used for designing the company strategy and for the business plan feasibili-ty evaluation.

Implementation of Google Tag Manager
Kumsta, Tomáš ; Hradil, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to explain advantages of using Tag Management systems on webpages. This thesis compares different systems and advantages and disadvantages of their functionality and usability. Based on this comparison reasons for popularity of Google Tag Manager are found and its implementation is shown. It is used in praxis to implement different tracking, remarketing and other codes, which can be used by a website operator to implement these codes without changing the source code of the website itself. The thesis contains complete implementation of Google Analytics tracking code and Google Ad-words remarketing code in Google Tag Manager. The example of implementation and settings of this system is done to benefit a real Internet business.

Analysis of unemployment determinants in Ústecký region
Abu Zummarová, Adriana ; Brožová, Dagmar (advisor) ; Čermáková, Klára (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the determinants of unemployment in Ústecký region. The panel data for 7 regional districts from period 2005 -- 2013 with total of 63 observations were used to construct the econometric model estimate. The model included variables from demographic and economic characteristic of the region. Real gross average wage, share of women in population and share of foreigners in population have been found the most significant. Comparative models of male and female unemployment proved, that male unemployment is more sensitive to wage change as well as to share of foreigners in population. Education variable had to be withdrawn from the model due to high multicollinearity, therefore it was tested on a separate model, which proved the negative relationship between share of tertiary educated population and share of unemployed.

Alconomics
Čihák, Jakub ; Běláčková, Vendula (advisor) ; Hřebík, Tomáš (referee)
This diploma thesis investigates the relationship between the business cycle and the alcohol consumption by using aggregate data for Czech Republic and constituent regions of Czech Republic in the period 1994-2011. The key question of this study is whether alcohol consumption is pro-cyclical or counter-cyclical. This question was asked in many works (Ruhm, Black, 2002). Unlike American studies, in which alcohol consumption is pro-cyclical, my study shows that the decrease of economic conditions has resulted in increased alcohol consumption in society and therefore indicates to me counter-cyclical. I also found that the divorce has a positive effect on alcohol consumption, while the real price has a negative effect.

Accuracy of non-contacting Temperature Measurement
Horák, Ladislav ; Janečka, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
This master’s thesis is specialized on the influence of correct parameters of emissivity, which depends on the temperature, wavelength and ambient environment. The investigation the parameter was taken infrared non-contact thermometer MI3 from company Raytek. To improve the quality of measurement was designed and programmed measuring utility program. The program was developed in the LabView 8.5 programming environment. To obtain the true value of the measured temperature of the target was designed and constructed the touch thermometer with the resistance dependent sensor. The thermometer is connected to the communication box of infrared thermometer and contain the same program. Nowadays are the most advanced IR thermometer with fixed parameters emissivity, which is applicable just to the real body in the vicinity of the parameter emissivity 0,95. For those IR thermometers were designed correction function, which would have temperature measured at a fixed emissivity parameter 0,95 set close to the actual value of the object.

Travelling salesman problem – delivery of postal items
Říha, Vojtěch ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Fábry, Jan (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to propose the process of delivering postal items by using general knowledge of the travelling salesman problem. The first part briefly describes the historical evolution concentrating on solving real problems. The second part describes the travelling salesman problem and the multiple travelling salesman problem. Emphasis is placed on heuristic algorithms, primarily on the nearest neighbour algorithm. Various modifications of the travelling salesman problems are also mentioned. In the part of the application a real problem of delivering postal items in a given area is handled in order to minimize the total time spend on delivery. For this specific type of problem a mathematical model is design as well as its possible modification for minimizing the earliest possible time of vehicle's arrival to the village. For the optimization, computer software MPL and Lingo are used. Interim results of these calculations are described in detail. Due to the complexity of the calculation the modified nearest neighbour algorithm is suggested. Its process is programmed in MATLAB software and is described in detail. In this thesis the intention of reducing the coefficient of the limit in MATLAB is also presented and then these results are applied. In the conclusion the results of heuristic algorithms are carefully analysed and compared with interim results of MPL.
