Principals, switching functions and routing techniques in computer networks
Dvořák, Pavel ; Pelka, Tomáš (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis consider main principles and function of active network components. Mainly is intent to component working on the third level of referential model ISO/OSI, router. There are described its main parts and more closely charactered routing protocols. Then is verified the ability of dynamic routing to react to failure in the network and there is measured the reaction time of crossing to secondary route when using different routing protocols. Another part of the thesis is focused on the questions of Quality of Service (QoS) and its support in computer networks. There are explored various ways of the QoS configuration on the routers and the proper of them is chosen and applied to the test network.

QoS in IP network with the help of OMNeT++ simulation tool
Hudec, Lukáš ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Růčka, Lukáš (advisor)
The content of this thesis is giving information about the network simulator OMNeT++ and its superstructure INET Framework. In this thesis a sample simulation of IP network with the help of simulation package INET Framework is realized on this theme. The thesis also deals with analysis of possibilities, how to assure quality service in IP networks and subsequently implementation quality of service in surrounding of network simulator OMNeT++ and its superstructure INET Framework. The implementation is accomplished by two methods. The first method is implementation of differential service, in other words DiffServ, with the help of change the behavior of output. This change rest in sorting of data packets to different queues by their device priority. The second method shows principles of the technology MPLS and also function code protocol OSPF. The MPLS technology is realized by special routers with implemented moduls reservation protocol.

Pacemakers and electromagnetic interference
Lojková, Lea ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This work is focused on cardiac pacemakers and sources of electronic interference. The project partly follows another thesis made in the same field of interest (Ing. Kulík, Dept. of Control, Measurement and Instrumentation) and uses similar methodics of measurement. In the theoretical part of the work, the principles of nuclear magnetic resonance and magnetic resonance imaging are briefly explained and most common methods used in MRI are described, as well as the definition of a cardiac pacemaker, main events in pacemaker history and development. Cardiac pacemaker as a system is described in more detail, including construction, control, most common sensors and the ways of use. Electromagnetic interference of cardiac pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators is processed via a complete review since the oldest scientific paper from December 1991 till May 2009. In the second part, measuring of magnetic field is described, as well as the possibilities of monitoring of its effects on cardiac pacemakers. In fact, there are two possible ways of measuring. off-line exposition of the sample to the magnetic field followed by data acquisition via pacemaker programmer or the continuous on-line monitoring of the pacemaker activity by the means of measuring PC card. While the first method is reliable in cases where the is no sign of malfunction and makes the experiments with a dynamic exposition of sample possible, in some cases it detects a virtual malfunction also in cases where in reality the devices works perfectly. The second method enables a reliable continuous monitoring of pacemaker activity during the whole experiment and its only problem is a higher level of signal noise caused by the sample movement.

Thermoelectric Power Generation System
Brázdil, Marian ; Nerud, Pavel (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
In the last decade there is a rising interest in thermoelectric applications. Thermoelectric generators enabling the direct conversion of the heat into the electricity become attractive. This fact is caused by the demands of environmental operation and saving primary resources. Scientists intensively investigate and develop new materials and structures suitable for these applications. The efficiency of the thermoelectric conversion progressively increases. Unfortunately we have no available materials with sufficient thermoelectric properties which could provide cost-competitive price. Thermoelectric generators seem to be useable devices. For example, in case of the unused waste heat using of the thermoelectric generator can increase the overall effectiveness of the unit despite the low efficiency of the generator. This master thesis deals with the issue of the Peltier modules representing the main part of the thermoelectric generators. The physical principles and structures of the thermoelectric modules and the possibility of thermoelectric power production are described here. In the practical part of this thesis the design of the low power generator utilizing waste heat from biomass boiler Verner A 251.1 is proposed.

Architekturu lze ocenit teprve tehdy, když z velikosti vystoupí měřítko, z hmoty světlo a z času rytmus, barva a tónina. Podobně jako architektura závisí na tajuplné naléhavosti hudby, kterou jí dává prostor, tak hudba závisí na architektuře, s jejíž pomocí udržuje slyšitelné i neslyšitelné v čase. Bez hudby by se architektura úplně vytratila. Jestliže architekturu zredukujeme na pouhou materiální skutečnost, vznikne město hluku.“ Daniel Libeskind

The Problem of Freedom and Creativity in Nietzsche
Kobylka, Vít ; Novák, Aleš (advisor) ; Marek, Jakub (referee)
The Thesis aims to explore the problem of Freedom and Creativity in Nietzsche. It attempts to do so in respect to the two main concepts of his high and late writings. Concept of Superman and concept of the Eternal recurrence of the same. In this respect our text follows especially interpretations of Martin Heidegger. We begin our treatise with situating Nietzsche's concept of freedom among more traditional thought and we put emphasis on comparison of it to the philosophy of Baruch Spinoza. In the next phase we reject (with Martin Heidegger and Ivan Dubský) simplifying understanding of the Eternal reccurence which understands it as dull determinism. We also analyse the topic of Creativity in Nietzsche and introduce it as fundamental anthropological theme. In the following chapters we identify certain moods that allow us to experience perspective of the Eternal reccurence and the one of Superman, which gives us chance to understand both concepts in their connection. But this connection remains enigmatic and in the last chapter we try, with help of Kierkegaard's concept of the moment, to understand both thoughts in their complementarity not only united in the concept of creativity, but also through Nietzsche's concept of the moment, understood as the original understanding of one of the aspects of...
