Design and control of self balancing robot
Jiruška, Jiří ; Pohl, Lukáš (referee) ; Blaha, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with complete design and manufacturing of autonomous two wheeled self-balancing robot. The goal of this thesis is to maintain the robot in up-right position and to follow black line using camera. The robot is controlled using Raspberry Pi and driven by DC motors. This thesis includes the design and implementation of hardware and software parts. Subsequently there was created the dynamic model in Matlab/Simulink. Based on this model, the LQR and PID controller was designed.
Garden Computer
Štrba, Tomáš ; Jurzykowski, Michal (referee) ; Musil, Petr (advisor)
The primary purpose of this study is to design and implement automatic garden irrigation system with modern graphical user interface according to research of current imple\-men\-ta\-tions. This thesis focuses on physical elements that constitutes irrigation computer system, but also programs used to direct the operation of a computer system. In conclusion, the thesis describes design and development of modern graphical user interface that provides full control of the system.
Autonomous Race Car Control System
Knop, Petr ; Bidlo, Michal (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This master's thesis describes the hardware and software implementation of autonomous control system for RC toy car. This autonomous car had the task to follow a black line drawn on a white background. Car was enriched with wi-fi for data transfer to computers and the black line is detected by the camera. The main control module was implemented using a single board computer Raspberry Pi.
Smart Home Control System
Ševčík, Radek ; Fučík, Otto (referee) ; Maršík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with unconventional solutions in the field of home automation systems such as the central unit consisting of a miniature computer. The work includes architecture design, visualisation and control of such system
Mobile Robot Control via Smartphone
Kořenský, Matěj ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kubát, David (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about design and construction robot on Ackerman´s undercart and about choice of suitable sensors and camera. There is also described development and following production of control unit in the thesis. For the robot controlling is designed and made an aplication for Smarthphone with the Android operating system.
Driver and Hardware Module of MiWi Protocol for Linux
Hala, Martin ; Kořenek, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
The master's thesis is about a communication element - a hardware module, its design and implementation. The communication is to be maintained between a Linux embedded device and the sensors elements, using the MiWi protocol. The task is part of the IoT project, developed at FIT BUT. Furthermore, the paper describes design of a driver for the module, its likely solution, as well as the very implementation. Finally, the obtained experience is discussed in a summary, along the next step options on how to proceed further with the driver development.
Modelling and Realization of Systems for Intelligent Houses
Konečná, Zuzana ; Kočí, Radek (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
In my bachelors thesis I am focused on creating intelligent building control system Foxtrot. The main focus is on temperature control and security. The whole system is connected with an external sensor network. Between those two systems, the interface is created using Raspberry Pi and integrated web server.
Gate Unlocking by Voice
Bauer, Jan ; Pešán, Jan (referee) ; Schwarz, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this BSc. thesis is to create a device for authentication based on human voice. The solution is based on the BSAPI speech processing  library developed by Phonexia. The library written in C++ was ported to the Raspberry Pi B+ device. The core functionality of the application was implemented in a Python script. The resulting solution is certainly interesting and may become a reliable security system in near future.
Automatic Weather Forecast Station
Kraicinger, Lukáš ; Šátek, Václav (referee) ; Kunovský, Jiří (advisor)
Thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of current sensors for professional weather stations and a list of affordable sensors and control units. The practical part describes the design and realization of a prototype station including processing and presentation of measured data. The thesis contains the source files and electronic wiring diagrams.
Control and Position Stabilization of a Small Flying Drone
Martinec, Adrián ; Zamba, Martin (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a drone in a form of a plane, driven by autopilot. I have solved the selected issues using a theory of flight and regulators from an automatization area. The text describes a functional solution. Unfortunately because of an accident, no final tests were performed. A contribution of this work is in exploring a functionality of various parts that are used with a drone building process. That includes a use of regulators and creation of libraries driving those parts.
