Práce se zabývá vývojem palestinsko-izraelského konfliktu a především mírovým procesem od počátku 90. let. Na znalosti historických souvislostí staví rozbor struktury izraelské společnosti, především zdůrazňuje její výraznou etnickou a náboženskou diverzitu. Ve své stěžějní části je práce zaměřena na hlavní náboženské politické strany. Rozebírá jejich postoje k dlouhodobému konfliktu mezi Palestinci a Izraelci a jejich postoje a vliv na mírový proces směřující k vyrovnání mezi oběma národy.
Palestine – history, religion and democracy as obstacles to independence

Bachelor thesis focuses on the problematic development regarding Palestinian autonomy. It presents three aspects to evaluate the subject of this work. The first part describes the historical development of the conflict focusing on the impacts of development not only of Israel's political scene on Palestine, but also the development of the region itself and on the international scene as well. Religion, as the dominant element of politics not only in Israel, but also for many fundamentalist movements in Palestine, is discussed in the second part. This section focuses on defining Islam and Judaism, their differences, but also their common elements. The last section describes a brief democratic development in the Palestinian territories. Altogether their main purpose is to present whether it is possible for Palestine to be independent in the near future and if a longer peace is possible.
Israeli Settlements on Occupied Territories. A Problem of Israeli Domestic and International Politics

This bachelor thesis is focusing on the problem of Israeli settlements built on the occupied Palestinian territory. The main question is to which extend do these Israeli settlements support the internal and external integrity of the State of Israel The focus of this work is in the analysis of the role of the settlements. This is done both of historical point of view also in respect to Zionism, and considering the questions related to typology of the settlements, mechanism of getting the land and from the point of view of the internal political relationships including the international law. As well as taking into account the motivation of the settlers. The analysis confirmed, that the security and geopolitical situation of the State of Israel is so complex, that there is no simple and noncontroversial solution. Nevertheless, it is obvious the existence of the settlements is necessary for Israeli internal security despite all the negatives.
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the possibilities of its solution

This bachelor thesis deals with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Its main aim is to outline the possibilities of its solution. The first chapter gives an overview on the area of conflict and conflict resolution. In the second chapter, the policy and interests of the key actors in this conflict - Israel and Palestine - are investigated. The third chapter is devoted to the other actors - stakeholders - of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict: to the United States of America, Russia, the European Union and the United Nations.
The Role of Settlements in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the influence of the settlements on the peace process. It views the settlements as one of the problematic points of the permanent status. It also tries to outline the possibilities of future development of this problem regarding present situation. First part of the thesis presents historic moments that are important for this issue. The second part offers different views of the structure of settlements in the West Bank. The third part deals with the legal dimension of settlements, local administration, and the land-seizure methods. The fourth part is about political representation of the settlers, and also about anti-settler movements. The last part defines settlements as an obstacle in the peace process, and deals with perspectives of future disengagement possibilities.
Specifics of the business environment in Palestine

My bachelor thesis describes the business environment in Palestine and its specifics. Its first chapter deals with the component parts of the business environment in Palestine and analyzes historical connections, economic situation, infrastructure, political environment, demographic situation and foreign relations of the Palestinian National Authority. It also includes basic information on the territory. The second chapter of the thesis deals with cultural aspects of the business environment and negotiation in Palestine. Above all, it accents the role of religion. The main objective of my thesis is to provide unbiased information on the business environment in Palestine and so to help potential investors and other readers with their orientation in the territory.
The Role of the European Union in the Israeli-Palestinian Peace Process

The topic of this Bachelor Thesis is a role of the European Union in a conflict betweet the State Israel and the Palestinian Authority. It includes a sketch of a historical activity of European states in the region, but mainly it pursues the actual situation. It brings up a review of both bilateral and multilateral relations between the EU and either the State Israel or the Palestinian Authority. The Thesis also contains an analysis of the most actual events in the region, to whom also a question of Arab revolutions in 2011 is included. In the final part a possible future outlook is presented and recommendations for the EU's prospective activities are projected.
Economic, demographic and territorial implications of the conflict in Palestine

The following thesis is an analysis of the consequences of Israeli-Palestinian conflict in terms of economics, demographics and territory. The work is divided into three main chapters. The first one explains the historical development in the Middle East. Further it describes important events related to the conflict during the 20th century. The second chapter is devoted to analysis of economic, demographic and territorial implications of the conflict. It analyzes the development of selected macroeconomic indicators during the conflict. The demographic impact is described by the problem of Palestinian refugees and the population demographics in the area. In terms of territory it deals with issues of separation barrier, construction of Israeli settlements on Palestinian land, the problem of poor infrastructure or lack of drinking water. The third part is dedicated to resolving the conflict. It describes the temporary and permanent solutions, such as Road Map to peace, Israel's entry into NATO, cantonization, federalization or the plan of Geneva Initiative. The aim of this work is to highlight the negative effects of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians in the Middle East.
