The Strengths and Limitations of Input-Output Analysis in Evaluating Fiscal Policy
Líšková, Lenka ; Baxa, Jaromír (advisor) ; Kukačka, Jiří (referee)
"The Strengths and Limitations of Input-Output Analysis in Evaluating Fiscal Policy" by Bc. Lenka Liskova Abstract: The thesis addresses the recent debates on suitable macroeconomic policy and calls for an alternative evaluation and forecasting method of economic impact, by assessing the applicability of Leontief's input- output model. We concentrate on providing an insight into the entire process of input-output analysis, which yields computation of simple input-output multipliers - output, gross value added and income multi- pliers. Thanks to the ability to capture linkages in the economy, com- puted multipliers are used as a tool to evaluate the effects of vehicle scrappage schemes and ICT infrastructure investment subsidies applied within a sample of diverse developed countries - Australia, Germany, Japan, UK and USA. We also aim to provide a sufficient explanation of the input-output model and a computation manual based on the example of the Leontief open model and calculation of simple multipli- ers. In our research, we numerically evaluate the effects of fiscal stim- ulus measures in the automobile industry and ICT sector and provide their comparison among 5 countries with different industry structures. Most importantly, the thesis provides a suggestion for policy makers to consider applying input-output...
Comprehensive Web Audit Methodology
Sekulová, Kateřina ; Vlasák, Rudolf (advisor) ; Očko, Petr (referee)
A web site is often the first point of contact between the user and another person or company or organization, so that in the electronic world, a web site is like a calling card. Ideally therefore, a web site should load relatively quickly to prevent the user from looking elsewhere even before the web site has opened. Also, the web site should have a pleasant design to make it user-friendly, it should display helpful content, be widely accessible and, last but not least, fulfil the aims for which it was created. It is the responsibility of web site designers, programmers and creators to ensure that web sites fulfil their function. A web site audit - either during or after its construction - is the best way of checking that all factors relating to access, use, technical processes and other criteria function correctly. There are many audit companies on the market today, each of them offering the customer its own particular perspective, evaluation according to different criteria and audit conducted using various methods. Therefore, the first part of this work contains an overview of different perspectives used to assess the quality of web sites, as well as designers and the specific methodology they apply during web site audits. The theoretical part of this methodology ends with a way how the success and...

User interface optimization for a specific website
Petrželka, Lukáš ; Šubrta, Václav (advisor) ; Klimánek, David (referee)
This thesis shows on specific website common problems of many websites and offers their particular solutions. In the introduction is given explanation of selecting website and there are also mentioned main elements with bad functionality. Their bad functionality is proven trough user usability testing. Chapter Uživatelské testování původního stavu represents among others, that even easy form of testing method is very beneficial. Next chapters focus on structure of information optimization and also on elements and their graphic design, which make orientation in it easier. Not only in this website. The whole thesis also shows, that for website creation is not enough just a good programmer or designer, which is common, but also an expert on information architecture and usability of elements, which make orientation for users easier. And from that point of view is this thesis looking on optimization issue.
Design and Evaluation of User Interface for Canteen Information System
Štrbák, Tomáš ; Rudnitckaia, Julia (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this publication is to describe process and methods of user interface design in~theory and show application of methods in user interface design and evalutation of system Spokojená Jídelna. Reinforcing UX Principles in Existing User Interfaces
Pilát, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis explains meaning of user experience, its main aspects, selected methodology, its integration into agile development process and what UX maturity level can be represented in real company. It also deals with analysis of selected existing user interfaces used for network print management and its end users. Prototyping and user testing methods are iteratively applied to these user interfaces. Evaluation of these methods concludes the thesis with a recommendation what UX processes should be integrated for future development of user interfaces in Y Soft.
Creation of a User Interface of a Mobile Controller for Interactive Screens
Nová, Jana ; Novotný, Ota (advisor) ; Daněk, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to create a responsive front-end part of the mobile controller for applications on the interactive screens using modern frontend technologies. The theoretical chapters introduce to the readers the basic principles of accessibility and usability, including testing tools, which can be used for checking these principles. The aim of the practical part is to create a concise guide of front-end modern tools and technologies such as front-end frameworks, CSS preprocessors and tools for automating tasks on the front-end. In the practical part are these described tools and technologies used to create a mobile controller.
Prototyping of mobile apps and their testing in real environment
Ornst, Zdeněk ; Sigmund, Tomáš (advisor) ; Michaličová, Alexandra (referee)
This thesis describes process of designing mobile user interface with regard to the context of use. In this context the discipline of prototyping and its utilization for designing is further examined. Next focus is on the principles of user testing of usability in mobile applications. Building on theoretical knowledge the solution for usability testing of prototypes in real environment is proposed. It aims to more effective process of designing mobile applications. The solution is presented on real case with evaluation of its success.
Application of the principles and methodologies of web design in practice
Hřebík, Štěpán ; Vynikarová, Dana (advisor) ; David, David (referee)
In this diploma thesis the author wrote up actual theoretical basis, which every participant of the front-end development process of web-design should stick. There are categorization of websites, generalization of key-successful-web attributes and performance of two chosen design methodologies which are contained in the related part. In the practical part the author applied acquired knowledge on the real business subject especially by methodology combining. The prototype as a result is compiled from logical design series supported by research. There is a graphical design of home page also completing the whole result.
Evaluace www stránek vybraných municipalit
Doleželová, Eva
This paper establishes ground for the redesign of Brno-střed city district web page. For the purpose of this study web pages of several municipalities were evaluated: Brno-střed city district, Nové Město na Moravě, Praha 1 and Plzeň. Study shows how the selected municipalities fulfill the legal regulations of the Act no. 106/1999 on free access to information and the Act no. 81/2006 Coll. which states that municipalities are obligated to provide the information on web pages also to handicapped or disabled. Furthermore the usability analysis and quantitative survey were applied to municipality web page in Brno-střed region to determine the public needs and requirements. Presented findings indicate both significant failure in fulfilling the law and public dissatisfaction with Brno-střed web page content and structure. This dissertation provides sample solutions for web page usability.
