Effect of breathing training and DNS on lower esophageal sphincter and back pain in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease
Jandáková, Vladana ; Mádle, Kateřina (advisor) ; Babková, Lenka (referee)
This thesis focuses on lower esophageal sphincter and low back pain in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Common etiological factor of both GERD and low back pain frequently present in GERD patients is diaphragm dysfunction. Diaphragm fulfils respiratory, postural and sphincter functions, all these functions are interrelated which we benefit from in therapy. Theoretical section presents anatomy of the esophagus, upper and lower esophageal sphincters, diaphragm, follows etiology, diagnostic methods and treatment of GERD and LBP as well as common therapeutical approach by means of postural and respiratory physiotherapy. Basic principles of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization and Respiratory muscle training are presented and their use in the treatment of GERD and LBP. Practical section contains a case study of a patient diagnosed with GERD, kinesiological analysis, high resolution manometry of esophagus and therapy focused on diaphragm activation achieved by improving trunk stabilization and by optimising patient's breathing stereotype.
Arcimboldo - metaphor and thinking of collages at school
Šťastná, Renáta ; Špirk, Ivan (advisor) ; Daniel, Ladislav (referee)
Bc. Renáta Šťastná Abstrakt v anglickém jazyce This thesis -on Archimboldo - explores the possibilities of using the technique of collage in normal teaching in primary and secondary school. The goal of the work is to introduce primary school students to the technique of collage and to awaken in them visual arts appreciation based on metaphorical thinking . In each section a presentation is made on the work of famous painters in order to: - awaken creativity and an ability to create in order to enable students to experience success with their own work - teach critical thinking and self-reflection. - become aware of the influences which motivated painters to create each work. The practical section sets out tasks undertaken and based on their findings are recommendations on how they are to be put into practice.
Forest figuration
Jasparová, Lucie ; Bulava, Petr (referee) ; Ambrůz, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis Forest Figuration is set in the forest around Horní Loučky. In trees, trunks, uprooted roots and landscapes, I look for elements reminiscent of the human body. This process is recorded by various techniques. The whole work is accompanied by social separation, exacerbated by the pandemic of the Covid-19 disease, is based on closing in nature, watching natural cycles and respecting the landscape itself. The work is a collection of works within an exceptionally long time in the forest and is also an initiating moment for further development in later work.
Snowpack energy balance in forest environment: spatial and temporal variability of shortwave and longwave radiation
Hotový, Ondřej
Snowpack energy balance in forest environment: spatial and temporal variability of shortwave and longwave radiation Assessment of the role of forest on snowmelt processes and snowpack attributes contributes to the accuracy of spring floods forecasting. An importance of the coniferous forest consists in change of the snowpack energy balance. Forest reduces the total amount of solar radiation, however trees cause emitting of longwave radiation, both factors are fundamentally reflected in time of snowmelt in forest environment. Master thesis focuses on temporal and spatial variability of shortwave and longwave radiation depending on the structures of vegetation cover. Individual site types were defined as an open area, a forest affected by the bark beetle (Ips typographus) and a healthy coniferous forest, based on the hemispheric images of vegetation and its Leaf Area Index (LAI). Moreover, repeated manual measurements of the snow depth and snow water equivalent (SWE) were done in plots during winter period 2016/2017 in the Ptačí Brook catchment in the Šumava Mountains, and an analysis of shortwave and longwave radiation data the radiometers in plots was performed. Radiation fluxes in different plots were described in daily and seasonal scale, including the calculation of total heat from shortwave and...

Time lapse travel
Sodomková, Natálie ; Smetana, Matěj (referee) ; Vaněk, Vojtěch (advisor)
Project "Time lapse travel" is simple 2D adventure game, placed in real environment of Vodarensky les near Svitavy. Content is about fairy tales, folklore, time, magic realism and my own personal mythology. My goal is to create a specific atmosphere with stylization of the theme and distinctive visual art style. Whole project is a connection of experiments and digital games together to ask the question if its posssible for the interaction to provide a subjective atmosphere.
Bird abundances and the height of vegetation
Černohorská, Eliška ; Hořák, David (advisor) ; Hanzelka, Jan (referee)
Bird abundance, it means the number of individuals at a specific site relates to the number of species in the area. It is common that species-richer habitats contain more individuals. Bird abundance which detected most frequently during the breeding period is influenced by the vertical structure of the vegetation so that habitats with low vegetation (e.g. grasslands) occupy smaller numbers of birds than the cover of higher vegetation (e.g. shrublands and forests). Most often total bird abundance positively correlates with increasing vegetation height determined by successional stages. Based at the stated studies, it is evident that bird species respond to vegetation height and its changes in a specific way, therefore it is difficult to make general conclusions. Negative correlation between vegetation height and bird abundance observed in some studies can be caused by various methods of data collection on vegetation height in different areas. In my opinion, bird abundance relates more to vegetation density and vegetation stratification than to vegetation height. The reason is that bird occurrence in forest habitats is impacted by well-developed undergrowth not just by forest canopy height. To further clarify how vegetation height affects bird abundance, we need more research that would compare bird...
Spica/ Brno, Nove sady 49°11'20.3"N 16°36'29.4"E
Csanda, Denis ; Kisová, Barbora (referee) ; Nový, Vítězslav (advisor)
Design „micro-urbanism“ in designated area. Aim of this work is to find suitable development strategy of open city block. Bachelor‘s thesis adresses design of poly-functional building, including town hall and housing in city Brno. The main theme is to find maximal, yet optimal solution to site, which functions as parking space. The design tries to complete corner of designated city block, which will be part of future „south“ neighbourhood. The townhall and housing should function in harmony, which means the building will „live“ all-day long. The site is located in the node of historic centre and new planned neighbourhood. Between the site and neighbouring building will be parking garage tucked under the ground. Also there will be multifunction hall undergound center of the site. Design of the volume is complex and consists of pedestal and 3 towers. These towers volumes pixelate into the pedestal and open into the courtyard. Facade consists od unite form, which disolves and open in the upper levels.
Development of Forest Valuation Methods in the Czech Republic
Absolonová, Jana ; Klika, Pavel (referee) ; Vala, Vlastimil (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to define the issue of determining the administrative price and market value of forest in the Czech Republic. The thesis describes the evolution of methods of determining the price of forest in history since 1897. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the current problem of determining the market value of forest in the Czech Republic. The current situation is documented by a case study, which deals with the determination of the administrative price and market value. The study compares these two values. The final analysis is focused on recommendations of corrections of existing valuation regulations and method of market valuation of forest.
