Diagnostics and assessment of the structure of bridge

This diploma thesis focuses on diagnostics of bridge structures. First part of this diploma thesis will focus on theoretical knowledge about bridge structures and common diagnostic techniques suited for examining material priperties of samples taken from structure. Second part of this thesis will focus on practical use of experiments used in diagnostic branch. I will be doing visual observation of concrete structure followed by experiments on core samples. End of thesis will be evaluating structure from global perspective and will deliver specific sugestions for renovation.

Assessment of the technical condition of the sewer network in the village

The bachelor's thesis deals with the assessment of the construction and technical condition of the sewer network in a selected village. The research part is focused on maintenance, types and frequency of failures and inspection techniques to control the condition of the sewer network and propose reconstruction. The works include czech and foreign methodologies for evaluating the condition of the sewer network. In the practical part, a camera inspection of selected sections of the sewer network was performed, followed by a defect coding and evaluation according to two methodologies. Conforming to the assessment of the condition of individual sewer sections and manholes, rehabilitation was proposed.

Investigative powers of the competition authorities

The dissertation thesis is concerned with the investigative powers of the competition authorities, namely the European Commission and the Czech Office for the Protection of Competition. Essential investigative powers of competition authorities include requests for information, on-site inspections of business premises and other premises and sector inquiries. The competition authorities may use investigative powers in order to find evidence proving the violation of competition rules. One of the main aims of this thesis is to thoroughly analyze the current EU and Czech legislation concerning investigative powers of the competition authorities, including the relevant case law of EU and Czech courts. The main goal of the thesis is to define basic principles associated with investigative powers. These principles determine not only the direction of the legislation but also guide the steps of the competition authorities in specific cases. Most of these principles, which are superior to legal regulation, stems from the fundamental rights of investigated entities. The important part of this thesis will be a detailed analysis of the possibilities of defense of the investigated entities against misuse of investigative powers by the competition authorities. Inspection of welded joints of loading ramps

This master's thesis is focused on problem of welding of loading ramps and inspection of their welded joints. The aim of this thesis is to inspect the welds of loading ramps with regarding to the appearance of defects. The literature review of the research issues of the MIG welding technology and welding of aluminium and its alloys is described in this thesis. There is also described destructive and non-destructive inspection of welds that can be applied to inspection of loading ramps. Theoretical description is followed by an experimental part of the thesis. Experimental part is focused on the three destructive tests (the tensile, the macroscopic and the hardness test) of samples of loading ramps, which are made of EN AW-6005A T6.

Brand Development of the selected Company

This master’s thesis analyses a brand of selected company Engineering Test Institute, public enterprise (SZU), which offers services of testing, inspection and certification. Theoretical part of the thesis is focused on literature research of marketing and branding theories. The key part is the analytical part, which contains a detailed analysis of the current state of the brand "Engineering Testing Institute". The thesis also contains a questionnaire survey focused on both the internal environment of the company and its customers. The research is followed by a final part with possible suggestions on how to further develop the brand.
