Activization of a client with psychiatric diagnosis in sheltered housing

Bachelor thesis deals with schizophrenia and outlines her socially. The main objective is to find out the activation of clients living in sheltered housing. Whether the client perceives their health and is consequently able to participate in activating programs. If the client is actively being responsible with his family, and is positively influenced and thus is able to see the future positively. In my work I put forth eight interviews I had with clients from sheltered housing - Bona o.p.s. interviews. I analyzed and subsequently determined whether the predetermined assumptions were confirmed or not.

The Palliative Care of Dying People with Intellectual Disabilities in Sheltered Housing

My diploma thesis is called The Palliative Care of Dying People with Intellectual Disabilities in Sheltered Housing. The purpose of the text is to create an overview study of palliative care about dying people with mental disabilities. The reason why I have decided to focus on such a relevant issue is a wide shortage of information in Czech Republic compared to other countries. People with mental disabilities nowadays tend to live longer and the question of palliative care for them is crucial. My thesis is divided into six main sections. In the first section I talk about the ethics dilemma of palliative care. By ethics dilemma I mean problems that are needed to be dealt with in palliative care. One of them is the decision if it is adequate to die in an institution or in a home environment. In this section for instance it is described if it is necessarily to tell the truth the patients about their health conditions. The text is also referring to the medical advances comparing to quality of life of dying people. I also describe what the quality of life means to people and how to reach the highest level of quality of life in palliative care. System of care for people with deafblindness in the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with deafblind people and their lives. The work investigates how the system of care for these people works in the Czech Republic and how the clients themselves are satisfied with this care. The introductory theoretical part provides basic information about dual sensory impairment, it explains the concept of "deafblindness", describes its classification, etiology and diagnosis. Attention is also given to several fundamental pillars of care of people with deafblindness, such as communication, education, social services, career success, socialization, aids, etc. Second part of this thesis consists of research that has been done using questionnaires with aim to determine how the care of the deafblind is implemented in the Czech Republic and how it is evaluated by particular clients. Survey results have provided personal reference of deafblind individuals about services, organizations and aids, about their frequency and availability. Supported Housing for Persons with Learning Disability from the Viewpoint of Those Persons

The thesis focuses on supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities and the personal experience of such persons using various types of such housing. The first chapter contains the theoretical basis of this topic and its subchapters list certain trends in social services. It contains the definition of the expression supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities and its individual types. Chapter two focuses on the users of the social services consisting in provision of supported protected housing for persons with learning disabilities. Its first subchapter focuses on the expression of adulthood, the other subchapters then deal with psychological characteristics and particular features of persons with learning disabilities. Chapter three contains the research. It contains the justification of the research issue, stipulates the objective of the thesis, and defines the research questions. Sheltered housing for people with physical disabilities

Diplomová práce "Chráněné bydlení pro osoby s fyzickým postižením" se věnuje aspektům, které zasahují do vzniku a úspěšného poskytování této služby. Jedná se o aktuální otázku, která je v souladu s cíli probíhajícího procesu transformace sociálních služeb, který směřuje k individualizaci sociální péče a přechodu ke komunitnímu typu pobytových služeb s důrazem na sociální začlenění uživatelů, což by služba chráněného bydlení měla pomoci naplnit. Prvotním záměrem práce bylo prozkoumat využití, případně absenci, metodických materiálů ve vztahu k chráněnému bydlení a na základě těchto zjištění navrhnout jejich úpravy či doplnění. Dále nahlédnout do důvodů, které způsobují nedostatek chráněného bydlení pro osoby s fyzickým postižením oproti možnostem pro osoby s postižením mentálním. Data byla sbírána prostřednictvím hloubkových rozhovorů s poskytovateli chráněného bydlení (či jejich zástupci) a analyzována dle principů kvalitativního výzkumu pomocí otevřeného, axiálního a selektivního kódování. V průběhu sběru a analýzy dat vyplynulo, že poskytovatelé metodické materiály příliš nevyužívají a neudávali tedy jejich výrazný dopad na praxi.
