Aplication of Technology Wire Electrical Discharge Machining

This master´s thesis focuses on the basic principles of the nonconventional technology of electrical discharge machining (EDM) with an emphasis on wire-cut electrical discharge machining performed in a mediumsized company. The thesis deals with manufacture of a belt pulley 75-8M-130, and checks of accuracy of wire-cut EDM machines. Following the study of the current status of electrical discharge machining in the engineering company, measures for assurance and increase of accuracy of wire-cut EDM machines are proposed.

Selected macroeconomic effects of exchange rate appreciation

This bachelor thesis is focused on the effects of exchange rate appreciation. The goal of this thesis is to describe and explain the effects of the exchange rate appreciation on the basis of following indicators: the development of the current account, investments, savings, export and import. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the practical part, I will illustrate the basic principles and definitions of the exchange rate in general and describe various kinds of exchange rate systems. Secondly, I will closer characterize the balance of payment and examine the basic effects of exchange rate appreciation using the Kappler analysis. Consequently, I will depict the currency appreciation on a graphical chart with particular countries. I will also analyse the development of individual indicators in particular countries.

Faith, reason and experience in the popular medicine of late-medieval Bohemia

The thesis was created in connection with a previous study of Czech printed medical literature from the 16th century. For the purposes of the thesis I newly focused on medical manuscripts written in the 15th and the 16th century, which I consider to be a unique resource for understanding of the popular medicine. Chosen Czech written texts represent a boundary field, the mix of popular therapy and learned medicine. There were two dominant aetiologic conceptions in the medieval period: a) medical one, b) religious one. According the first one, a cause of illness was viewed as an imbalance of humours. According the religious conception, a cause of illness was considered to be supernatural: either God or devil. I expected lots of manifestations of second conception (prayer, fasting, ritual or other magical acts) and stress on experience in our manuscript sources. It is hard to discern whether we deal with licit religious act or with illicit magic in certain examples, but there are some clues. Firstly, the evidence of magic might be a strong confidence in ritual itself. Secondly, we can observe both laws of sympathetic magic in our manuscripts. The final thesis is about water elements of river landscape. There is a description of morphology and establishment of floodplain, oxbow lakes, periodic pools and the river itself. The target of work was to recognize, analyse and understand to area and design the enhancing solution of a current state from a point view of landscape architect. The terrain research and make photo material was held at first. After studying of literature and on-line sources there was a summary of analysis created and followed the design of solution. The bank vegetation was designed on the Dolni louky for support of animals and vegetation and enhance of landscape character. The design of non-intervention forest area helps the landscape retention and watch the natural processes. Flooded crop fields are designed like a meadow also for better retention of water. The new bike path allows the spread of visitors around the area and enjoy the ride on protection dyke.

Exploring Higher Order Dependency Parsers

Most of the recent efficient algorithms for dependency parsing work by factoring the dependency trees. In most of these approaches, the parser loses much of the contextual information during the process of factorization. There have been approaches to build higher order dependency parsers - second order, [Carreras2007] and third order [Koo and Collins2010]. In the thesis, the approach by Koo and Collins should be further exploited in one or more ways. Possible directions of further exploitation include but are not limited to: investigating possibilities of extension of the approach to non-projective parsing; integrating labeled parsing; joining word-senses during the parsing phase [Eisner2000]

Rights and duties of a forest owner

87 Abstract Rights and Duties of Forest Owner The purpose of my final thesis is to analyse rights and duties of a forest owner. Legal regulation of forest management is necessary for many reason. Above all, there is public interest in protection and preservation of forest as an irretrievable component of the environment. The thesis is composed of eleven chapters, each of them dealing with different aspects of forest management. First three chapters are introductory. They describe the development of ownership structure and forest categories. Then it looks at relevant Czech legislation, in particular at the Forest Act (N. 289/1995 Coll., as amended) and Act N. 114/1992 Coll., as amended, providing for the protection of nature and landscape. Chapter Four characterises the term Forest and discusses property rights to forests and their restrictions by the forest and forest-relating regulation. At this stage, I outline the basic duties of forest owner in his business activities. Next chapters focus on the main topic of my thesis, namely legal regulation of forest protection, specifically protection of land designated to fulfil the function of forest, protection of forest business activities and protection of forest against detrimental agents. Divorce and the legal regulation of relationship between parents and a child after divorce

61 6 Divorce and legal regulation of proportion of parents to the minor child for a period after divorce 6.1 Resumé This diploma deals with the Czech legal regulation of divorce of marriage and status of the minor child during and after the divorce procedure. In the second chapter, following the introduction, is described the divorce itself. The divorce is the only possible legal dissolution of the marriage throughout spouses' life upon the qualified breakdown. As demanded by law, the qualified breakdown has to be deep, permanent and the restoration of cohabitation cannot be expected. The Czech legal regulation recognizes tree forms of divorce, (i) non-contentious (consensual) divorce, (ii) contentious divorce and (iii) divorce with harshness clause. Non-contentious divorce (hereinafter referred to as "consensual divorce") was amended in our legal regulation in 1998 by the act No. 91/1998 Coll. In my opinion this consensual divorce is the best how to dissolve the marriage from the point of view of the protection of the child's interests. Cílem této práce je implementace algoritmu pro dolování z dat pro použítí v astrofyzice. V práci jsou představeny základní pojmy a principy dolování z dat. Zejména jeho obecná definice, rozlišení mezi klasifikací a regresí a vyhodnocování přesnosti modelu. Text se zabývá převážně učením s učitelem. Blíže představeny jsou algoritmy založené na rozhodovacích stromech. Je definován rozhodovací strom jako model a uveden obecný algoritmus pro tvorbu rozhodovacích stromů z dat. Jsou diskutována různá kritéria dělení v uzlech (zejména založená na etropii), kritéria pro ukončení růstu a ořezávání stromů. Pro ilustraci jsou uvedeny vybrané algoritmy - ID3, CART, RainForest a BOAT. Na dříve uvedených informacích je založena kapitola o souborech rozhodovacích stromů. Zabývá se základními způsoby jejich kombinací (bagging a arcing) . Detailněji je popsán obecný algoritmus náhodných lesů a RandomForest TM jako příklad jeho praktické realizace. Na základě srovnání algoritmů a provedených experimentů v literatuře jsou k implementaci vybrány náhodné lesy. Implementovaný algoritmus je detailněji popsán - k dělení uzlů používá Gini entropie a průměrnou kvadratickou chybu, ignoruje chybějící hodnoty a pro kombinaci výstupů jednotlivých stromů používá většinové hlasování / průměr. Jako formát vstupních a výstupních dat je zvolena podmnožina ARFF formátu. Architektura implementace je ilustrována UML diagramy s popisujícím komentářem. Jednotlivé aspekty implementace jsou stručně popsány - implementačním jazykem je C++11, je využívána knihovna Boost (zejména chytré ukazatele, serializace, nastavení parametrů a konfigurační soubory, ...) společně s dalšími volně dostupnými knihovnami (google-glog pro logování, googletest pro jednotkové testování, ...). Grafického výstupu je dosaženo tiskem modelu náhodného lesu do XML souboru a jeho transformací skriptem do jazyka DOT. Pro oveření validity a vlastností implementace a jejího srovnání s jinými implementacemi náhodných stromů (Waffles, RF-ACE a R - balíček randomForest) jsou navrženy, popsány a provedeny exprimenty: klasifikace astronomických těles na základě barevných indexů, regrese rudého posuvu na základě barevných indexů, osm klasifikačních a pět regresních experimentů na datech z UCI repository. Průběh experimentů je plně automatizován skripty (Bash, Python a R) a je měřena doba učení modelů. Z výsledků experimentů vyplývá, že autorova implementace si vedla výborně při klasifikaci a průměrně při regresi; z časového hlediska měla problémy při datech s mnoha instancemi. Výsledkem práce je zdokumentovaná, snadno rozšiřitelná implementace náhodných lesů v jazyce C++ s grafickým znázorněním modelu, mnoha možnostmi nastavení a experimentálně ověřenou funkčností. Diskuze o dalším možném pokračování projektu se zabývá zejména odstraněním problemů s časovou náročností a přídáním nových funkcionalit.

Práce zahrnuje úvodní obecnou analytickou část, jejímž účelem je stručné informativní shrnutí současného poznání a komplexní podstaty řešené alejové problematiky. Na tuto část navazují konkrétní kapitoly v rámci odborné aplikované části: Mapování a dokumentace alejí (popisující stanovené a odzkoušené metody mapování, dokumentace a evidence sledovaných jevů a prvků významných alejových linií a stromořadí v krajině), Množení alejových dřevin (kde jsou rozebrány vhodné metody přemnožení vybraných alejových dřevin, péče o ně a jejich další pěstování) a Obnova a management historických alejí (kde jsou popsány jak současné postupy a principy péče a ochrany alejí a jejich dřevin, tak i používané metody (včetně zahraničních) revitalizací a obnov, které jsou významné z hlediska současné praxe).
