Comparing Neurophysiological Methods to Functional Therapy in Treatment of Cerebral Palsy from Newborns To Adolescents- A literary review
Smetana, Christer ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Véle, František (referee)
Title: Comparing Neurophysiological Methods to Functional Therapy in Treatment of Cerebral Palsy from Newborn to Adolescents Investigative questions: What are the scientifically proven advantages of Neurophysiological Methods and Functional therapy, respectively? In what situations would one treatment approach be more beneficial than the others? Background: Cerebral palsy is the most prevalent of the chronic childhood motor disability disorders, with a prevalence of approximately 2 in every 1000 live born. Definitions and classifications have been varying for the last 150 years, leading to a great deal of confusion and controversy in this field of paediatric medicine, resulting in varying recommendations in terms of therapy. In complex cooperative therapy team is necessary in each individual, and in terms of physiotherapeutic treatment, two big and very distinct blocks of treatment philosophies are found, namely the Neurophysiologic Method and the Functional Therapy. Previously, no definite recommendations towards therapy has been provided, and many studies simply conclude that the field of cerebral palsy, despite centuries of attention, still lacks substantial parts of information to conclude with anything in particular. The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate and compare the Neurophysiological...

Obesity and schizophrenia: Motivation for Wellness program participation
Hynková, Tereza ; Bankovská Motlová, Lucie (advisor)
The Wellness Programme is the first psycho-educational programme for the people suffering from psychotic illnesses in the CR. Its main task is to educate these people about the healthy lifestyle, especially the healthy diet and the importance of physical exercise, and the obesity prevention. It is a group programme led by trained instructors, mostly by nurses. The recent surveys have brought positive results: the programme leads to weight loss in patients, reduces social isolation and is very popular among the patients. In the terrain questionnaire survey we have 1) mapped the physical health among the people with schizophrenia, and 2) explored their satisfaction with the programme. We studied the Wellness Programme in the CR spring 2008 participants. The file consisted of 27 questioned, 11 men and 16 women. The average age was 37 years, average BMI was 30, 9. The patients suffered from physical diseases, most often from hypertension and stomach problems. The participants appreciated most of all practical instructions and the possibility of meeting people with the same complaints. Generally, the organization suited well, the programme got the total mark 2.04 (1 best, 5 worst). While the preventive character of the programme in the obesity therapy works well, the task of weight gain prevention has to be...

Yoga - Antistress System
Lošťák, Jiří ; Potměšil, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Čichoň, Rostislav (referee)
Name of the thesis: Yoga-anti stress system Goals of the thesis: Today's hasty time brings lots of negative impact on humans. People are always busy having no time for themselves especially for their body and mind. The goal of this thesis is to prove a positive impact of yoga exercise on human body and mind. Other impact involves stress elimination. By the help of this thesis I would like to demonstrate that an everyday yoga implementation can lead to a total anti stress and relaxing way oflife without any stress response. Methods: The thesis is based on a specific yoga exercise targeted at body and mind stress elimination. This exercise was done by pre-determined groups of di:fferent-age yoga gymnasts (either beginners or intermediate ones). The beginners were examined with the help of interviews, observation or questionnaires in a given time span (6 months). At the beginning of the research a form was filled in with appropriate data and after six months the process was replayed. Afterwards, on grounds of given data proper changes in questionnaire points have been analysed. Other interviewees undergoing the research comprised yoga non-practising individuals, intermediate yoga gymnasts and advanced individuals. The research of these groups was based on a comparison method (condition before the...

Analyses and optimization of efficiency in agriculture and wood-working company
Jágerová, Tereza ; Fábry, Jan (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jan (referee)
This thesis aspires to optimize the processes in agriculture and wood-working company and to propose some changes if needed. At first, it is wood-working branch which is analyzed. The intent is to find an optimal route to distribute pallets and afterwards freight the vehicle by sawn wood and return back with. This is some modification of travelling salesman problem with more than one salesman and more centers including the condition that the travelling is dynamic in time and that only selected clients are visited. The agriculture problem is more complicated and complex because the model aims to find an optimal portfolio of diverse animal and vegetal production influenced by many factors and some of them are mentioned below. The agriculture model includes for example the stochastic character of weather and the condition that the herd of cattle should be stable.

The present of nonmalignant radiotherapy
DIBELKOVÁ, Stanislava
Non-malignant radiotherapy is medical exposure, which is done with benign disease after exhausting all other standard treatments. Its goal is relief from problems caused by benign disease, or prevents deterioration of function of the affected organ. The main difference between the radiation treatments of malignant versus non-malignant diseases is in the size of the received dose and irradiation techniques. For irradiation of malignant diseases, often approaching tissue tolerance doses, while those used in non-malignant radiation therapy are significantly lower. These results in simpler techniques of irradiation, often get by with one or two input fields. The main principle of non-malignant radiotherapy is applied as the smallest and most effective individual and total dose into the smallest possible volume of tissue, then use simple techniques (direct one field, or two opposite), if necessary, take the form of individual treatment of irradiated fields, focus the radiation beam from the body of the patient from a radiosensitive organs, using all methods of radiation protection (for example lead shielding of the testes in men, lead collar on the neck, etc.), patient age should not be less than 40 years, younger patients should be treated like this after considering the benefits relation to the possible consequences. The patient is sent to the radiotherapy on the advice of another field. Indication for radiotherapy is entirely the responsibility of the radiation oncologist. Prescriber physician recommendation states that it is a state in which all other treatment methods are exhausted or not applicable. The physician takes into account contraindications treatment, the overall condition of the patient and his age. The patient is on treatment and possible side effects informed by the doctor before starting treatment with signed informed consent to treatment. To indicate a treatment planning is necessary history and other investigations in relation to the disease. After completion of radiotherapy department of radiation oncology ensures borreliosis acute flare reaction. The department will evaluate whether the radiation prescription and treatment plan followed. The patient is a report on the treatment handed over to the care of the sending physician. In this thesis is the research question: Causes the development of therapeutic modalities reduction of treatments of nonmalignant radiotherapy? To answer this research question was obtained data from the archive and irradiation protocols of radiotherapy departments of hospitals in the České Budějovice and in the Jihlava. It was the data of non-malignant indications for radiotherapy conducted in 1979, 1980, 2012 and 2013, irradiation parameters and techniques. In the České Budějovice in 1979-1980 were treated 1471 patients and 854 patients in Jihlava. In 2012-2013, it was only 793 patients in the České Budějovice, which is 48.4% less. In the same period in Jihlava it was 413 patients which mean about 53.9% less. Techniques irradiation in both hospitals significantly differed mainly in the fractionation, the size of individual and total dose varies in the manner of filtration volume. Although the indications for non-cancer radiotherapy declining, it still has for its final effect irreplaceable role.

Prevention of the development of motor disorders by using Vojta therapy - specificity and sensitivity of the indication tests of posture reactions
Kofránková, Marie ; Doležal, Aleš (advisor)
Do MUDr.Doležala surgery I got in compulsory optional course "Children and adolescents with disabilities" kept MUDr.Palyzovou. This internship I was intrigued, so I have the theme of my thesis so i chose to deepen their knowledge and ability to monitor the psychomotor development of the child, his disorder, and I knew (and could further recommend) the possibility of preventing the development of these disorders. Research on the effectiveness of Vojta reflex locomotion methods discussed in many authors before me, and their results speak in favor of this method (this the experimental study). My work deals with diagnostic tests - positional response of the child. In the event that the response does not correspond to a given position developmental stage at which the child according to his age should be, it is appropriate correct the broken motor development as just Vojta, we prevent later complications. It is of course necessary to monitor psychomotor comprehensive child development - how it manifests itself spontaneously, what has reflexes sval.tonus, corresponds to the position of individual reactions. Postural reactions to some benefits - are not influenced by the current mood of the child in the office (they are always the same) and their use can be determined motorized vulnerable children earlier than...

Romanies and health care
Čížková, Marie ; Havrdová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Boženský, Jan (referee)
This thesis is engaged in health provision problems in non integrated Romany population who live at the low social level. This is the qualitative research focused on practices and beliefs associated with health provision (it means family treatment, prevention, adherence to physician recommendation, ....), a different perception and a communication with health care providers. Romanies do not practice prevention of illnesses and they come to the physician when a disease is far gone. Usually reason for seeing a doctor is a pain. Romanies fear serious diagnosis and an invasive examination or treatment. Romanies are very emotional and it gets manifested in their behaviour. They ventilate their emotions without scruples. A different perception, a style of communication, a low level of education and a hard approach to information have an influence on a level of health provision in some Romany population. The key to positive change is well developed communication between the health providers and Romany patients and their families. It means not to expert language, to explain everything comprehensively and clearly, to be patient, to support feedback from the patient.
