Title: Visual tools for mental processes support Author: Bc. Jiří Šejnoha Department: Department of Applied Mathematics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Zdeněk Hedrlín, CSc. Abstract: The idea of work is the use of nonlinear model of mental processes as a means of representation considerations (the projection of the human mind), with thesis so registered thoughts, compared to a standard linear form of written text, to better understand particularly complex considerations, their contexts, integration and support their utříbení. Model mental processes is designed based on inspiration by buoy (Herbart's) and while model. The following discussion of its limits, and the legitimacy of comparing with similar models: Model Theater, MoM, Carnap's model of the mind and NOGA model. Implementation of the work includes a formalization of the design model. The draft also implementation and implementation, which is then used to verify the thesis contribution for users using a questionnaire. The results are discussed and on this basis is formed by the end. Keywords: mind, mental process, model, understanding, tool, while

Sentinel lymph node biopsy has become an importatnt tool for axillary lymph node staging in women with early-stage breast cancer. The sentinel node (SN), "guardian node," is the first node that drains the tumor. It is assumed that this node is the first location to which the tumor spreads by lymphatics. In certain cases, more of these nodes may be present. In breast cancer, the sentinel node is usually found in the axilla, although in a small percentage of cases it can be present wherever in the lymphatic system of the breast. The procedure is associated with much less morbidity than axillary dissection, and it has become the axillary staging procedure of choice for many surgeons. It appears that blue dye or radiocolloid, or both, may be used to identify the sentinel node effectively. A variety of injection techniques have been verified succesfully, and many factors previously thoughtto affect the accuracy of the procedure have been shown to be of limited signficance. The indications for the procedureare expanding, and the histopathological evaluation of the sentinel node have been clarified. The positive result of imunohistochemical evaluation of the sentinel node have prognostic significance and should alter the therapy. The aim of the model phase was to test if the location of the tumor and its sentinel...

Miniaturizovaný řasový biotest
Lukavský, Jaromír
Growth algal bioassay is based on long-term cultivation of a testing alga with tested substance in nutrient solution, or in a sample from nature. The bioassay is at least 3 generations and also chronic affects or influence of repruction process can be so detected. The yield of biomass of testing alga in a sample from nature represent the maximal biomass which could be expected in nature without limitation with light, temperature, CO2 and predation.Miniaturized bioassay is exploating cultivation of algae in wells of an immunological plate in volumes of 0.2 ml. In a plate 9x13 cm, there are 96 wells which enables us to expose 10 samples every in 6 replicates, 2x25 plates in a cultivation unit of size of a common table has capacity of 3 000 miniaturized cultures. Their filling, inoculation and evaluation can be facilitated with a great spectrum of tools and equipments for immunological assays.

New Media and Society
Fedorová, Markéta ; Rosický, Antonín (advisor) ; Říhová, Zora (referee)
The thesis deals with the phenomenon of new media and its influence on the society. The work especially applies itself to the impact of new media on human conduct and human knowledge. The first part (Chapters: introduction and theoretical bases) of the thesis introduces the dilemma of new media and the society; it deals with a theoretical media frame, communication, knowledge and some selected implications of informatization. The third chapter (Media evolution) tries to map media evolution from the emergence of language until contemporary electronic media with regard to consumer's limitations, society and media itself. The fourth chapter (Impact of new media on human knowledge and human conduct) deals with, from two perspectives, some current topics as the media influence on society. The first view delivers an insight on the relationship of new media and knowledge. It refers to information abundance to the detriment of information quality, the tendency of access acceleration to information and working with information. This chapter in particular cases shows how information can become an effective tool for manipulation of power, political and economic interests. It also indicates risks of wrong human decision making due to misinformation. The second view suggests changes in human behaviour in cyberspace; it indicates what are signs of confluence of "front stage" and "back stage" behaviour. The fifth chapter (Empirical research), with respect to previous parts of this work, defines hypothesis of the new media influence on the knowledge and human conduct; it attempts to prove their validation in this research. The sixth chapter (How to use new media) suggests a way which should be followed by the society providing that education of an individual who stands up to the information and media society shall be the aim of the society. The last chapter (Conclusion) summarizes the basic ideas, provides for possible solutions and outlines a trend which should be, in relation to new media, followed by the society.

Tax evasion in the value-added tax and the excise taxes in the Czech Republic
Pavlovská, Barbora ; Svátková, Slavomíra (advisor) ; Klazar, Stanislav (referee)
The aim of this thesis is a classification of the groups of tax evasion in the value-added tax and the excise taxes in the Czech Republic and its evaluation. The theoretical part is concerned with the definition of the tax evasion, the causation of its emergence and selected tools which can limit the tax evasion. The practical part describes the situations which form the tax evasion in the value-added tax and the excise taxes in the Czech Republic within several years. On the basis of the previous situation the classification of the groups of tax evasion is made. Then there are discovered the main groups of the tax evasion which are repeated every period and some of them are also the main groups of tax evasion in the European Union. Among the subordinate groups, we can find those which are less important or they appear rarely.

Market segmentation and cluster analysis
Zuzák, Jaroslav ; Vilikus, Ondřej (advisor) ; Hebák, Petr (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of statistic-analytical tools in market segmentation (i.e. a marketing concept), which is introduced as well. The theoretical part focuses on cluster analysis and its best-known algorithms, their assumptions and from those following possible usefulness and potential limitations. In the practical part a segmentation study of gallery and museum visitors is conducted on the basis of lifestyle and leasuretime activities variables. The resulting segments are profiled using other variables to create a more real-life image of the visitors and nonvisitors of galleries and museums.

The Role of the Premium Brand Marlboro in the Product Portfolio of the Company Philip Morris ČR a.s.
Kobolková, Edita ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Štepanovič, Boris (referee)
The market of tobacco products presents a very specific area of fast moving consumer goods. Marketing activities are strictly limited by law and the correct establishment of communication tools is sometimes considerably difficult. In addition to the above, in the case of the tobacco industry, we are talking about almost the same product for every particular cigarette brand. My diploma thesis deals with the role of the premium brand Marlboro in the product porfolio of the company Philip Morris ČR a.s.

3. General conclusions 150 The interest in optical microscopy is constanly growing, mainly because of its unique features in examining biological systems in four dimensions (x-y-z-t)1 . The work presented here was focused on biological applications of optical microscopy by exploring and improving the spatial and temporal resolution performances and by futher developing optical tools for manipulating biological samples. First, I studied the resolution performances of the system in the three dimensional space and I contributed in improving the experimental spatial resolution of microscope by applying deconvolution. In this respect, theoretical modelling can characterize the image formation process of the microscope, but only experimental measurement of the PSF can quantify the limitations of the real system. Indeed, experimental PSF presents shape assymetry due to spherical aberrations introduced by optical elements, while theoretical PSF is symmetric and account only for the resolution limits of an ideal imaging system. The disadvantage of experimental PSF is that could be corrupted by noise, otherwise deconvolution with the theoretical PSF offer only a qualitative improvement of the image, because the introduced artefacts cannot be quantified. Deconvolution of the acquired data with experimental PSF...

Remote sensing can be very useful tool for drought monitoring, providing valuable information about yield-limiting moisture conditions and crop response under current climate conditions. In this study the Atmosphere-land Exchange Inverse (ALEXI) model was used. The ALEXI model uses the morning surface temperature (LST) rise and provides information on the surface moisture status. In this paper correlations between yields and satellite indicators of crop water use or evapotranspiration (ET) were studied for the period 2002-2014. Correlations were studied for winter wheat at district scale in Vysocina, Jihomoravsky and Olomoucky regions since winter wheat is one of the traditional and most important crops grown in these regions. The Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) was used for these correlations as an ET-based index. Time series of Pearson correlation coefficient (r) computed between ESI and winter wheat yields at district scale were analysed. Strongest correlations are associated with districts within the Southern Moravian lowlands in Jihomoravsky and Olomoucky region, where frequency of occurrence of severe drought was highest over the period of record. Severe drought resulted in significant yield impacts, particularly in years 2003 and 2012. Correlations tend to be lower over the highlands districts of Vysocina and surroundings. In these districts, yields are more temperature than moisture limited and were more stable over the period of record.
