Draft of Mobile Application Prototype for Students of Faculty of Management of University of Economics Prague
Pěnčík, Jan ; Novák, Michal (advisor) ; Přibil, Jiří (referee)
This study looks at creating a mobile application prototype of Faculty of Management of University of Economics Prague. The theoretical section discusses the digital product design process, the particularities of the mobile user interface and general cognitive theory. In the practical section, personas and product functional requirements are modelled using user research. The key application structure is designed on the basis of these requirements and cases of use. Finally, an interactive prototype is created and the most important parts of the application are refined using visual design.

Analysis of real convergence of selected new member countries of the Eurozone
Polakovič, Martin ; Vostrovská, Zdenka (advisor) ; Misic, Viktorija (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the problem of real convergence of new member countries of the Eurozone. Development in recent years in Europe has clearly shown that monetary union is suitable only for homogenous group of countries. The main aim of the thesis is to analyze the progress of convergence in Slovakia, Slovenia and Estonia after the year 2000 and answer the question which country was best prepared to join the monetary union. Used method of investigation is analysis of historical time series and regression analysis. Main conclusion of the thesis is that highest level of convergence was achieved in Slovenia, but the country with lowest cost of joining Eurozone was Estonia. In final part of the thesis is presented own forecast of future development of real convergence until the year 2030. Theoretical background of the prognosis is based on Solow's growth model and resulting theory of convergence.

Stock portfolio optimization using multi-criteria methods
Mihál, Jakub ; Borovička, Adam (advisor) ; Čížek, Ondřej (referee)
This bachelor thesis aims to fulfill expectations of fictional investor, in other words choice of optimal stock portfolio based on preset requirements. First part of the bachelor thesis is dedicated to theoretical approach explaining stock markets, decision theory and linear programming. Process of the optimal portfolio selection is based on process consisting of 3 main steps. First steps selects stocks that are effective - worth investing - from investor's point of view. Selection is carried out via multi-criteria decion analysis method ELECTRE I. Second step verifies reliabitily of the output from step one. Third step designes mathematical model and resultant optimization in mathematical comilator LINGO. In conclusion I will focus myself on thorough interpretation and analysis of the results and choice of optimal portfolio.

Šrámková, Jana ; Legnerová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Palíšková, Marcela (referee)
The aim of this Master's thesis is to analyse current state of work motivation and satisfaction of employees in a selected company and then propose measures to improve the situation. First, theoretical part introduces the basic concepts - motivation, selected theories of work motivation, stimulation, motivational programs and job satisfaction. Practical part includes introduction of the company in which the research was conducted and analysis of the research. Chosen methods for the research were questionnaire survey amongst all employees and individual interview with management of the company and selected sample of employees. The Use of Determiners in Art History and Criticism
Čížková, Lucie ; Malá, Markéta (advisor) ; Šaldová, Pavlína (referee)
9. Abstract This thesis deals with the use of determiners in proper names concerning visual art. Proper names are expressions that can comprise one or more words, either a common or a proper noun head with common or proper noun dependents. Although they have an internal structure that can be analysed as a structure of a common noun phrase, the structure of proper names is unchangeable since they function as a single grammatical and semantic unit. The reference of proper names is limited to non-generic situational reference. They refer directly to a particular person or object uniquely recoverable in the situation. Generally, the use of articles with proper names is limited to the definite or the null article (which is distinguished from the zero article). Examples demonstrating the use of determiners with proper names concerning art were excerpted from contemporary British art magazines. The excerpts were divided into seven semantic categories, most of which have not been covered, with respect to the use of articles, by any representative English grammar. The examples were analysed and described and conclusions were drawn. However, the results of this thesis cannot be considered as a set of clear-cut rules but rather an outline of tendencies in the use of articles with several semantically distinguished...

Valuation and accounting of inventory at the acquisition stage and the stage of consumption to output in the wood production team
PUKLICKÁ, Ivana
The entity selects among several ways of valuation to express the value of their inventory. The amount of costs following the method of valuation affects the size of the profit. The work consists of two parts. The theoretical part describes the classification of the inventories and its characteristics, the ways of accounting and the ways of valuation of an inventory. Then the acquaintance with the wood production team follows. The wood production team has given me the information for processing the aim of work, which is to compare the methods of valuation to determine their impact on the profit. There are three different methods of valuation applied to the selected inventory of the team: the method valuation of fixed-price, the method FIFO and the method weighted arithmetic mean variable.

Differences in voting in the Parliament of the Czech Republic: senators and their relation to political parties
Kačena, Lukáš ; Lebeda, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kysela, Jan (referee)
Author's thesis is concerned with differences between voting of parliamentary party groups within both chambers of Czech Parliament, Chamber of Deputies and Senate. It primarily focuses on senators and their relation to their respective parties. Author articulates three main hypothesis which he is trying to verify. Firstly, he anticipates senators to be less bounded to their parties than deputies. Secondly, he suggests that parliamentary party groups in both chambers become more united when it comes to more important voting. Lastly, the author considers the number of seats of parties in government in the Senate has no influence on either stability or legislative initiatives of the government. The theoretical part briefly describes Parliament of the Czech Republic, its composition, the role of the chambers and the legislative process. It also introduces outcomes of research made by Sociological Institute of Academy of Science of the Czech Republic in Parliament aimed at examining the role of deputies and senators from their own perspective. Also, the study "The Importance of Concurrence: The Impact of Bicameralism on Government Formation and Duration" by James N. Druckman and Michael F. Thies is presented. The analytical part extrapolates the main outcomes of analysis made and brings answers related to the...

Quantitative easing - A Policy of Interest Rates Close to Zero
Celer, Martin ; Potužák, Pavel (advisor) ; Slaný, Martin (referee)
This diploma thesis describes the Quantitative easing as an unconvetional tool of the monetary policy. In the first chapter of this thesis there is theoretical analysis of the zero lower bound and also of specific phenomenon that might occur in this situation (the liquidity trap). The second chapter deals with the quantitative easing as a monetary policy with focus on the United States. It summarizes its development during three so called rounds, during which the quantitative easing has been used. This chapter also contains analysis of the entrance and exit strategy of the quantitative easing. In the third chapter, there is an econometric model estimated by ordinary least squares method with robust errors. This model is being used to verify the hypothesis whether the quantitative easing lowered long-term interest rates. The hypothesis has been rejected as the quantitative easing does not have statistically significant effect on any selected long-term bonds.

Sdílení pravděpodobnostní informace bayesovských agentů
Kalenkovich, Evgeny ; Kárný, Miroslav (advisor) ; Lachout, Petr (referee)
A need for combining probability distribution arises in many decision-theoretical problems. In this work we follow articles [14] and [15] in pursuing the supra Bayesian approach [9]. A method for combining nite discrete distributions is introduced, as well as a way to deal with incomplete information and bounded continuous distributions. In the discrete case our approach is along the lines of, but di erent at a few key points from the thesis [20]. The result is a shifted arithmetic mean of pmfs, which is discrepant from the usual arithmetic pooling (see [9] for details).
