Early Medieval Buttons from Bohemia in Cultural and Historical Context

Anglická anotace Presented BA thesis dealing with "Early Medieval buttons from Bohemia within their cultural and historic context" summarises the currently available archaeological material together with the published finds of the slavic buttons from 8th - 9th century in Bohemia. Introductional parts of the work characterize the button functions, materials used and fabrication technology. Major part of the thesis comprises the complete listing of the archaeological sites with the button finds, the description of buttons and the decoration typology. Bohemian finds are set in cultural and historic context as a part of the Great Moravian empire. Important part of the work is formed by the graphic plates of the individual sites and the comparative table including complementary fotodocumentation by the autor. Anaesthesiology Nursing care of the Patient with a Lung Cancer during Bilateral Thoracic Surgery

Cílem bakalářské práce je zpracování případové studie ošetřovatelské péče o nemocnou A.S., 73 let, během operačního výkonu. Pacientka byla přijata na oddělení chirurgické kliniky fakultní nemocnice k plánovanému torakochirurgickému výkonu pro bronchogenní karcinom. V klinické části je věnována pozornost charakteristice onemocnění bronchogenním karcinomem. Zahrnuje základní anatomické pojmy a funkce plic, epidemiologii, etiologii plicní rakoviny, vyšetřovací metody a možnosti léčby bronchogenního karcinomu. Druhý oddíl klinické části je zaměřen na anestézii, její druhy, přípravu pacientky před podáním anestézie, úkoly anesteziologické sestry na operačním sále, přehled léků používaných v anestézii, vybavení anesteziologického pracoviště a popis anesteziologické dokumentace. Třetí oddíl klinické části zahrnuje údaje o nemocné získané z lékařské dokumentace, operační zákrok popsaný z chirurgického a anesteziologického pohledu. V ošetřovatelské části je obecně charakterizován ošetřovatelský proces a "Model fungujícího zdraví" Marjory Gordonové, který byl použit při celkovém zhodnocení pacientky a získaných informací. Cooperation Between Czech NGOs Network and European Networks

This master's thesis provides a qualitative study of the cooperation between the Czech NGOs networks and European networks. The theoretical part defines the concept of networks, their functions, assets and disadvantages, and introduces the relevant empirical research carried out in the Czech Republic. Further, it gives an overview of the European NGOs networks, including the analysis of both advantages of EU policy on this issue, and the disadvantages of transnational networking in a national NGOs perspective as well as in a broader context. The empirical part provides a case study of two Czech networks participating in the European networks focused on analysing the networks cooperation, the form, the assets and the difficulties, and finally places the obtained research data into a broader theoretical context in oder to suggest the recommendations for cooperation improvement.

The ATFL protective function is changed during gait and is influenced by the incorrect foot position as well. Objective: The objective is to describe the influence of ATFL on the ankle stability during gait and standing. The polemic discuss the optimal therapeutic treatment of the lateral ankle ligaments injury and the ankle instability. Methods: Thematic analysis Results: The foot segments position and the position of crus affects the function of ATFL. The ligament function is impaired by incorrect position of foot segments. In consequence the ligament cannot protect the ankle joint and the ankle joint instability and potential injury can occur. Validation of Stroop color and word test on Czech population

Due to the fact that attention is a central issue in cognitive sciences, there is a growing need for robust tools for assessing attentional functioning in individuals from clinical, as well as non-clinical populations: the Stroop Color and Word Test (SCWT) is one of the standard measures. The thesis provides material intended for construction of the Czech version of the SCWT manual. In addition to discussion of theoretical issues of the Stroop eect, the thesis includes review of studies on psychometric characteristics of the test and discusses the in uence of demographic characteristics on the performance in the SCWT. Furthermore, administration and scoring procedures, as well as possibilities of clinical interpretation of the test scores are described. In the second part of the thesis, we present results of research project aimed at collecting Czech normative data for the SCWT. The in uence of sex, age and education on the performance in the test was examined in a non-clinical sample aged 20 to 79 years (N = 420; 166 M, 254 F; M = 46:7 yrs, SD = 16:8 yrs). Hlavni metoda dotazniku pro uCitele byla doplnena 0 dye dopliikove metody, a to strukturovany rozhovor s zaky a pozorovani vYuky.

Late Roman glass lamps

This thesis proposes to describe glass lamps of late roman and early byzantine era and their origin and emergence in these periods. Part of the thesis is a desription of objects related with using of lamps, summary of their function and advantages and disadvantages in comparison with lamps made of other materials. Important section is also catalogue of shapes of lamps and their comparison with the finds from several localities with the largest found groups of glass lamps.

The present situation of public libraries in the Moravian-Silesian region

Tématem práce je současný stav veřejného knihovnictví v Moravskoslezském kraji. Cílem práce je podat přehled současného stavu knihoven v Moravskoslezském kraji, analyzovat a zhodnotit činnosti a funkce vybraných knihoven v kraji a vymezit perspektivu jejich vývoje. Práce se zabývá funkcí veřejných knihoven a jejich přínosem pro kraj. Práce je zaměřena hlavně na činnost knihoven, regionální funkce pověřených knihoven, a jejich interakci s čtenáři. Při sestavování statistik se autorka zaměřila na časové rozpětí mezi lety 1995 - 2005, podrobněji pak na dobu od vydání novéno knihovního zákona až do současnosti, protože toto období přineslo mnoho nového v oblasti knihovnictví. Vlastní jádro práce tvoří rozbor činnosti všech důležitých veřejných knihoven v kraji. Dále pak popis regionálních funkcí jednotlivých pověřených knihoven a uzavírá se činnostmi, které knihovny produkují pro lepší komunikaci se čtenáři. V rámci práce se autorka také zabývala klady a zápory, které veřejné knihovny mají, způsoby jejich řešení a perspektivou těchto knihoven v Moravskoslezském kraji.
