The alterations of MLL (mixed-lineage leukemia) gene and their clinical importance in pediatric patients with acute leukemia
Řezníčková, Leona ; Trka, Jan (advisor) ; Sedláček, Zdeněk (referee)
Presence of the MLL gene rearrangement at 11q23 is an important prognostic feature. Moreover, the rearrangements represent a suitable target for the minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring in some subtypes of childhood acute leukaemias (AL). Currently more than 80 different translocations involving the MLL gene and more than 50 of those are characterised at the molecular leve\. Using multiplex-reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (multiplex RT -PCR) and - in some cases - its combination with DNA analysis of the translocation breakpoint we examined a group of infants «1 year of age) diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL), children with M4 and M5 subtypes of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) and patients with secondary leukaemias. Moreover, we exaITŮned children with B-cell precursor fulfilling at least one of the ťollowing criteria: proB immunophenotype, cytogenetically confirmed MLL rearrangement and/or expression oťNG2 molecule shown by f10w cytometry. MultiplexRT PCR technique enables fast detection of the most frequent fusion partners of the :MLL gene (AF4, AF6, AF9, AFlO, ENL a ELL). We screened almost 80 patients diagnosed and treated in the Czech Republic between 1997 and 2007 and we found an MLL-fusion gene in 51 of them. Vast majority of rearrangements (92%) was detected by the...

Evaluation of a Contribution of JROP to Development of Selected Czech Regions
Kotinská, Radka ; Kokeš, Michal (referee) ; Blažek, Jiří (advisor)
3. Abstract The Czech Republic became a member of the European Union in 2004. As a member state none of whose NUTS II regions (except Prague) reaches the level of 75 % of the European annual per capita Gross Domestic Product, it has the opportunity to receive support from Structural Funds under the terms of Objective 1, whereby the largest volume of finance is being provided. The Joint Regional Development Programme is one of the programmes set up during the first programming period (2004 - 2006) in the Czech Republic. The programme differs from others in its field of activity because it combines infrastructure, human resources, information technology, tourism and small and middle enterprises, whereas each of the rest of the programmes specializes in just one sector. The total funds withdrawn from the European Regional Development Fund and European Social Fund amount to €60,2 million. The main purpose of this study is to explore the level of cohesion between the programme results and the needs and problems of the less developed NUTS III regions in the Czech Republic (Olomoucký, Moravskoslezský, Ústecký and Karlovarský). The second part of the analysis concentrates on the results of the programme at the state level. The aim is to determine how succesful the programme was and whether there are sectors of the...

For the most part, is the thesis focused on agriculture, since the practical part is treated as a guide for ZOD Borovany how to develop the project and other elements required for the application for a grant in the new programming period 2007 - 2013. ZOD Borovany has rich experience in raising funds from EU funds, and always towards the realization of the use of advisory services firm, which deals with the processing of projects.

Introduction to the Experiential Education and Illustration of Experiential Programme
Schulz, Jakub ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Martinek, Michael (referee)
My diploma paper introduce the theme "Experimental education", this specific educational style uses for its work authentic elements. It means that the educator tries to ignite the changes in behaviour of the individual. The aims of this kind of education are social, moral and personality related changes. The educator working with this method shows to all participants different situations and also provides an offer of several applicable solutions. All procedure is based on activities such as games which should serve as a mirror of real processes as a later resource of authentic experience. This experience is supported by feedback method so that it can be used in real life. Experimental education uses further specific methods of work concerning the preparation of the course for clients. First is dramaturgy - this method works especially well with games. Secondly, motivation is presented as a way to initiate all participants of such a course for the experimental work. Thirdly, all participants are protected against injuries and wounds except for the acceptable risk contained by the re - educational task. In the second part of my paper, I introduce the experiential programme "My future" where I try to analyse the preparation itself and the duration of the experiment. However, the main goal is to reach the...

Coaching and typology of personality
Riethof, Norbert ; Riegel, Karel (advisor) ; Rymeš, Milan (referee)
This work describes theoretical background of coaching and it compares coaching with other methods in human resources development areas. The main context is the usage of coaching in corporate organizations. This work also combines coaching methodology with personality type approaches, in this case through the lenses of MB TI. Description of a developmental project implementation for an IT organization in the Czech Republic provides a framework in which coaching is shown as a main component of such a developmental project. It also explores the relationship between theoretically derived developmental needs of individuals and those of empirical origin. In a closing section it provides a view on status of coaching both nowadays and in the future. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Valka camp by Nurnberg (1949-1954)
Arenbergerová, Helena ; Pullmann, Michal (referee) ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of my work is Valka, a camp for refugees and strangers without home, one camp out of many. By combining and confronting various kinds of resources: both written and oral, official and non-official, I strive to draw a more solid picture of the camp's reality. Although the camp existed - bearing the name Valka - between 1946 and 1960, my focus lies in the period between 1949 and 1954 when Valka served as a governrnent-run, Bavarian camp, opened for refugees from Communist Czechoslovakia. In the course of íts history, the camp would internationalize, opening its gates for the post-bellum "homeless", ie. displaced persons. Due to the motives which forged Valka's existence, I launch my work by discussing Czechoslovak refugee situation as well as the shift in the state boarders: I place the refugee problems into a broader context, focusing, however, on the Western, especially American Occupation Zone. At the same tirne, stilI in the First Chapter, I pinpoint the important differences in approaches of the International, and the Local - i.e. German -, authorities. The Second Chapter deals with the history and development of the very space where Valka existed, I focus on the organizational and structural changes between 1949 and 1954. The Third Chapter is based on both archival and secondary resources, as...

Possibilities for Influencing Children in Nursery Schools with the aid of Psycho-motor Activities
Špalková, Markéta ; Dvořáková, Hana (advisor) ; Pokorný, Ladislav (referee)
Aggressive behaviour is possible to mwention in pre-school age. The principal aim was to find out whatt agressive actions are most common and frequent, how they aree dealt in group of children and possibilities to eliminate them by executing studied psychomotor activities. For monitoring has been used following tools: questionnaire for pedagogues, discussions with pedagogues, discussions with children, monitoring, experimenting. By realizing methods above has been reached the following results. The most common aggressive behaviour ferociousnesses are verbal offences, bitting, beating, kicking, poking, quarreling over sympathies in group of children or group position and friendship. One of the factors that influences such phenomenons is large number of children in classroom or impeding of movement and exercise needs of children. Child with frequent agressive behaviour was not so much favoured in group of children in contrast to one with mostly oral offence displays. Possibility to eliminate such agressive behaviour by executing studied psychomotor activities turned out as not capable of proof.
