These points served as the basis for creating a thematic map. The development of this map took place in the software environment MGEO and Microstation V8i. The aim of the work was creation a 1:500 purpose thematic map.
5-Minutes Neighbourhood
Gregorová, Stanislava ; Zadražilová,, Miroslava (referee) ; Menšíková, Naděžda (advisor)
The specified area is located in the city district Brno - Židenice, near the railway station. The theme of the thesis is the architectural study of selected part of the multifunctional intense urban structure, which was solved in the pre-diploma project. Draft uses the building site intensively, provides high plot ratio and density of population, a wide range of functions in a relatively small area is related to the elimination of transportation. By using topography the proposal creates a permeable areas, buildings with relations to the surroundings and with quality public spaces and attractive housing. Pick-up railway cancels barrier and makes a space with landscaping. Readability is achieved by linking the territory from east to west by straight streets and from north to south by passages. The development creates three centers, the commercial center of the north, center of culture in the heart of the area and the center of relaxation and sport in the south. Basic grid of development has a checkerboard plan, which reflects the grid of surrounding structure. The new development varies in its scale, from large scale buildings in the parterre decays into smaller scale. Function division is horrizontal. There are underground parking, a parterre with shops and services, a floor with offices and work study open to the courtyard and housing on the upper floors. Thus formed structure provides enough light in the courtyards and flats. The segmentation is supported by materials, bricks in the parterre contrast with the monotone plaster on the upper floors.
Mountain Žalý on Harrach's estate in the Giant Mountains as a place of memory. Tourism: a new way of noble representation in Bohemia in the 19th century.
Korbel, Tomáš ; Altová, Blanka (advisor) ; Štemberk, Jan (referee)
The intention of this work is to monitor changes significant natural place - the Giant Mountains Heidelberg / Zaly in the 19th century, when the topographical point in the country without national or sacred past, becoming a symbolic place of memory, based on an analysis of available sources to determine which social "entities "the creation of this symbolic" construct "involved. The culmination of this symbolic metamorphosis in the place of memory was the construction of the observation tower atop Czech tourists in the nineties, who within the nationalist "rivalry" between the Czech and German tourist organizations of "dominating the hill" reluctant to use toponomastic arguments interpreting the origin of the Czech name of the mountain, that, however, not based on the real facts, but only on certain notions of local "culture of remembrance". These ideas survived and were kept for centuries in memories as a myth a symbolic level the collective memory of the local ethnic (Czech) population during the 19th century, and spread thanks to a first layer of civil servants-topographers and later mainly due to expansion of tourist clubs. To form Heidelberg / Žalý as a place of memory also contributed to the domain owner - provincial and local patriot - Count Harrach, who supported these efforts financially...
Prague theatre topography
Kreyndel, Ksenia ; Dolenská, Jana (advisor) ; Hasil, Jiří (referee)
Prague's theatre topography The aim of this paper is to present and describe the theatrical life of Prague during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, and how it evolved, grew and changed throughout that time. The following pages describe what the theatre meant to Czech people during the National Revival, from which came the tradition of Czech puppet theatre, and look at the beginnings of professional theatre in Bohemia. This thesis will also detail the important contribution of prominent celebrities in Czech 19th century theatre, including Jan Nepomuk Štěpánek, Václav Kliment Klicpera and Josef Kajetan Tyl. Prague Theatre of the 20th century is described in the third chapter. In each individual chapter, emphasis is placed on periods with artistic and historical significance. The practical part is devoted to a list of theatre stages located in both Prague's Old and New Towns during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. This section outlines three walking tours with a theatrical theme, each representing a different time period and providing a trail marked on a map. Keywords Prague, history, theater, production, play, director, actor, building, guide, topography

Tůmová, Martina ; Semotanová, Eva (advisor) ; Chromý, Pavel (referee)
TŮMOVÁ, M., The town of Opočno in topographic sources of the 18. and 19. centuries, diploma thesis, The Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, 2014, 191 p., 11 app. The topic of the diploma thesis is to capture the town of Opočno and its landscape in selected significant topographic sources of the 18th and 19th century. The main aim is to compare relevance and value of the selected significant sources and to assemble a picture of the town's landscape in the past. An introduction integrates the topic of the diploma into various historic regionality and covers a brief history and description of a state of the town of Opočno. The thesis is divided into several chapters according to the selected sources. We paid particular attention to cadastral documentation of the first Military Survey and to Stable cadaster that includes written and cartographical materials of the town. These sources are comparable because of the diverse time interval and the different purposes of origin. In order to provide thorough understanding of the studied sources and the region, the thesis includes picture elements, supplements and samples of historic and contemporary maps. Keywords: Opočno, topography, 1st Military Survey, Stable cadaster, urban area
Corinthis as seen by Pausanias and contemporary archaeology
Chlup, Tomáš ; Stančo, Ladislav (advisor) ; Ondřejová, Iva (referee)
The bachelor's thesis consists of an analysis of the 5 first chapters of the 2nd book of Pausanias' Periegesis. The facts stated by the author are analyzed and then related to their material equivalents in the area of archaeological research. The paper is divided into 3 parts. A catalogue of facts described by the author in the text represents the first part. The second part is constituted by internal and external critique of the Periegeis. The third part presents individual archaeological researches in the region in which structures, statues or another monuments directly related to Pausanias'work were identified. The appendix also contains, besides the catalogue, several maps indicating graphically the findings.

Title: Forward and Inverse Modeling of Planetary Gravity and Topography Author: Martin Pauer Department/Institute: Department of Geophysics MFF UK Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: Doc. RNDr. Ondřej Čadek, CSc., Department of Geophysics MFF UK Abstract: The aim of this work was to investigate various mechanisms compensating the observed planetary topography - crustal isostasy, elastic support and dynamic support caused by mantle flow. The investigated models were applied to three different planetary problems. Firstly we applied dynamic compensation model to explain today large-scale gravity and topography fields of Venus and investigate its mantle viscosity structure. The results seem to support not only models with constant viscosity structure but also a model with a stiff lithosphere and a gradual increase of viscosity toward a core. In the second paper several crust compensation models were employed to estimate the density of the Martian southern highlands crust. Since the used methods depends differently on crustal density changes, we were able to provide some constraints on the maximum density of the studied region. In the third application, the strength of a possible ocean floor gravity signal of Jupiter's moon Europa was studied. It turned out that if the long wavelength topography reaches height at...
The influence of topography and geology on the functional plant diversity in the Křivoklátsko PLA
Radoměřský, Tomáš ; Chuman, Tomáš (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
Geological evolution resulted in continual changes of the natural environment. These changes are occuring even today and will take place in the future as well. The present form of nature is the result of conflicting effects of endogenous and exogenous processes. The natural environment is increasingly disturbed and transformed by human activities. The final appearance of the landscape has a decisive influence on the distribution of vegetation. In my work I deal with the influence of topography on the distribution of plant functional types. First I summarize in short the paleogeographic evolution of the Křivoklátsko and the near neighborhood from the time of Upper Proterozoic to the present. Further I describe individual physiogeographic factors and theirs influenceon the distribution and diversity of plants. These include geological substrate, topography, soil, climate and disturbance. Shortly after that I characterize the geology, geomorphology, soils, hydrologyand vegetation of the Křivoklátsko PLA. Later I describe ways of expressing the diversity of plantswith accent on the diversity of functional types. My research is based on the analysis of functional diversity of plants and evaluation of the relationship of individual functional vegetation types and the topography. Results of the work...
