Bretton Woods system has never been a main topic of Czech economic literature even though it strongly influenced finance of the most developed countries between 1944 and 1971 (1973). This diploma thesis is an attempt to analyze this important historical phenomena in international finance and the last metal oriented system in the history. The first chapter brings the most important terms and definitions that are necessary for better understanding of this problem. It is followed by chapters analysing international finance development in this area starting with the interwar period, followed by creation of Bretton Woods Monetary System in 1944 and first very successful and hopeful years that finally came to an end with accumulation of more problems that put a strain on the system such as for instance creation of long term dollar deficits by United States. This paper also analyzes the most important problems, finds similarities between Bretton Woods System and European Monetary System and tries to answer a question if this system or any monetary system like that can be successful on a long term basis.

European Integration and East Asian Regionalism: Comparison between EU and ASEAN
Hu, Liyan ; Hnízdo, Bořivoj (advisor) ; Fürst, Rudolf (referee)
Globalization, as usual, accompanies the development of regionalization after the Cold War. The real content of regionalization is composed of regional integration. In other words, to understand the transformation of international communities, and relationship under globalization must refer to the regional integration. At present, the two most famous areas of integration belong to EU and ASEAN, even though the approach of integration differs from each other. However, the prominent cases of EU and ASEAN integration are always related to the discussion or comparison of other areas, which could borrow or follow their models of seemingly successful integration. Furthermore, the backgrounds of integration in EU and ASEAN are diverse, for instance, on history, politics, economy and cultures and on the other hand, the integration theory applied to EU is often different from ASEAN. Thus although drawing the EU experiences for the ASEAN is necessary, East Asian further integration indicates the different regions produce different logics of integration. Zábrodská, Eliška ; Kropáčková, Jana (advisor) ; Hadj - Moussová, Zuzana (referee)
The author of the paper used different methods of pedagogical research (the observation of children, the interview and the analyses) to discover the effectiveness of deferring the start of school attendance for one year, according to the success of individual children in a nursery school, but also with regards to their differences as a group. The research was conducted using a sample of 10 children, all with different reasons for their school attendance being deferred. It was proved, that children who had been deemed necessary by a psychologist found deferment of school attendance useful. The data obtained from this research can be used for individual education programs based on a child's particular problems. The beginning of school attendance is an important part of human life, therefore it is imperative that steps are taken to ensure that is as beneficial to the child as can be.
