Russian picaresque novel
Machátová, Ludmila ; Honzík, Jiří (referee) ; Zadražil, Ladislav (advisor)
One of the types of the novel genre is a picaresque novel which became very fashionable in Europe at the end of the 16th century. This form originated in Spain from where it spread to other European countries. Due to different developement in Russian literature, novel and thus also the picaresque novel appeared later. However, some picaresque features can be found in the "stories from life" from the 17ili century. Novel, which started to be developed in Russia at the beginning of the 19th century and reached its peak already in the middle of this century, is influenced by the traditional Russian genres (stories from life, chozenija, hagiography), a branch of moral-picaresque literature and also by the novel Gil Blas written by the French novelist and playwright Alain-Rene Lesage. The most important work of 'Gil-Blas-like' type is the Russian Gil Blas written by Vasilij Trofimovich Narezny who was inspired by the French novel. Picaresque novel was also reflected in the work of Faddei Venediktovich Bulgarin whose scandalous novel Ivan Vyzighin started a heated debate about trash literature that was joined also by Pushkin. Picaresque features can be also found in Gogol' s texts (Dead Souls, The Government Inspector). However, it would be a mistake to interpret them only from this perspective. Even though...

Typology of Quasi-states
Riegl, Martin ; Hnízdo, Bořivoj (advisor) ; Romancov, Michael (referee)
Subject of my diploma thesis is typology of quasi-states. I primarily clarify and explain the defnition of sovereign states. After that I focus on the definition of quasi-state, which is in its fundamentals a deviation from a sovereign state. I define four basic categories of quasi-states based on analysis of international community during the active presence of UN, which reflect missing attributes of gregariousness at individual quasi-states. These are not meeting the geographical (experiental) charakteristics of gregariousness, partial limitations or full absence of internal sovereignty, partial limitations or full absence of external sovereignty or limitation of both internal and external sovereignty. I section these four categories into further subcategories. These break up the quasi-states according specific characteristics in given subcategories. There is a general description of characteritical trait at each subcategory that belong into the subcategory. Subsequently brief analytical case studies are being produced for each subcategory. Their objective is to clcarify specific traits of each subcategory and substantiate the presumed typology I conclude that in the times of UN we can witness steep growth of sovereign states, which have been very weak already at the time of its establishment. This...

Veretelnyk, Iegor ; Vachková, Marie (advisor) ; Hejhalová, Věra (referee)
The work concerns the study of limited collocational paradigms in modern German. It is based on the corpus cooccurrence analysis and aims at the clearing up of the phenomenon of the so- called monocollocability. After the undertaken analyses and reflections there came a conclusion that corroborated the original point of view, namely, that the so-called monocollocability presents a multiplex phenomenon, where a metaphore of centre and periphery seems to be appropriate. In the analyses there occur semantically neutral word, inherently bound on certain collocated for formal reasons.

The Media Image of Visual Arts in Czech Television
Švarcová, Barbora ; BENDOVÁ, Helena (advisor) ; POSPISZYL, Tomáš (referee)
The thesis consists of a context and textual analysis of Artmix, a TV show dedicated to visual arts, while touching on other relevant programs on Czech TV. The results of these analyses are then brought into theoretical setting primarily using the philosophical and social concept of the Field of Power as defined by Pierre Bourdieu in his book Rules of Art. Principal themes, interspersing throughout the text, are the limits of reflections of visual arts through TV screen and hidden interpretational patterns applied to visual arts through its media image. Furthermore there is an additional issue of traditional notions of an artist existing within our society, weighed down by history, or the quest for the ideal format of a TV show reflecting visual arts.

Adapting the methodology MMSP for development web applications in ASP.NET MVC and its usage on a real project
Velemínský, Filip ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Vít, Jan (referee)
The subject of this thesis was agile development on ASP.NET web development platform. The main goal was to create new methodology MMSP - ASP.NET MVC by adjusting methodology MMSP for development in ASP.NET MVC framework, which was mainly achieved through the definition of new objects in the methodology. Text describes four newly created roles (eg. Database specialist) which are responsible for application development. Text also defines or modifies several tasks (eg. Database design) and work products (eg. Data model). All added objects were integrated into the methodology by adjusting its life cycle. At first, thesis was generally focused on the development of web applications, defined their characteristics and analyzed the possibilities of using agile development. Then the MMSP methodology was presented and verified its suitability for the planned extension. Furthermore, there was described the ASP.NET MVC framework, its architecture and basic characteristics. In the last chapter of this thesis methodology MMSP-ASP.NET MVC was verified on the example of development database management web application for the Anthropological Department of the National Museum in Prague.
