Effect of Trampling on the Vegetation of Dry Grasslands
Vacková, Nikol ; Horčičková, Eva (advisor) ; Husáková, Iveta (referee)
1 It has been proved that the effect of vegetation trampling (Anthropogenic and animal) significantly changed. The aim of this study was to gather available information of these changes and effects of secondary factors, particularly focusing on the dry-grasslands (Festuco-Brometea). Vegetation on trampling disturbed areas is already much lower, it has less vegetation cover and there is more bare soil. On the bare soils increases temperature and greater evaporation of water. Due to changes of climatic conditions of microhabitats the diversity of species is changing. Vegetation is not changed only on the trampling trails, but also in the surrounding area, up to a distance of 2 meters from the trail. Most vulnerable to trampling and most susceptible for changes in vegetation are moist habitats, the most resistant type of vegetation is thermophilic dry-grasslands. The behavior, abundance and intensity of browsing animals have also effect on vegetation changes. Animals during their browsing vegetation disperse seeds and plants spread beyond their natural occurance.

The research was based mainly on 20 town registers of the period and on the extant scripts which enabled me to set up both the communication process and particular agents. Thus we were offered the insight into the townhall, its offices, circumstances of the origin of missivs, we observed individual characters and institutions involved in the negotiation procedures. We came across the issue of messenger service mediating the delivery and last but not least we were concerned about receiving correspondence, its interpretation at the time and the content of discussed matters. Another issue we dealt with was the terminology ie. definition of written communication, diplomacy terminology, especially register issue defined as supplemental office book in publishers'offices containing the office scripts. The written communication of the perion represents just one component of wide range of ties occuring in the corporate society. The most significant role was represented by the city council the...

A view of the society in the novel of Camilo José Cela La familia de Pascual Duarte
Kýnová, Jana ; Sánchez Fernández, Juan Antonio (referee) ; Fousek, Michal (advisor)
For my thesis I investigate the negative social phenomena described in Camilo José Cela's novel, "La familia de Pascual Duarte" [Pascual Duarte's Family] (1942), namely the existentialist feelings of an individual, violence and crime, cynicism and indifference, the submisive role of women in society and machismo. After analyzing the circumstances and motivations of the characters, I present a brief portrayal of peasant life in Southern Spain around the time of the Civil War. My analysis demonstrates that there is a close interrelationship among the social phenomena listed above, since ultimately they derive from the same root factors. My paper examines the unique nature of this rural community, its customs and particularly its moral values. Individual pride and prestige are key virtues, but they rest solely on the opinions of one's neighbors in the community. Under the surface there is only hypocrisy, prejudice and malice. The characters in the novel are biased and superstitious. They blindly accept the reality of miracles and supernatural phenomena, as well as foreboding omens. A harsh and cruel feudalism still overshadows the country, reflecting its inhabitants' primitivism and lack of culture. The community's struggle to provide the basic necessities to all its members precludes the possibility that the...
