Volunteering in the hospice
WEGEROVÁ, Lenka
The bachelor thesis deals with a theme of {\clqq}Volunteering in a hospice``. Currently we much more often meet volunteers and a volunteering. The volunteering is extremely important in the area of the health care, as people meet the volunteers and they can help them to overcome difficult life situations. It is very important even for the people who are seriously ill to feel a sense of their own meaning and they should know that they are needed and somebody cares for them. At people seriously ill or dying it is very important to maintain their quality of life. One way how to achieve it, is a presence of the volunteers in a hospice and their individual approach to each client. Suitably chosen activities, which the volunteer and the client perform together, also ensure that the clients do not feel alone and they feel useful. The main objective of the thesis is to describe the volunteering, volunteers´ activities, their motivation and contents of the volunteer´s activity in the hospice. A partial goal is to map benefits of the volunteering in the hospice in terms of staff and clients. I used a qualitative research, an interrogation method with a technique of a semi-controlled interview. The interviews were conducted with 15 hospice workers and with its 6 clients. This research was performed in the Hospice of St. Jan N. Neumann in Prachatice. I believe that the objectives of the bachelor thesis ``Volunteering in a hospice{\crqq} were met. The research showed that the hospice volunteers are a great asset for the hospice clients and the staff. It also showed that the clients are very happy when the volunteers visit them. The volunteers help them to forget their misery, they reduce their feeling of boredom, the clients feel a sense of their own meaning and that they are still important for someone. The workers of the Hospice of St. Jan N. Neumann in Prachatice see the great benefits of the volunteering. They are very glad that the volunteers visit their clients, because they attend to them and positively influence the client´s mood. Thanks to the volunteers the staff can care, due to the large amount of work, for other clients as well. The bachelor thesis can be used to expand an awareness of the volunteering in hospices. It also can be used as a feedback for the given establishment.

Title: Marketing mix of a new emerging sports facility Objectives: The primary objective of this work is to formulate the draft of an emerging sport facility and build its marketing mix, which represents a set of necessary arrangements for the implementation of marketing strategy aimed at achieving the business plan. Methods: For the development of this work was used qualitative research method in the form of a structured interview with open questions, which was carried out with representatives of the three facilities providing similar services. Based on these interviews, together with the quantitative method of written inquiries, applied to a sample of potential future customers was created the SWOT analysis model for this emerging facility. These methods, along with the method of competition analysis using Porter's five forces model and PEST analysis of external influences, played a key role in shaping the actual marketing mix. Results: Researches in this work confirm that the target group of respondents is really interested in development of a new sport facility. The analysis in this work points to the potential threat that could threaten the implementation of the project. Thanks to these findings, it is possible to be prepared for these possible dangers and threats in time, or to try to prevent...

Analysis of natural organic dyes and pigments by mass spectrometry
Stýblová, Marie ; Hrdličková Kučková, Štěpánka (advisor) ; Čapek Adamec, Martin (referee)
This thesis named "Analysis of natural organic dyes and pigments by mass spectrometry" investigates the identification of selected natural organic dyes and pigments by qualitative Laser Desorption/Ionisation - Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry analysis (LDI-TOF MS). The advantage of LDI-TOF MS method is its quick and reliable identification of low molecular weight material without preparatory chemical or time-consuming modification of samples. This method can be used for the analysis of works of art or for verifying their authenticity thanks to requiring only a little amount of sample. The LDI-TOF MS was tested on 19 organic dyes and pigments (e.g. alizarin, apigenin, baicalein, flavone, xanthone, tannic acid), four exemplarily prepared lakes (alizarin, purpurin, chrysin a quercetin lakes) and lakes mixed with organic binding media. The method was also successfully applied to two samples of blue color that were taken from Josef Čapek's painting called 'Procházka' (The Walk), that was dating back to 1936.

Qualitative analysis of Internet chain letter phenomenon
Kozlová, Dana ; Švelch, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Kubíčková, Vladimíra (referee)
Chain letters and e-mails are a form of secondary orality. This work determines chain letters as a type of media and looks for message spreadability. The work discusses chain letters spreadability in terms of memetic theory. And looks for fairy tales motifs. The typology is made from chain letters collected from public databases and those forwarded via e-mails and social networks. It is made by form, theme and origin resulting in at least 9 forms and 17 functions. In various forms and functions their usual characteristics and differences are demonstrated . The order by origin explains some differences in the translated messages. It looks for specifics in Czech messages such as racist themes. From structured interviews the criteria of how recipients divide their chain letters and how they select their recipients was discovered. The work refutes the hypothesis that chain letters are spread only among homogeneous groups. In addition, it verifies that the circulating e-mails do not spread easily just because of effortless forwarding. According to the interviews, the main motive for forwarding is the supposedly positive reaction from the recipient.

6 Abstract Title: The analysis of the run of sprinter by means of the software Dartfish Objectives: The objective of this thesis is the presentation of use of possibilities of software for the analysis of sport performance in the sprint for 100 m and consequently evaluation of the structure of sport performance in the sprint for 100 m in selected races Methods: The method of the analysis of the video recording by means of the software Dartfish and the method of comparison was used in the thesis. The method of analysis was applied for the recorded sprints for 100 m. The method of comparison was used for the mutual comparison of analysed sprints. The use of this programme was evaluated during acquiring data from the video recording. Results: I found out, that the software programme Dartfish is fully suitable for the analysis of sport performances in the sprints for 100 m. The outstanding positive part is also the fact, that this software product enables both qualitative and quantitative analysis and fully discloses the structure of run. The programme could be also applied in the training process, where it could be used for the improvement of the run technique due to great quantity of quality feedback information which it provides. Keywords: sport performance, athletics, sprint, structure of sport performance,...

Resistance strategies in individualizated, commodified and consum society: Food not Bombs Prague
Stašová, Adéla ; Novák, Arnošt (advisor) ; Slovák, Ľuboš (referee)
The thesis offers an analysis of the Prague Food Not Bombs collective using the optics of the newest social movements as defined by Richard Day. Based both on theory and qualitative research, it enquires whether and how the group resists individualization, commodification, and excessive consumption in society. Using her experience of several years of field work, semi-structured and informal interviews, and her field notes, the author describes the collective in question, maps out its mechanisms and internal organization, illustrates the attitudes and tactics of the activists, and exposes the troubles and hurdles they face. She surveys the activists' attitudes to such concepts of the newest social movements as direct grassroot action, solidarity, decentralization, anti-authoritarianism, consensus, and pre-figurative politics, to see if the activists employ them in their resistance strategy. In more general terms, the author attempts at a (so far missing) insight into the Prague collective as a social resistance group and a chapter of the worldwide Food Not Bombs movement. Key words Food Not Bombs, newest social movements, individualisation, commodification, consumption, protest

Analysis of selected polar compounds in HILIC mode
Brychová, Anna ; Vrbatová, Ivana (referee) ; Kovaříková, Petra (advisor)
Nowadays High Pressure Liquid Chromatography is the most important and the most frequently used separation technique that enables qualitative and quantitative analysis of the complex mixtures. One of its variants is Hydrophilic Interaction Liquid Chromatography. Lately this technique has experienced an increasing boom particularly, due to its ability to improve separation of very polar and hydrophilic compounds. The adeninribonucleotides (ATP, ADP, AMP, cAMP), creatine and phosphoceratine are among these highly polar compounds that are of great importance not only for human body. Number of analytical methods has been developed and published for the analysis of these compounds; however HPLC methods using the reverse phases have been dominated. The basic overview of these methods is a part of this diploma thesis. The experimental part of this thesis is focused on the development of chromatographic conditions suitable for the simultaneous analysis of ATP, ADP, AMP, cAMP, creatine and phosphocreatine in HILIC mode. The best separation was achieved on ZIC®-HILIC (150 x 2,1 mm; 3,5 μm; 200 Å) column using a binary mobile phase and gradient elution. The mobile phase consisted of the A component, (2 mM ammonium formate, pH 6,45) and the B component (90% of acetonitrile, 2 mM ammonioum formate) that were...

Conservation of quantity in preschool and younger school age
Hejlíková, Tereza ; Lukavský, Jiří (referee) ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to try to repeat the well-known experiment of Jean Piaget, which investigates the process of acquiring the notion of conservation of quantity and hence to reproduce his theory by examining present-day population of children. At the same time we have tried to question the theory and the answers were supposed to create kind of alternative theory and add a few new findings to it. At first we have studied relevant parts of Piaget's monography called The Child's Conception of Number (Piaget, 1997) so that we could understand his conclusions. We adopted his own design of experiment which was then slightly modificated in order to provide a space for our own experimental hypothesis. The experiment was carried out with the help of sixteen children in the age of 4 to 7,5 years. We used qualitative analysis to get our own interpretation of obtained data in the same way Piaget did in the past, except that we have also focused on particular childrens' reactions that led us to the answer to our experimental questions. In the last part of the thesis we have confronted our findings with those of Piaget and thus we have demonstrated a possibility of expanding Piaget's theory as well as taking a different point of view of it. As we could not identify (based on our own analysis) with all of Piaget's...
