Through the papers and canvas I tell the story of everyday addiction that surrounds us. I start from my personal feelings and suck the atmosphere of the city and places from the edge of society. This theme is presented in the form of abstract drawings and paintings, in which certain phases and processes are displayed. I capture chaos in new forms so that the image, even within the technologically advanced and in all directions of the expanding visual culture, does not lose the liveliness, sense and critical justification for its further existence. The paintings and drawings are a visit to the world of people who are not the majority of the world and are all in a way lonely and lonely in their own way.
Chaotic motion in the Johannsen-Psaltis spacetime

The Johannsen-Psaltis spacetime is a perturbation of the Kerr spacetime designed to avoid pathologies like naked singularities and closed timelike curves. This spacetime depends not only on the mass and the spin of the compact object, but also on extra parameters, making the spacetime deviate from Kerr. In this work we consider only the lowest order physically meaningful extra parameter. We use numerical examples to show that geodesic motion in this spacetime can exhibit chaotic behavior. We study the corresponding phase space by using Poincaré sections and rotation numbers to show chaotic behavior, and we use Lyapunov exponents to directly estimate the sensitivity to initial conditions for chaotic orbits.
Evolution as a Way to God in the Work of Teilhard de Chardin

This dissertation deals with the notion of centration in the work of Teilhard de Chardin, the notion being examined with regard to two related aims: 1) to illustrate the logical structure of Teilhard's Christian theory of evolution, and 2) to explain the relation between centration carried out by created beings and centration assigned to God as the focal point of evolution. In other words: to explore the connection between fundamental freedom attributed by Teilhard to created beings and culminating in human beings according to him, and God's freedom demonstrating itself in controlling the universe and directing it to a goal being the fullness of being (pleroma). The first part presents Teilhard's life and the contexts of his work. The second part explains the main notions of Teilhard's theory and metaphysics, such as "consciousness", "spirit", "energy", "centro-complexity", and "matter", and relates them to the notion of centration. Centration is presented here as an activity of the consciousness consisting in the unifying formation of multitude by its interconnection with different types of relations around one centre. In this thesis we summarize the basics of the theory of regular and chaotic dynamics and we use numerical examples to show that geodesic motion in this spacetime can exhibit chaotic behavior. We study the corresponding phase space by using Poincaré sections and rotation numbers to show chaotic behavior both directly and indirectly (e.g. Birkhoff chains), and we use Lyapunov exponents to directly estimate the sensitivity to initial conditions for chaotic orbits. 1
Investigation of chaotic dynamical systems using the methods of Riemannian geometry

In this thesis we investigate a chaos in dynamical systems described by the Hamilton function using a new geometric method. At first, necessary definitions and terms are introduced, like dynamical systems, Lyapunov ex- ponents and Poncaré sections. Subsequently we deal with the new geometric method (Horowitz et al., 2007), which predicts the stability of a system un- der consideration. An extensive part is devoted to the general relativity and spinor formalism, the Newman-Penrose formalism and the theory of optical scalars. In the computational part of the thesis, we investigate the pp-waves and chaotic behaviour of geodesics in this class of space-times. Chaos in deformed black-hole fields

The consequences of two key approximations of accretion-disc physics near black holes are studied in this thesis. First, the question of effective ``pseudo-Newtonian" potentials mimicking a black hole is investigated both through numerical simulations and analytical means, and second, the neglect of additional gravitating matter near accreted-upon black holes and its consequences are put to test. After some broader discussion of integrability, resonance and chaos, a general "pseudo-Newtonian" limit for geodesic motion is derived, and applied for the case of null geodesics near a glowing toroid and for time-like geodesics in the Kerr metric. Afterwards, a new Newtonian gravitational potential for non- singular toroids is proposed and its usefulness for the so-called Weyl space-times is discussed. Finally, a new pseudo-Newtonian potential is introduced and applied alongside already known potentials in models of free test particle motion in the field of a black hole with a disc or ring, in complete analogy with previous exact-relativistic studies, and the previous conclusion of chaos in disc/ring-hole models is confirmed. Order, Progress, and Ideal Government in Claudian's Epic De Raptu Proserpinae

IVETA PASTYŘÍKOVÁ: ORDER, PROGRESS, AND IDEAL GOVERNMENT IN CLAUDIAN'S EPIC DE RAPTU PROSERPINAE ABSTRACT The aim of the diploma thesis is to show how late Ancient poet Claudius Claudianus deals with the problem of ideal government in the mythological epic De Raptu Proserpinae, by which strategies he exhorts his reader to evaluate Jupiter's rule in the world of the poem and to compare it with the situation in the real world. The chosen method is the theory of fictional worlds. Firstly, the thesis outlines the relation between the fictional world of the epic and the real world, then, the attention is paid to the essential question of this fictional world, ideal government. The thesis presents the prefaces of the epic as entrances into the fictional world foreshadowing topics elaborated in the world of the poem, where the ruler Jupiter has a difficult task ahead of him: to harmonize progress with protection against chaos. The last chapter summarizes the author's strategies and compares the epic with Claudian's other poems.
Mythic structures and religious motives in the universe of StarCraft computer game series.

The goal of this work is to provide the reader with an interpretation of races, factions and storyline of the Starcraft game series universe from the perspective of religious studies and to set its results into context of modern spiritual beliefs collectively called New Age. First part of the work analyzes narrative elements which are found in races and factions of Starcraft univerze and reaches the conclusion that through them the game operates with religiously relevant classification categories of purity and dirtiness, order and chaos. The second part utilizes these results in an analysis of narrative structures understood as relations and interactions between particular races and factions, and shows that categories of order and chaos/purity and dirtiness are functionally analogous to Victor Turner's categories of structure and anti-structure. Conclusion of this analysis claims that Starcraft thematizes the problem of one's oppozite's prevalence over the other. The third part summarizes conclusions of both previous parts, gives examples of order/chaos relations in historical religions and shows how narrative structures present these beliefs as problematic. Chaotic Motion around Black Holes

As a non-linear theory of space-time, general relativity deals with interesting dynamical systems which can be expected more prone to chaos than their Newtonian counter-parts. In this thesis, we study the dynamics of time- like geodesics in the static and axisymmetric field of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded, in a concentric way, by a massive thin disc or ring. We reveal the rise (and/or decline) of geodesic chaos in dependence on parameters of the sys- tem (the disc/ring mass and position and the test-particle energy and angular momentum), (i) on Poincaré sections, (ii) on time series of position and their power spectra, (iii) by applying two simple yet powerful recurrence methods, and (iv) by computing Lyapunov exponents and two other related quantifiers of or- bital divergence. We mainly focus on "sticky" orbits whose different parts show different degrees of chaoticity and which offer the best possibility to test and compare different methods. We also add a treatment of classical but dissipative system, namely the evolution of a class of mechanical oscillators described by non-standard constitutive relations.

The loss of complete geodesic integrability is one of the important consequences (and thus indicators) of deviation from the Kerr-type space-time. Indeed, it has been confirmed many times in the literature that even a highly symmetric perturbation of the Kerr or Schwarzschild metric can make the free test-particle motion chaotic. In this thesis, we study the test-particle dynamics in the field of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by a thin disc or ring, using, however, Newton's gravity with a simple "pseudo- Newtonian" potential to mimic the black hole. The Poincaré sections show that the (pseudo-)Newtonian system is slightly more chaotic than the general relativistic one.
