Women in Local Politics: The Reflection of Master Suppression Techniques
Adamusová, Marcela ; Havelková, Hana (advisor) ; Uhde, Zuzana (referee)
Women in Local Politics: The Reflection of Master Suppression Techniques The causes of the low political participation of women in the Czech local politics have to be viewed as a complex and interdisciplinary problem. This thesis sums up basic findings about the political participation of women on local level as well as the newest data and examples from the Czech context. Special attention is paid to specific gender barriers faced by local politicians during their public agency. The theory of master suppression techniques by Norwegian social psychologict Berit Ås forms the base of the thesis and is interpreted through Nancy Fraser's and Iris Marion Young's concepts. The theory of master suppression techniques is further examined in the Czech context and confronted with the experience of local female politicians. The particular aim of the thesis is to outline the actual strategies used by local female politicians to cope with gender specific barriers. Keywords: women, local politics, barriers, master suppression techniques, making invisible, ridiculing, withholding information, damned if you do and damned if you don't, heaping blame and putting to shame

Study of senzitizers phototoxicity on molecular level and possibilities their use for photodynamic tumors therapy
ZEMAN, Jan
Photodynamic therapy is a modern and promising method of treating some types of tumors. It can supplement and in some cases even replace the current methods. It is based on the use of a photosensitive substance, a senzitizer, which is located in tumor cells and subsequently exposed to the light of an approporiate wave length, which brings about photodynamic reaction. Photodynamic reaction arises due to the combination of four agents: a senzitizer, molecular oxygen, light of optimum wave length, and a biological substrate (proteins, nucleic acid or other cell components). After the application of the senzitizer, whose prior uptake takes place in the pathologically altered tissues, visible light of a wave length corresponding with the absorption maximum of the photosenzitizer is applied, which brings about tumor cells destruction at active participation of the reactive oxygen forms as superoxide anion, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radicals. My thesis was focused on testing photodynamic properties of ZnTPPS4 senzitizer on tumor cell lines. The production of oxygen reactive forms was tested by Synergy HT spectrofluorimeter and Olympus IX 81 fluorescence microscope with image analysis. Production of reactive oxygen forms was assessed with the use of molecular symbol CM-H2 DCFDA. LED emitters adapted for working with cell cultures were used to irradiate the cell structures. The results proved that ZnTPPS4 is photodynamically effective and the production of reactive forms of oxygen depends on senzitizer ZnTPPS4 concentration as well as on the dose of radiation.

This diploma thesis deals with the education of officials of public administration on the level of territorial self-government. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate a system of education of officials of territorial self-governing units on example of a particular town district authority in Ostrava, to identify problematic spheres and to propose the possibilities of their solution. After introductory determination of the problem in the beginning of the thesis there are theoretical solutions stated and there are contemporary trends of development in education of officials in Europe outlined. Afterwards there is an origin of contemporary system of education of officials of territorial self-governing units in the Czech Republic described in the context of reform of public administration which is followed by the determination of legislative framework, by organisation of education and by overview of participants engaged in this sphere. In empirical part of the thesis there is a research of education of officials at the town district authority in Ostrava implemented and the results of the research including identification of problematic spheres are compared with results of similar researches. There are proposals and recommendations /leading to increase in efficiency of education of officials at...

Analysis of facilities of social services in the Region of Příbram
SLEZÁKOVÁ, Markéta
In choosing the subject of this degree work I was led by the effort to give an exhaustive integral report on the development in the sphere of the social and health care and to analyze the facilities for social sevices in the region of Příbram. As it is not possible to evaluate the facilities for social services without the description of basic historical events, of current demographic indexes and without the indication of the future development, the historical part together with the specification of particular groups threatened with social exclusion (seniors and handicapped people) forms an indispensable chapter of the theoretical part of this degree work. In connection with the fact that the region of Příbram is a specific industrial locality with signs of changes in the original structure of the population, it is possible to state that the people moved herein show less family solidarity and unity with each other. For that reason more facilities for social services are at disposal in this region. It is the unity care service rendered not only in own homes but directly in the houses of the clients as well, that has the oldest tradition among all providers The family nursing care rendered by one of two organizations has already the tradition of more than 15 years too. As to the care of seniors, the most significant provider that is the allowance organization "Pečovatelská služba města Příbram". This organization offers field care service and runs the home for seniors. The service, that supports especially the security of the seniors in their households, that is AREÍON-Život 90 with about 50-60 clients.A great advantage is also the fact that a part of providers of social and associated services have the seat at the same place, in the Community Centre. As to the care of handicapped people the strongest point are the family care CHOPS and SANCO, the field care service and other services rendered by "Pečovatelská služba města Příbram", the activities of unions and organizations associating handicapped people, assistance services and consultancy, community centre Příbram VII, day centre in the town nursery school and in the rehabilitation short stay hospital It is not simple to prognosticate further development as to rendering social services a relatively active social policy on the local level and a large extent of collaboration among particular groups of those, who provide social services, are promising and hopeful for the future. An important role will play the fact whether these organizations will obtain sufficient financial means needed for ensuring the services, they offer, within the sphere of multisorce financing. The demand for services and staffs meeting the requirements fixed by the Act on social services will be of great importance too.

Dance Therapy as Help in Integration of Peoplewith Cerebral Palsy
Šourková, Barbora ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Olšiaková, Jasmína (referee)
Dance therapy is a form of psychotherapy where move is the main mean of change. A man uses its own body for this change because body is physical aspect of personality. This therapy helps to create positive image of myself. It is a new profession which is still in proces of defining itself. Dancing education and art performance in this therapy is not the aim. In this therapy the esthetic aspect of movement is not concidered. The Greek word therapy has the same meaning as Czech word accompany. Therapist is the one who accompanies client on his way to recovery and self-knowledge. The principial moment of dance therapy is connection of body movement and emotional experience. Connection body-mind is easy and harmonical functioning systém. Discruption continuity of this system can point out psychological and physical stress. Relation between emotion and movement charakterize an individual. That speaks about face expression, posture, space largeness, where the body moves etc. If psychotherapy changes psychical attitude, even the physical standard will change. In dance therapy thisprincipal also works but in revers order. Participant of this change of mans behaviour is his body. The fact that physical comunication becomes less important due to speach development is also surfaced. It is obvious that animals are in...

Comparison of Final Consumer s Contributions of The Purchase Network Marketing and Consumer Cooperative
LAVIČKA, Martin
Issue of my Master{\crq}s work inclusive of questions consumers{\crq} cooperative and network marketing. This is very interesting and actual section, because both of these levels have been hiding large potential. They can bring out compelling alternative solution in contact with final consumer. The Work is focused on general analysis of the setting of network marketing and the setting of consumers{\crq} cooperative in the Czech republic. This analysis is completed with comparison of two concrete subjects and assets for final consumers. One of the components is also question form. This question form is based on questioning of two hundreds respondents. Main aims were to find out consumers view of network marketing and consumers{\crq} cooperative, how consumers trust these systems and how often they use it for shopping. Conclusion what I got from research is that consumers{\crq} cooperative is more popular, than network marketing. Due to wrong name of network marketing. That is also why the final consumer use consumers{\crq} cooperative more often for shopping, than network marketing. Main potential of consumers{\crq} cooperative and network marketing is based on the fact, that they can get final consumers to integrate chain. In that case, the consumer is supposed to participate in the co-creation of products and services.

Working memory in simultaneous interpreting and its capacity
Gabzdilová, Marianna ; Rejšková, Jana (referee) ; Čeňková, Ivana (advisor)
The experimental working memory research in simultaneous interpreting has so far been very limited. There were small number of studies of cognitive processes in simultaneous interpreting. This thesis gives a brief overview of the recent experimental studies in this field and presents the subject of working memory. First part of this thesis shows the largely known theoretical models of working memory, information about its possible developement and its relation towards language. On the basis of the recent theoretical research, we formulated a hypothesis for the empirical part of this thesis. The hypothesis assumes that with interpreting practice there is a developement of working memory capacity and that the language factor becomes less important. In the empirical part of the thesis we described the experiment that had been done to confirm the hypothesis. The experiment consisted of standard listening span task adapted to two language variants, in Czech and in French. Thirty participants took part in this experimental study - 10 professional interpreters, 10 interpreting students and 10 non-interpreters (people without interpreting training and professional interpreting experience). All of the participants had approximately the same language skills in Czech and in French. Czech was the mother tongue of all...

Possibilities of Participative Evaluation.
Vondráková, Renata ; Rynda, Ivan (advisor) ; Bergerová, Marcela (referee)
This work is based on a research thesis that says, in the case of long or mid-term processes that deal with a wide land area or large amount of people, non-participatory evaluations can have even a negative influence on watched process or its impacts, because it doesn't cover them all. The Methodology being used is mainly an exploration of facts in foreign literature, which is being added with the authors own experiences. This work introduces Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) as an unfamiliar concept in Czech Republic. It aims to describe the evaluation as an integral part of projects or programs. This work details several concerning obstacles while using participatory evaluation while also offering descriptions on how to use this approach in practice, including offering an overview of methods and techniques most currently used. Based on interviews with 16 experts it suggests also a possible way of using this concept in Czech Republic with the example of Local Action Groups in LEADER.

Labour Immigration of Turks to Germany and the Developement of German Immigration and Integration Policy
Dumont, Anna ; Kučera, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Filipová, Lucie (referee)
My Bachelor's thesis, "Labour Immigration of Turks to Germany and the Development of German Immigration and Integration Policy" deals with Turkish guest workers' arrival and subsequent settlement in Germany and the conditions they have been living in. The first part of my thesis is devoted to the evolution of Turkish labour immigration and a discussion of its influence on and co-evolution with German immigration and integration policy. The second part is addressed to the acceptance shown by the majority of Germany society of contemporary Turkish immigrants' integration and uses as examples the development of two important public or human rights. The first of these rights is freedom of religion, which contains both freedom of religion at school, and the right to build mosques in German cities. The second is the right to political participation for Turkish residents who are either German citizens or who have permanent residency, but not citizenship. The thesis tries to answer the questions of how successful integration has been and whether or not Germany has found the right balance between democratic values and the cultural diversity brought by having a large Muslim minority. The thesis as well touches on the biggest problems of the second and third generations of Turkish immigrants which are a lack of...
