The aim of this work is to find out how CLIL is actually realized at primary schools and discover the possibilities and the limits of this method. The theoretical part of this work is based on the literature and it summarizes the main characteristic of Content and Language Integrated Learning. The practical part of this diploma thesis is an outcome of qualitative research. As the methods of research I used interviews with teachers, observations, a realization and a following reflection of a lesson which was planned and based on the principles of CLIL. The result of this work is the analysis of the CLIL lessons in primary education and the analysis of the possibilities and the limits of this method. The use of xCELLigence in the study of irinotecan effects on the colorectal carcinoma cells in vitro
Vatahová, Lenka ; Szotáková, Barbora (advisor) ; Hašková, Pavlína (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Bc. Lenka Vatahová Supervisor: RNDr. Věra Králová, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: The use of xCELLigence in the study of effects of irinotecan in colorectal cancer cells Irinotecan is one of the cytostatic drugs, administered either alone or in combination with 5- fluorouracil (5-FU). Its mechanism of action lies in blocking topoisomerase I resulting in a single-threaded irreparable disruption, which is lethal for the cell. In our study, we examined the use of xCELLigence in the study of effects of irinotecan in colorectal cancer cells. xCELigence, which allows tracking of cells in real time was compared with 2 other methods for determination cell viability, specifically with the WST-1 assay and the Brilliant Blue (BB) assay. Experiments were performed on three cell lines derived from colorectal carcinoma- SW 620, SW 480, and HT 29. The cells were treated with irinotecan in concentration ranges from 5 to 100 µg/ml for 24, 48 and 72 hours. We compared the sensitivity of individual methods and found, that the values differed according to the cell lines. In all cells we calculated the IC 50 value at the time of 72 hours of treatment with irinotecan. And while we have shown that the...

Influence of Air Entrainment and Curing on Development of Elastic Modulus of Concrete
Bartulíková, Radka ; Kucharczyková, Barbara (referee) ; Kocáb, Dalibor (advisor)
Master's thesis deals with influence of various factors on the concrete compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. This work concentrates mainly on the influence of early curing and air entrainment of concrete. One part of this work is the evaluation of laboratory measurement, which was carried out on cubes of standard and norm prisms. The development of elastic moduli was monitored in time to 730 days of age with respect to air entrainment and curing conditions. The second part of the experiment deals with a comparison of theoretical creep curves depending on the value of the modulus of elasticity based on different standards. Again, the air entrainment effect and influence of initial conditions are reflected.

Speech Instruction and the Prevention of Break-downs in Communication Abilities in a Nursery School
Kramosilová, Zuzana ; Šumníková, Pavlína (referee) ; Květoňová, Lea (advisor)
The Graduation paper is directed at the validation of touch capabilities of visually impaired children of the age 13-17 years, through application of STIP test. STIP, developed in United Kingdom, is transformed into doted Braill code and verifies the speed of reading the numbers. Accuracy vs. error rate in the lines, speed of reading and concentration (attention) will be assessed. On the basis of the test evaluation aligned with relevant manual, the performance of children is compared with the UK children in the same age category. Following the comparison, the overall evaluation of this research is performed.

Explant culture of Trifolium pratense L.
Dudová, Adriana ; Kašparová, Marie (advisor) ; Siatka, Tomáš (referee)
Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmacognosy Candidate: Adriana Dudová Supervisor: PharmDr. Marie Kašparová, PhD. Title of Doctoral Thesis: Explant Culture of Trifolium pratense L. The objective of this thesis was to observe the effect of the abiotic elicitors of aluminium chloride and chromium chloride on the production of flavonoids, as well as the effect of the aluminium chloride elicitor on the production of isoflavonoids in the Trifolium pratense L. exulant culture (variety DO-9). The cultures were cultivated in the Gamborg nutrient media with the addition of 2 mg.l¯¹ of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and 2 mg.l¯¹ of 6-benzylaminopurine, at the temperature of 25 řC, 16-hr light/8-hr dark period. The quantity of flavonoids was determined spectrophotometrically according to the Czech Pharmacopoeia 2009. The quantity of isoflavonoids was determined using HPLC. The results of the elicitation of the Trifolium pratense L. suspension culture with aluminium chloride and chromium chloride show that the maximum increase in the flavonoid production compared to the control culture was evoked by the application of a 100 µmol concentration over a 168-hr period in both cases. During elicitatiton of the Trifolium pratense L. exulant culture (variety DO-9)...
