Acute Injury of Flexor Appliance From Second to Fifth Fingers of Hand
Znášiková, Pavla ; Dylevský, Ivan (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Thesis title: Acute injury offlexor appliance from second to fifth fingers ofband Diagnosing the problem: Hand injuries represent 1/3 and 112 ofall work injuries. Most ofthe injuries are to the tendon in the palms and from the muscles flexor digitorum profundus and flexor digitorum superficialis. Anatomically the hand is quite complicated. In this small area there are many structures such as bones, tendons, muscles, veins and nerves. Their compatibility makes the band function. Bach trauma can have a very serious effect. Aims/Goals: The human band is one ofthe most complicated parts ofthe body and is also one ofthe most important. Quality oflife is seriously affected by its malfunction. After a tendon injury, surgery and good aftercare are necessary for the hand to function correctly. The aim ofthis thesis is to present a comprehensive view ofhand injuries and the different opportunities ofaftercare rehabilitation in the zones 1 and 2. Also to evaluate the effectiveness ofthe rehabilitation protocols on patients 1, 2 and 3. Analysis/solutions: My conclusions were drawn from a step by step critical analysis of the treatment schedules from injury through to rehabilitation ofpatients 1, 2 and 3, as well as a modified version ofTAM (total active motion). Some ofthe information within this thesis was...

Study of antileptic drug dispensation in pharmacy with enlarged sphere of activity in years 2005 - 2006
Sedláček, Vladimír ; Vopršalová, Marie (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
This thesis aims to compare consumption of particular antiepileptics (N03A) in two following years 2005 and 2006 in pharmacy with extended sphere of action to confirm the presumption of continuing increase of new antiepileptics consumption. Using the pharmacy system Paenium the consumption of particular antiepileptics was recorded as a number of drugs actually demanded by patients based on medical prescription. ATC/DDD system valid in year 2006 has been used to express the consumption. Consumption of particular antiepileptics groups was expressed as a sum of expended DDD of all active substances from each particular group of antiepileptics in years 2005 and 2006. Percentage share of particular antiepileptics groups has been calculated from the total consumption in both years. Consumptions of particular antiepileptics groups in years 2005 and 2006 have been compared. Furthermore, consumption of particular active antiepileptic substances was calculated for the years 2005 and 2006 as a sum of DDD of all medicinal product packages with content of each individual active antiepileptic substance. Since a new anti-epileptic drug pregabalin entered the Czech market in 2005, significant increase of it's consumption in first months was assumed. It was interesting to observe the influence of the new marketed drug on...

Stanovení obsahu residuí kofeinu v povrchových vodách metodou HPLC s UV detekcí
Glosová, Ivana ; Solich, Petr (advisor) ; Chocholoušová Havlíková, Lucie (referee)
The occurence of caffeine residues was investigated in superrficial waters. The aim of this study was to obtain a first overview about contamination of waters from Mondego River and from source fontains near Coimbra city ( Portugal) with caffeine. The samples were preconcentrated by SPE ( Solid Phase Extraction) with Oasis polymeric column procedure and analysed by Liquid Chromatography (LC) with UV detektor ( 280nm). Mobile phase consist of 190 ml acetic acid glacial 100% and 810 ml of LC water (adjusted to pH 3.0 with acetate sodium) A total of twelve samples were collected in different site of Mondego River and from fountains near Coimbra city during three month's periods. A total of twelve samples of caffeine were analysed under the conditions described and none of them showed to be contaminated with caffeine.

The importance of the system of EIA for the needs of spatial planning.
Březinová, Lucie ; Macháček, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Khorel, Tomáš (referee)
The diploma thesis consists of three parts. In the first part the problematics of the EIA process is explained and basic data and statitistics for the years 2003 to 2007 is mentioned with respect to the legislative changes in 2006 and 2007.

Beata Rusnoková Spirulina platensis effects on endothelial expression of in mice Diploma thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Pharmacy Background: We observed the endothelial expression of eNOS in aorta of ApoE- deficient mice after 8 weeks long administration of Spirulina platensis. The expression was assessed by using immunohistochemical methods and quantified by means of stereological methods. Methods: In the experiment, we used C57BL/6J male mice with deficiency of apolipoprotein E (apoE-/-) that were divided into two groups. The control group was fed by atherogenic diet with 1 % cholesterol for 8 weeks. Mice from Spirulina platensis group was fed by the same atherogenic diet with the addition of 40 mg Spirulina platensis. We performed a biochemical analysis of blood. The immunohistochemical analysis was performed in a 1 cm aortic sinus and the aortic arch. A series of cross sections with a thickness of 7 µm were to evaluate. The detection of expression of eNOS was performed by Envision methods by means of DAB. Results: The biochemical analysis did not show significant changes in total cholesterol levels in the control mice compared with the group administrated by Spirulina. The marked expression was observed in all mice in the experiment. There were no...

Efficiency in the use of photovoltaic cells for energy production
Maršíková, Michaela ; Dvořák, Antonín (advisor) ; Hadrabová, Alena (referee)
Master's Thesis considers the idea of use of renewable energy sources for the generation of electricity. On the basis of reports on climate warming, the European Union took measures, which are mandatory for all Member States and aimed to increase the share of renewable energy in total energy production by 2010. Czech Republic has committed itself to produce 8% of energy from renewable energy sources, the government has created a system of subsidies to renewable energy sources and a system of redemption prices. These measures make energy very expensive. This work deals with the origin of these measures, which are reports on global warming. My work is also comparing predictions on the future status, as well as examining the advantages of investing in renewable energy sources and comparing the prices of subsidized energy with other types of energy.
