Comparison of the roles of minorities in the process of transition and democratic consolidation in Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia

The subject of this diploma thesis is a comparison of the roles of minorities during the transition process and democratic consolidation in Bulgaria, Romania and Slovakia. The study analyses the influence and participation of the minorities in the democratic transition and their engagement in the new democratic system. We also focus on the question whether the new established systems made the position of the minorities more complicated. In the first chapter, we describe the problems of transitology and analyse approaches to the consolidation by S. P. Huntington, J. J. Linz and A. Stepan and W. Merkel. In the next part, we focus on Bulgaria. We describe the situation of minorities before 1989, the transition process in the country and the resulting engagement of the minorities in legislative and executive institutions. The third chapter deals with Romania and also examines the situation of minorities, the transition process and the influence of the minorities or their participation in democratic system. The fourth section focuses on Slovakia. We analyse the situation of minoritites before democratic changes and describe the transition and the integration of the minorities and their attitudes in the new regime. Changes in Supervision of Financial Market

The bachelor thesis deals with the institutional organisation of the financial supervision of the European financial market. The thesis is focused on the European Commission's proposals of the year 2009 for strengthening supervision by establishment of new all-European supervisory authorities. The point of this thesis is not only to describe structure and functions of new supervisory institutions, but also to express the Czech National Bank's attitude to the proposed architecture and to comment on disputed points. The final part of the thesis briefly describes the actual set-up of approval process for the proposals.

Possibilities of smoking ban at public places and problems connected with

The bachelor thesis engages problem with smoking ban in private places and shows relationship between state regulation and inviolability of private ownership. The thesis shows some possibilities of smoking ban. It tries to show consequence of smoking ban on economical situation of restaurants, pubs and similar businesses. It compares revenues, profits or attendance of these businesses before and after smoking ban and tries to prove, how was influence of smoking ban on these businesses in countries which already established the smoking ban. The thesis also includes pieces of opinion of restaurants or pubs owners. The thesis contains also questionnaire among public, which represents their attitude on current situation and future possibilities about this problem.

Antirisorgimento in the works of F. De Roberto, L. Pirandello and G. Tomasi di Lampedusca

This thesis looks at the ltalian antirisorgimento by way of examining three important Sicilian novels: Viceroy (1 viceré) by Federico De Roberto from 1894, The otd and the Young (1 vecchi e i giovani) by Luigi Pirandello published in 1913 and The Leopard (ll gattopardo) by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa from 1958. In the initial chapter, historical and political development of risorgimental and postrisorgimental Italy is outlined, from the 1848 revolutions until the end of the 19th century. The situation in the southem part of the country is emphasized in particular, as the change of regime in 1861 and the unification ofItaly did not bring many positive aspects there. Next chapter discusses the relation of our three authors to the period in which they were composing. We were interested in the ways the epoch influenced them and how their personal experience was reflected in the analyzed texts. Further works by the writers, if relevant to the antirisorgimento, are mentioned too. ANNOTATION: Diploma thesis focuses on the issue of substitution programs serving his sentence of imprisonment provided to drug users. Seeks to bring the situation of drug users in Imprisonment. The main aim of the thesis is to characterize the substitution programs in terms of general information, in terms of their development and law, particularly in terms of providers and users themselves. Seeks to obtain information from providers of substitution treatment in prison and trying to benefit from data that would be representative of the quality of treatment. Accomplishing its goals, the thesis attempts to contribute to the problem of substitution programs, the target group of drug users in the exercise of custodial sentences. Aim: On the base of the analysis of scored goals in UEFA Champions league 2008/2009, specify certain defence scenarios. These defence scenarios will be detailed described and analysed. The reached knowledge will be applied into training process. Methods: Project research was executed by the indirect observation method: watching football videos. The qualitative and quantitative analyses were used. The study is composed by all scored goals in UEFA Champions league during the 2008/2009 season, when the European Football Federation UEFA DVDs materials were used. Results: As the result several certain defence scenarios, occurred in UEFA Champions league 2008/2009, were specified. On the base of the survey of all scored goals, the defence demanding situations were analysed. This baccalaureate work name {\clqq}Exploring life of the employees in the non stop gambling clubs and bars in České Budějovice{\clqq} brings specify point of view on the issue gambling, as one of the most stread non drug adictive activity in our population. It´s not dealing primary with gamblers, but with gambling clubs staff concernig their working conditions. Task of this work is to chart the situation in non stop clubs in České Budějovice concerning employees opinions and postures, their work motivation, relations to the gamblers and gambling machines. Furthermore how is reflecting their working environment (night work, spread passive and active smoking, abuse of the alcohol, dangerous groups of the clients etc.) in the family and interpersonal relations and if does exist significiant concordance rate in common life situations personal characteristics of employees.

Princip předběžné opatrnosti v evropském právu životního prostředí ix The Precautionary Principle in European Environmental Law SUMMARY The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the role of precautionary principle in EC environmental law. The reason for my research is the fact of increasing introduction of this principle into the EC legislation. Its repercussions in other areas of EC law especially in EC public health law should not be neglected neither. However the thesis describes reasons and conditions for applying the precautionary principle, it also justifies limits of its application to prevent the misuse or even abusive use of the principle. The thesis is composed of two basic parts, the first seems to be more theoretic and descriptive compared to the second one which presents the analysis of the application of the precautionary principle in practice with all its consequences. Part One is composed of two chapters, first of them describing the rise of the precautionary principle in international public law, his introduction and effects in EC environmental law.
