Svobodová, Anežka ; Jirků, Jan (advisor) ; Osvaldová, Barbora (referee)
The era of media convergence brings new challenges for traditional media. Print magazines don't want to lose their readers, who are moving towards on-line media. The readership of print media is decreasing. Through internet, people gained access to information and therefore they push media to publish news as soon as possible. This thesis is focused on analysing new Czech magazine Reportér, that was launched in year 2014. The magazine presents slow-journalism trend and offers timeless reading. It's the first magazine with this concept on Czech market. Every month it brings readers reportages from business, culture or society. Reportér magazine has also an on-line version. It includes all issues of the magazine that have ever been published, as well, as special stories that are only on-line. For this thesis, a research have been provided. Its goal was to find out whether are people interested in subscribing for digital archive of some print media and what is their attitude towards new media. The research have shown that people mostly use on-line news websites as sources. They are not interested in purchasing digital form of print media.

Diferences in body image in eating disorders and obesity
PULCOVÁ, Klára
ABSTRACT Eating disorders (mental anorexia and bulimia) and obesity entail grave health, social and economic problems, and lead to detrimental health consequences, often irreversible consequences. Currently the disorders affect about 6% of population, with young girls particularly vulnerable and 16% of women obese. As the relevant surveys reveal, these figures are constantly on the rise. Apart from producing somatic symptoms, both the disorders, anorexia and bulimia, have been observed to bring about typical negative emotions and maladaptive cognition, first and foremost a distorted (negative) self-image focused on inappropriate perception of own body also known as the body image. The paper aims to find out and mutually compare features characteristic of the body image issues as they relate to the eating disorders and obesity / excessive weight. The paper is based on a survey combining qualitative and quantitative research strategies. To collect data, both strategies employed the technique of inquiry - the qualitative part relied on the theory of semi-structured interviews while the quantitative part used a questionnaire. The data thus acquired were processed by quantitative and qualitative procedures. Building on the previous Bachelor paper intended to map the issues of body image in persons with eating disorders, this paper expands the previous survey set of women suffering the condition and adds a new set of obese females. Results of the qualitative part of the survey brought about hypotheses on how the mentioned disorders affected the body image. The quantitative part of the survey revealed similar characteristics in the perceived body image in both the sets, but disclosed also some differences. Significant differences were found when the body image of the diseased persons was compared with that encountered in healthy population. This paper can boost the awareness of this subject in lay public but also in professional community, primarily where psychotherapy and prevention are regarded.

This thesis introduces a theoretical framework of this topic including definitions for control of public administration, ombudsman, classification of ombudsmen and historical evolution of this institution in selected countries. Based on the analysis of legislation in Sweden, Finland and Denmark, the general model of the ombudsman institution in Northern Europe is created. The comparison between this general model and the Public Defender of Rights Institution brings recommendations for Czech modifications. These recommendations include anchoring ombudsman institution in the Constitution of the Czech Republic, specifying education requirements of the ombudsman in the Public Defender of Rights Act, or increasing the number of ombudsmen, thereby dividing responsibility among several people specialized in certain areas.

The aim is to prove that the results comply with the OECD statistics saying that the tax burden difference between those two states is approximately the same. The fractional aim is to examine if the tax burden for the same family with the above-average employment income in the United States is much higher that it can be one of the motives why people enter or leave different labour markets. The second case study focuses on the differences in the taxation of the different tax return categories of the taxpayers and confirms the theory that the average benefit of 450 USD per year appears with taxpayers filing the married filing jointly tax return. The thesis also describes the international taxation basics with the Double tax treaty and the concepts of tax residence and taxation principles such as tax equity and efficiency.
