The main aim of this work is to analyze the prospects on reunification of the Korean Peninsula by analyzing the various factors that have affected and in the future could affect the development of inter-Korean relations, the possible character of unification and subsequent policy implications of the reunification to North East Asia, with focus on the problematic North Korean regime.

Foreign direct investment impact on selected macroeconomic indicators of the economy of the Czech Republic from 1993 to 2013
Švec, Petr ; Czesaný, Slavoj (advisor) ; Zamrazilová, Eva (referee)
Subject of this diploma thesis is to provide an overview of economic theories on why companies tend to invest at foreign markets directly and thus to determine the foreign direct investment (FDI) itself. Covered areas include a foreign direct investment typology, motivation to invest, localisation factors, attractiveness and measurement of a host country business environment. Various types of FDI, methodology and forms of FDI statistical coverage analysis is included in the thesis. Three frameworks influencing all the segments of the FDI are covered in depth. These include the foreign policy factors, domestic policy factors and a process of economic transformation in the Czech Republic. Corresponding analytics map a development between a FDI and selected macroeconomic indicators of the Czech Republic. The analysis shows that foreign investment has a certain influence over selected macroeconomic indicators, however it is not always possible to quantify it as well as to predict its trend. On the other side it is often difficult to prove an influence of macroeconomic development on intensity of the FDI inflow to the Czech Republic. Keywords: foreign investment, determinants of the foreign direct investment inflow, foreign direct investment macroeconomic indicators

Special economic zones: Cure for the development of backward regions or a myth? Comparison of China, Nigeria and Zambia during 2001-2014
Beneš, Jiří ; Procházka, Pavel (advisor) ; Zeman, Martin (referee)
Over the last fifty years Special economic zones have become widely used tool of economic policy. This bachelor thesis deals with analysis of Special economic zones in China, Zambia and Nigeria and studies the impact of the zones on the economic development of the countries. First, I define the theoretical background of the zones and their brief history. In the following chapter the thesis focuses on zone development in individual states and their specifications. Then the thesis focuses on a comparison of the inflows of foreign direct investment and indices of business environment between the countries. Final chapter evaluates the success of the SEZ policy on the countries development. The conclusion of this work has been to answer the hypothesis: Are the special economic zones universal instrument for development of backward regions? The answer is they are not and therefore I reject the hypothesis.

Consequences of recrictive policy in the time of crisis (on the example of contraproductive government of Petr Nečas)
Kos, Tomáš ; Babin, Jan (advisor) ; Rod, Aleš (referee)
This bachelor thesis: Consequences of recrictive policy in the time of crisis (on the example of contraproductive government of Petr Nečas) tries to examine the fiscal policy applicated in the Czech republic in years between 2010 and 2013, at the time of the economic crisis. This thesis is motivated by reserch question: What impact had the fiscal policy applicated by the government on the economy of the Czech republic? I created econometric models by using data of Český statistický úřad and Česká národní banka. Regarding these econometric models, the fiscal policy had negative impact on GDP, that had downward sloping trend. The negative impact was confirmed even on the unemployment, that had been rising, and also on the inflation, which was forced under the inflation target of Česká národní banka by the fiscal policy.

Evolution of chinese work migration to the United states of America and the impact of US - China Realations
Vintnerová, Klára ; Vlčková, Jana (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee)
The thesis deals with chinese work migration to the United states and it´s new trends. Historically, many chinese workers decided to leave their native country to improve their life and work conditions in the United States. The trend is now changing into reverse migration. Many of those who study or work in the United states, return back home to build a carrier. Thanks to economical development China can provide the talented and educated workers with better life conditions and higher salery.

Model vznášející se buňky napodobuje realisticky odezvu síla-deformace během protahování a stlačování buňky a obě odezvy ilustrují nelineární nárůst tuhosti s růstem mechanického zatížení.

Tourist destination attractiveness in the Czech Republic
Havránková, Eva ; Havlíková, Michaela (advisor) ; Lucie, Lucie (referee)
This master thesis deals with the perception of tourist destination attractiveness and its measuring by means of two research methods - Q-methodology and Likert scale. The use of these methods and the results which they provide are compared at the end of this thesis. In the theoretical part, which is based on the study of scientific literature, the term tourist destination and its potential for tourism development are defined. This part is also focused on the types of tourist destinations and explains the term tourist destination attractiveness. The following section is aimed at characterization of research methods Likert scale and Q-methodology. These methods are applied in the empirical research for data collection. The practical part is composed of the analysis of the data captured by the questionnaires and the comparison of the results based on own research focused on the tourist destination attractiveness. The result of this master thesis can be used by the destination management organizations and tourist centres in destinations.

Deflace - skutečný problém k řešení nebo nevyhnutelný důsledek globalizace?
Mudra, Martin ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Villaverde, José (referee)
The aim of this paper is to examine the striking inverse co-movement of decreasing inflation rates and increasing degree of globalization in developed economies during the current wave of globalization beginning in the 1980s. Our analysis stands on theoretical identification of channels through which globalization affects inflation in developed economies and the role of monetary policy in the process. Econometric estimation of the impact of advancing globalization on the rate of inflation carried out on a sample of high-income OECD countries over the years 1980 - 2013 supports our hypothesis that advancing globalization has a significant negative impact on the rate of inflation in advanced economies.
