Transatlantic relations in the context of the Framework Agreement

This bachelor thesis covers the trade relations between the United States and European Union. It makes readers familiar with the Euro-Atlantic trade and with the volume of trade flows between the U.S. and the EU in various sectors. It describes the trade between the EU and the U.S. according to the multilateral agreements in the WTO as well as to the single bilateral agreements. It outlines the barriers to trade in selected examples of trade disputes and determines the tariff and non-tariff barriers in transatlantic relations. The last Framework Agreement between the U.S. and EU is described more in details and focuses on the progress which was made under the Framework.
The position of the U.S. dollar and the euro in the global economy

The work focuses on the comparison of the position of the U.S. dollar and the euro on international currency markets. The first chapter is devoted to general information needed to examine the status of currencies on international monetary markets. The following two sections present a short history of the U.S. dollar and the euro. The fourth chapter analyzes the euro and dollar against the criteria outlined in the first chapter. The last section outlines possible scenarios for the international currency markets.
Normalization of relations between the People´s Republic of China and the United States of America.

Presented bachelor thesis is dealing with the normalization of relations between the People's Republic of China and the United States of America in 1970s, with its causes and results. The normalization enabled rapprochement of both countries, as well as development of mutual cooperation. The text intends to explore history and progression of those relations globally. It focuses on revealing reasons of their long-lasting development and on incentives, that led both countries to diplomatic recognition. Balance of powers in this very important interstate relation is changing, therefore it is necessary to look on its basis. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first one concentrates on history of Sino-American relations, the second one concerns international and internal predispositions of the normalization. The normalization itself is analyzed in third chapter, its influence and consequences are presented in the end of the thesis.
Lobbying in U.S. from 1990 - Case Study Causes Abramoff

The object of this work is lobbying, especially lobbying in the United States and changes in law made by the Abramoff affair. The first chapter is devoted to the history and definition of lobbying. It also addresses the question; why lobbying is not corruption. It also offers the calculation of basic lobbying techniques. The second chapter discusses the development of individual lobbying changes in the U.S., particularly focusing on the latest regulation of lobbying. The last part introduces the reader to the individual lobbyist Jack Abramoff, focusing on the scandals associated with his person. It also points to changes for lobbyists and politicians, which caused his case. The aim of this work is to acquaint the reader with the concept of lobbying, lobbying to highlight the developments in the U.S. and to answer the question "How has the Abramoff affair influenced legislation?"

The main theme of this text is an analysis of G.W. Bush's speeches, especially focused on the documents State of the Union Address. Text is based on analysis of fundamental terms and evaluation the context of their using in speeches. One of the topics is to capture the changing image of the enemy of the United States of America as it is presented by president. The theoretical framework of this work is defined in two introductory chapters that deal with historical roots of the United States of America and with the events of eight years of G. W. Bush's presidency.
Analysis of the U.S. external economic balance and exchange rate of USD by the end of World War II. to the present

The theme of this thesis is an analysis of the U.S. external economic balance. The first part of the work deals with the parameter of the external economic balance and definition of the balance of payments. Furthermore, the first part describes the individual parts of the balance of payments. Finally, there are the foreign investment position of the country and external debt indicators. In the second part of the work we can find an analysis of the U.S. balance of payments. There are values of the current account, the capital account, the financial account and the statistical discrepancy of the United States of America. Finally, the work deals with the foreign investment position and the external debt of the United States of America.
Comparison of the U.S. and the CZ banking system

The goal of the bachelor thesis: "Comparison of the U.S. and the CZ banking system" through the analysis and identification of significant differences in the U.S. banking system and the CZ banking system at the field of the central and commercial banking. First, the bachelor thesis analyzes and compares the basic structure of the banking systems and specifies their specific and common features. The subsequent part of the thesis is focused on the description of central banking. It compares their specified duties, organizational structure and tools used in monetary and supervisory policies. The final part discusses the commercial banking sector in terms of institutional typology of financial institutions in the banking systems and then it compares them.
Development of ecomy of the United States of America during the Second World War

In my bachelor thesis I focus on the development of economy of the United States of America during the Second World War (with special emphasis on aerospace industry). In the first part I would like to analyze the progression and plans for airplane production before the actual engagement of US in the war clash. The analysis of the steps and decisions which led the US to aid its Allies, is written in the next chapter. Especially the first war year for the US deserves increased attention. The construction and financial advancement of industry factories involved in the aerospace industry is analyzed in another chapter. Government participation in creating various agencies and institutions which took part in war production is covered in my bachelor thesis as well.
NAFTA: Has the agreement fulfilled the expectation of the member states?

This thesis is focused on the accomplishments of the North American Free Trade Agreement after fifteen years since coming into force. The objective is to evaluate the existing trends in the three countries and review if the member states succeeded in fulfilling the goals of the Agreement. First part is dedicated to the development in the area of general goals, defined in the first articles of the Agreement. Second and third chapter examine the progress made in strategic goals of each country.
U. S. Foreign Policy and 2008 presidential elections

Před více než rokem Barack Hussein Obama po svém triumfu ve volbách nastoupil na post prezidenta USA a s trochou nadsázky tak získal "nejhorší zaměstnání v zemi" Čekal na něj úkol vyvést americkou ekonomiku z hluboké globální krize, vyřešit dvě nepopulární války, znovu vybudovat renomé americké diplomacii, zvrátit jaderné ambice Íránu a neposlušnost KLDR, usměrnit izraelsko-palestinský konflikt, a to je jen začátek nekonečného seznamu. Nemálo práce mu přitom přidělal jeho předchůdce George W. Bush, jehož první volební období plné militarismu, unilateralismu a černobílého rozdělování mapy světa na "ty dobré a ty zlé", pošpinilo dobré jméno Spojených států, poškodilo spojenecké svazky a uvrhlo zemi do rekordního dluhu. Přestože sám Bush mladší se ze svých chyb po obhájení mandátu poučil, vyměnil některé neokonzervativní členy svého týmu za mladší a ke světu otevřenější spolupracovníky a vydal se smířlivější cestou, nepodařilo se mu jeho omyly napravit. Barack Obama si byl Bushova obratu dobře vědom a je důkazem jeho moudrosti a rozvahy, že se neuchýlil k bezhlavému propouštění zaměstnanců bývalé administrativy, ale byl schopen z ní vytáhnout nejsilnější články. Obama mistrně zkombinoval osobnosti bývalé administrativy, své věrné druhy i dřívější rivaly, a dal tak vzniknout různorodému, ale pevnému týmu bez vyhraněné politické orientace. V podstatě si v okruhu svých kolegů vytvořil vlastní systém brzd a protivah.
