Předkládaná bakalářská práce se zabývá normalizací vztahů mezi Čínskou lidovou republikou a Spojenými státy americkými, ke které došlo v 70. letech 20. století, jejími příčinami a dopady. Normalizace umožnila sblížení obou zemí a rozvoj vzájemné spolupráce. Text si dále klade za cíl prozkoumat vývoj vztahů mezi oběma velikány komplexněji. Zaměřuje se na odhalení příčin dlouhého trvání jejich vývoje a na motivy, které obě země k navázání styků vedly. Rovnováha sil v tomto velice podstatném mezistátním vztahu se mění, proto tedy autorka shledává důležitým prozkoumat jeho základy. Práce je rozčleněna do čtyř kapitol. První část pojednává o historii vzájemných vztahů, druhá se zabývá mezinárodními a vnitřními předpoklady normalizace. Ta samotná je pak mapována ve třetí kapitole, její vliv a dopady jsou rozebrány v poslední kapitole. Presented bachelor thesis is dealing with the normalization of relations between the People's Republic of China and the United States of America in 1970s, with its causes and results. The normalization enabled rapprochement of both countries, as well as development of mutual cooperation. The text intends to explore history and progression of those relations globally. It focuses on revealing reasons of their long-lasting development and on incentives, that led both countries to diplomatic recognition. Balance of powers in this very important interstate relation is changing, therefore it is necessary to look on its basis. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first one concentrates on history of Sino-American relations, the second one concerns international and internal predispositions of the normalization. The normalization itself is analyzed in third chapter, its influence and consequences are presented in the end of the thesis.
