Vývoj a současná situace skokových soutěží koní v České republice

ABSTRACT In the first part of the bachelor thesis is given cross-section history and direction of horsemanship and later jump competitions from the early beginnings of the development of the horse and its subsequent phase coexistence with the man who started to use it to your advantage around the world and in our country. The next part describes the rules jump riding, which is governed by this equestrian discipline. Approximates the rules regarding code of conduct, what are the degree of difficulty as the competition takes place, the penalty which the rider must watch for and how the horse races at present. The following chapter discusses the breeds of horses, which is the gradual development breeding, breeding objectives and changes in the final affirmation of the desired properties, talented equestrian breeds with great jumping potential. At the end of the thesis I present situation showjumping in the Czech Republic, it's analysis of the last few years, developing a shift in representation of riders and horses not only in the domestic arena, but also abroad. Sheet music as a special type of documents in music libraries and music departments of libraries

Bakalářská práce pojednává o hudebninách jako speciálním druhu dokumentů v hudebních knihovnách a hudebních odděleních knihoven. V úvodu je nastíněno postavení hudebnin v historickém vývoji společnosti. Další část se zabývá problematikou terminologie a typologie hudebnin, seznamuje s vývojem notového písma i samotného dokumentu. Jádrem práce je část, která podrobněji rozebírá knihovnické činnosti týkající se hudebnin - akvizici, katalogizaci a organizaci fondu. Následující kapitola je věnována vlivu digitalizace na písemné zpracování hudby, představuje také některé notační programy. Závěru práce pak patří opět postavení hudebnin ve společnosti, tentokrát však spíše současnému a možnému budoucímu. Je zde uveden také autorský zákon a jeho vliv na hudební knihovnictví.

Outline of advances in teaching medical information literacy : with a special view of its implementation into the academic environment (curricula) at the 2nd Medical School, Charles University in Prague

The thesis deals with selected theoretical fundamentals of information literacy, which are followed by an analysis of the situation of teaching information literacy at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague. The objective of this thesis is to describe the whole process of participation of the Department of Science Information at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine in the process of information education. First the thesis gives information on a theoretical level about basic terminology and information literacy from a medical point of view. The thesis also shows the results of questionnaire surveys held by the IVIG Committee focused on the activities of university libraries in the field of information education. No less important is also a chapter devoted to a librarian in the role of a lecturer. a chapter devoted to information education at other universities in the Czech Republic ensues. The practical part contains a presentation of teaching at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine where the library participates. Individual subjects are described in detail in the mentioned part. Some recommendations for improving the actual teaching are formulated in the conclusion.

International Terrorism in the context of Contemporary Mass Media

The aim of the Master's thesis is to analyze the phenomenon of international terrorism as a process of communication which exploits the pattern of contemporary mass media. The thesis will result in a practical application of findings of this analysis on chosen recent terrorist attacks. It will mainly focus on evaluating whether the patterns of terrorism as striving for publicity are still present and if/how they have changed with the arrival of web-based communication. First chapter of the thesis is dedicated to defining and framing terrorism. It also gives a brief insight to historical roots of a terrorist's need for attention. Second chapter introduces mass media as a theoretical concept and as a tool in the communication strategy of a terrorist. The final chapter examines chosen attacks in years 2010 and 2011 through the prism of media-centered strategy. It shows almost no changes in the strategy, however, there is a solid evidence for a terrorists' ability to take advantage of the Internet as a mean to enhance the effect of their activity, e.g. recruitment of adherents, resource of information, and spreading messages.

Financial analysis of a hotel

This diploma thesis is a financial analysis of the company SHC Prague TRS, a.s. from 2005 to 2009, which manages Hotel InterContinental Praha. Firstly, the aim of this work is to evaluate the financial efficiency of the hotel through financial analysis, and secondly to indicate the possibility for development of financial management in the future. The financial analysis is based on external data from annual reports of the company. The thesis is devided into two chapters and completed with supplements. The first chapter is theoretical, where the principal meaning and functions of the financial analysis are characterized, source information and users of results are presented, and methodology of financial analysis is explained. The second chapter is practical, where basic information about the company is mentioned and a financial analysis is made applying the methods and procedures described in the first part. In conclusion, the results are summarized and there is a complete evaluation of the financial situation of SHC Prague TRS, a.s., that operates Hotel InterContinenatal Praha.

Effectiveness of rehabilitation of the upper limb

The purpose of this bachelor‘s thesis is to examine muscle bioelectrical activity and its measuring in the BIOPAC system. To better understand this subject this bachelor’s thesis takes interest in a muscle tissue and all its main structure. It is also focused on electromyography as a significant diagnostic method in medicine. Subsequently there is an introduction to the practical part of bachelor‘s thesis. In this chapter the main focus is aimed at monitoring the parameters of the surface EMG signal of brachioradialis muscle. The measurements are collected in three phases, before, during and at the end of the proposed process of the strengthening of brachiotadialis muscle. The measured values are statistically processed and then interpreted. The final chapter seeks to specify the motivational activities and the enhancement of effectiveness of exercise.

At least partial connection between the life of Father Bernard and his spiritual exercises and so the impact of Fr. Induced abortion patterns in the Czech Republic

Induced abortion patterns in the Czech Republic One of the objectives of this study is mainly to present trends of induced abortions after 1987, when already the occurence of induced abortions is not influenced (affected) by the restrictive legislative changes. At first, the study is focused on the methodology. Scope in the next part is for induced abortion by age of women, but also according to various differential indicators of abortions. (eg. marital status, education or region). In the end of this chapter is briefly introduced the progression of modern contraceptive immediately related with decrease of intensity of induced abortions. In the next chapter is briefly outlined international comparison, which is difficult due to several circumstances. Another object of this study is to examine attitude of the Czech public towards induced abortions - base on questionnaire. The penultimate chapter is devoted to this topic. There are basic hypothesis given it the introduction of this chapter. In final part is studied public opinion by various criteria (eg. gender, religion or place of residence). In conclusion are summarized the main findings of this study.
