Petr Eben - music as a way to God
Šmardová Koulová, Jana ; Špačková, Alena (advisor) ; Tvrdek, Petr (referee)
Petr Eben. Petr Eben. Music as the way to God. Jana Šmardová Koulová Summary In my work I have come to the conclusion that Petr Eben's music means really great contribution not only to Czech but even to the whole world sacred music with his compositions that help a lot in ecumenical efforts. The author's own true faith in God, thanks to his concentrated and meaningful work, conveys onto the listener and addresses him/her with direct impact. He understood the subservience of music well, and he...

Moral judgment of the younger school children
Šeráková, Barbora ; Klusák, Miroslav (advisor) ; Hříbková, Lenka (referee)
Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to observe small children when playing or learning something new or telling something and anyone who has ever had the op- portunity to talk to them must have noticed the children sometimes treat the reality around them in a strange way. These are the funny moments when one is surprised what children think and how they treat logic. As though small children lived in an odd world where the rules of logic are completely different. The famous Swiss psy- chologist noticed this peculiar children's thinking and described the intellectual egocentrism in children of preschool and early school age. Egocentrism does not affect only the children's logical thinking but also other aspects of children's think- ing and experience. This special "setting" of children's minds can be observed when the children are playing, in children's communication, in their drawings or in chil- dren's moral judgement. In the field of children's morals Piaget spoke of the moral realism. Under the influence of moral realism children when morally judging the moral situations presented to them do not concentrate on the essential elements of the story but rather on irrelevant circumstances such as material results of an action and other outside matters. According to Piaget it is essential for...

Interaction of proteins with bromphenol blue - possible analytical uses
Vodičková, Kateřina ; Hudeček, Jiří (advisor) ; Moserová, Michaela (referee)
The so called protein error of pH indicators is often used for protein determination in body fluids. A popular dye for this purpose is the bromophenol blue. A most common calibration standard, bovine serum albumin (or human serum albumin) is used. In this Thesis, I examined the influence of urea on the interaction between bovine serum albumin and bromophenol blue at pH 3,23. Addition of urea in amount corresponding to physiological values in urine (0,2-0,4 mol/l) does not cause changes in absorbance exceeding the experimental error (1 %); the same is true up to 4 mol/l of urea. Higher concentration of urea (6 mol/l) causes a considerable decrease of absorbance (up to 29 %), probably as a result of bovine serum albumin denaturation.

Phraseology in contemporary sports journalism
Fischerová, Simona ; Bozděchová, Ivana (advisor) ; Rejzek, Jiří (referee)
Ihis thesis focuses on presence and description ofphraseology in current sport journalism. The objective is to map different types ofphraseology which appear in contemporary Czech joumals. It describes a frequency anrl the way ofuse af such phenomena. Journals were selected so they represent broadsheets papers, i. e. Lidové noviny, and tabloid papers, i. e. deník Blesk. These periodicals are going to be compared with deník Sport which is the anly newspaper concentrating auly on sport themes. The theoretical part ofthe thesis defines terms phraseology and idiom according to Čennak:'s papers. Next part considers c1assificatioD anrl categorization which is showing up in present grammar books. Analytical part examines found phraseology from the point of different language levels. lt appears that phraseology at present writtenjournalism is not fading. On the contrary its amount is increasing in the new modernized versions. Specific use ofphraseology is in deník Sport. Throughout which is denik Sport trying to extricate from stereotypes typical for sport journalism.

Determining the compression behaviour of fillers and magnesium stearate
Szwedová, Lenka ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Špaček, Vladimír (referee)
1 Abstract The energy of tablets compaction is obtained from the force-distance record. The aim of this work was to determine accumulated energy in a tablets (plastic energy), to determine energy released from a tablet after compaction (elastic energy) and summation of these two energies. Mixtures of magnesium stearate 0%, 0,5% and 1% were prepared in a blending cube. The T1 - FRO 50 compacting machine was used for compacting tablets (weight of each tablets was 500 mg). Compacting forces were 5, 10 and 15 kN. In the first procedure the compaction was ceased after reaching the maximal compaction force, in the second procedure the upper punch was stopped when the maximal compaction force was reached and during 180 s dwell time of decreasing compacting force was recorded while the tablet height was kept constant. The results show that increasing concentration of lubricant leads to a decrease of accumalated energy in a tablet and on the contrary it leads to an increase of energy released from a tablet. The 180 s dwell time with a tablet height kept constant increases plastic energy because of forming more bonds. Microcrystalline cellulose is characterized by higher plastic and lower elastic energy than lactose monohydrate.

Hydrides of uranium intermetallics
Mašková, Silvie ; Havela, Ladislav (advisor)
We have been studying variations of magnetic properties as a function of hydrogen concentration for large families of UTX compounds, which prove that doping of U intermetallics by interstitial hydrogen leads to stronger magnetic properties. On the other hand, any dilution of uranium sublattice by a non-magnetic element leads to the suppression of magnetism. This was demonstrated e.g. on the case of U1-xThxCoSn, in which the long-range ferromagnetism vanishes at approx. 60% Th, preserving the same hexagonal structure (ZrNiAl type, space group P62m ) through the whole concentration range. It is intriguing to investigate whether the interaction with H is changed when replacing Th for U, and whether magnetic properties are affected by the H doping in the analogous way as in pure UCoSn, in which it leads to the increase of TC from 82 K to 102 K for UCoSnH1.4. Here we report on the changes of crystal structure and magnetic properties due to hydrogenation of U1-xThxCoSn (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1).

Vegetation changes in transition bogs at fishpond epilitorals
Spilka, Josef ; Karlík, Petr (advisor) ; Kindlmann, Pavel (referee)
This study concerns in a three peatland sites: the epilitorals of Pilská reservoir and Hořejší Padrťský fishpond in Příbram region and Kamenný fishpond in Pilsen. These peat-bobg were affected by negative conseqences of human activities. The aim of this study is to find out what kind these changes was and what extent they were. The changes in vegetation were observed from two points of view. The GIS analyses of aerial photographs represent the macroscale view. Repeating of old phytosociological relevées was the microscale view. To understand the cause of vegetation changes, the species-environment analyses were used. Four transects were made for this purpose and a water table level, pH and conductivity were mesured monthly along these transects. One-shot measurements of N and P water concentration and a peat depth were also carried out. Measured data from transects were uses in multivariate vegetation analyses and also in one- way analysis, aimed to an expansion plant species. All three sites of concern came through strong changes in past. In all of them the area of biotops of great conservation importance decreased and some endangered plant species have been lost there. The changes in Pilská reservoir epilitoral were mostly anthropogenic, whereas the mires of Hořejší Padrťský fishpond and Kamenný...

In vitro-cultures of medicinal plants-III.
Danielová, Barbora ; Tůmová, Lenka (advisor) ; Dušková, Jiřina (referee)
- 4 - ABSTRAKT Barbora Danielová In vitro-cultures of medicinal plants-III. Elicitation is one of the methods that can be used for increasing secondary metabolites production in in vitro cultures. The present study investigates the effect of methylviologen as the abiotic elicitor on the flavonoids production in the callus and suspension cultures of Ononis arvensis L. after 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 and 168-hours methylviologen administration. The cultures were cultivated on Murashige-Skoog medium with addition of 10 mg/l α-naphtylacetic acid (α-NAA). The flavonoids content was determined using spectrophotometry methods. The maximal content of flavonoids was detected in callus culture after 168-hours methylviologen elicitation in concentration c1 (2,1929 . 10-3 mol/l), the production was increased about 444%. The maximal increase of flavonoids production in suspension culture was after 12-hours methylviologen elicitation in concentration c3 (2,1929 . 10-5 mol/l), the production was increased about 42%. In the opposite, the decreased flavonoids production was detected in callus culture after methylviologem treatment in the concentration c1 (2,1929 . 10-3 mol/l) after 6 and 12 hours about 100% and in suspension culture in the concentration c2 (2,1929 . 10-4 mol/l) after 12 hours about 88%.

Karel Kramář - leader of the nation?
Lustigová, Martina ; Doubek, Vratislav (advisor) ; Polišenská, Milada (referee) ; Svátek, František (referee)
In this dissertation I focus on the Czech (Czechoslovak) politician Karel Kramář and his political thought. This work describes Kramář's political career and also aims to capture the development of his political opinions. This is the first Czech attempt to bring the complete and objective political biography of the first Czechoslovak Prime Minister. Karel Kramář has always stirred emotions in Czechoslovakia, both positive and negative ones. We can study books, which praise Karel Kramář, or books, which criticize him. These books are usually from the era of the First Czechoslovak Republic. During World War II, the name of Karel Kramář was unwelcome because of his opinion on the Germans, after the year 1948 because of his attitude to the Soviet Union and the Bolsheviks. That is why we have only partial studies about some aspects of Kramář's politics. Year 1989 brought no change, except for the increased focus on Kramář's politics. In spite of this fact we still did not have the book about Karel Kramář and his political life and thought which would be written by a Czech author. We just had to read books from German historian Martina Winkler or Russian historian Elena Pavlovna Serapionova. Their work concentrated just on some topics of Kramář's political thought. The theses of this dissertation follow...
