Comparative analysis of modern means of visualization in teaching functions at high school and their history
Lomnický, Matouš ; Karger, Adolf (advisor) ; Odvárko, Oldřich (referee)
This thesis deals with visual teaching aids that are used in the educational proces. It describes aids that are used in teaching mathematical functions at secondary schools. The aim is to describe briefly their historical development and by a questionnaire find changes in their use in teaching of mathematical functions in the past 10 years.
Functional thinking of high school students
Janda, David ; Pilous, Derek (advisor) ; Vondrová, Naďa (referee)
The aim of the thesis Functional thinking of high school students is an analysis and descrip- tion of chosen aspects of function theory at high school, which seems to be problematic. The first chapter of the thesis summarizes basic theoretical concepts of didactics of mathematics focusing on and describing selected researches in the framework of aspects. The second part deals with the analysis of the research realized in standard math lessons at high school. The final chapter of the thesis recapitulates the results of the research from the points of view of particular aspects and discuses their importance and the way of utilization in education.
Didactical situations for teaching functions at the lower secondary level
Krůtová, Michaela ; Novotná, Jarmila (advisor) ; Vondrová, Naďa (referee)
This thesis deals with the possible way to use the Theory of didactic situations in the second level of Czech primary schools. The main topic of the experiment is the introduction of functions in the 9th grade of primary schools. The entire work is divided into two parts - theoretical and experimental. The theoretical part is focused on introduction of the Theory of didactic situations and processing the topic in the educational materials used in the Czech Republic. It also deals with the historical development of the topic of functions in the Czech curricula. In this context, the author conducted a survey, the purpose of which was primarily the view of a primary school mathematics teacher on teaching of functions and on changes that recently accompany the Czech school system. In the experimental part, the author presents detailed information about the educational block processed and implemented according to the principles of the Theory of didactic situations. The aim of the experiment was to watch the reaction of students to the concept of teaching according to the Theory of didactic situations and to evaluate their success in relation to the desired outcomes of the topic. The thesis describes the preparation, progress and evaluation of the prepared educational unit.
Summer musical events and their impact on everyday life in the village Lesná
Hájková, Anna ; Kandert, Josef (advisor) ; Svobodová, Ludmila (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on summer musical events (in Czech "parket") and membership of volunteer fire-fighters and their impact on everyday life in village Lesná. The expression "parket" can have more meanings according to the context. Firstly it is designation for summer dance events or concerts, secondly it is designation for the place in the village where these events take place. This paper is based on literature dealing with the influence of local culture and societies on village community which led author to identify several possible functions this events and volunteer fire-fighters membership may have within the structure. The reviewed version of Merton's functional analysis is used to define the functions. These functions are functions of integration and socialisation, functions connected to voluntary work and educational function, function of this events as a place of increased social control, function of revitalization and stabilisation, function of formation, transmission and preservation of traditions, entertainment and compensatory function, function or dysfunction of conflicts, gaining a higher social status and political power in village and economical function. The research part of this paper is based on qualitative research methods as semi- structured interviews, participant...
Functions in examples and counterexamples
Janda, David ; Pilous, Derek (advisor) ; Zhouf, Jaroslav (referee)
The aim of my Bachelors thesis is to explicate students coming to the uni- versity the key problems in fundamentals of mathematical analysis. I focus on the most notable terms of continuity and limit, which these secondary students were acquainted with. However, majority of them just intuitively and informaly. I am trying to point out the fact, that the knowledge of many students is distortid and uncomplete. As a result it is necessary to practise and clarify this knowledge so that the intuitive imagination of these terms corresponds to the formal definition. I am trying to get this point by brea- king of intuitive imaginations of students by counterexamples. Important is a chapter named The Construction of Functions, which contains instructi- ons leading to the finding functions with specific features. Not only these features, described in this thesis, but also more complex such as derivation, primitive function or uniform convergence. It is a consequence of the fact, that the principle of examples to practise these terms is in many sights similar and repetitious. In chapters named Continuity and Limit, I am interpreting these terms using the special examples, which are in my opinion optimal for rehearsing. My intention is to help illustrate selected problematical sections of mathematical analysis.
Signal processing using parallel mathematical operations
Polášek, Jaromír ; Ležák, Petr (referee) ; Mžourek, Zdeněk (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis deals with the acceleration of function calculations, using parallel computing mediated by NVDIA graphics cards via CUDA technology. The theoretical part describes the general principles of parallel computing and the basic characteristics and parameters of graphics cards NVDIA. The theoretical part also deals with basic principles of CUDA technology. End of the theoretical part focuses on FFTW and cuFFT libraries. The practical part deals with the comparison of the performance between GPU and CPU functions filter2D and Canny and practical possibilities of accelerating fast convolution calculation. The practical part also describes sample code that was used to compare the performance between GPU and CPU. The results of this program are then plotted and evaluated.
Functionning of the Constitutional Law on the Conflict of Interest in Slovakia: Study 1.168

Requirements for manager in the construction engineering
Horská, Lenka ; Talač, Michal (referee) ; Linkeschová, Dana (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused to requirements for manager in the construction engineering. The theoretical part briefly describes the management and its role in the construction. After that, the work devotes itself to the requirements, functions and techniques of construction manager. The empirical part is looking into the establishment of hypotheses which were either confirmed or disproved in a questionnaire research, concentrated on construction companies and senior students in the field of Management building at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. One of the empirical part is analysis of jobs as a manager in the construction industry. This research is enriched by guided interviews, which is followed by conclusions and subsequent recommendations for both civil society, students and also for the faculty.
Functions Detection in Decompilation
Kábele, Břetislav ; Ďurfina, Lukáš (referee) ; Křoustek, Jakub (advisor)
This work describes methods of functions detection in decompilation. It contains basic information about reverse engineering and its applications in computer science and beyond. Decompiler developed by research group Lissom at FIT VUT Brno is introduced. The main objective is to elucidate several methods of functions detection, discuss their advantages and disadvantages, and identify the problems of functions detection. After detecting the start, end and body of function, it is needed to find the parameters and return values. There are some algorithms presented in this area. The output of this thesis is design and implementation of architecture independent function detection and parameter detection.
