Petr Eben - choral inspiration the organ works
Zahrádková, Marie ; Tůma, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with composer, organist, pianist and a great pedagogue Petr Eben (1929 - 2007) and his pieces with choral inspirations. Petr Eben chose Roman Catholic liturgical chant - the Gregorian chant, which played important role for him, as a corner-stone of his numerous pieces. He took interest in both the musical components (melodics, rhytmics) and the content and spiritual aspects of this chant. In his extensive work he was able to employ all of his experiences gained through listening and studying the chant. In this thesis I focus on the issue of coexistence of modern musical language with the oldest musical origins through influence of contemporary musical means connected with historical musical experience that we see in Eben´s work. In addition to revealing of choral citations in Eben´s organ pieces, I focus on the principles of working with gregorian, protestant and saint Wenceslas chant.

Domestic violence on the senior patients suffering from mental disease.
KŮROVÁ, Hana
Home violence on senior patients suffering from mental disorder is often problematic in nowadays-modern society and its line of incidence is on increase. Home violence occurs in many forms {--} economical, physical, psychical violence, but also neglecting of seniors. This violence is difficult to reveal from more reasons. Seniors take this reality as their personal life{\crq}s failure, as the mistake in upbringing and so they quietly bear the violence from their children. Another reason of the increasing latency is their age, present medical condition, limited social contacts. The research was made on the gerontological ward of the psychiatric clinic and in the senior house. Seniors suffering from mental disorder created the searching sample. Acquired information was refilled by semi-operated dialogues with medical staff and by no-operated dialogues with other clients of these institutions. After the research we can say that the most often form of violence committed on seniors is the financial blackmailing. It was also found out that seniors on whom the violence was committed react strongly on the presence of family members by worse mood, by expression of face or by completely change of body position. The home violence can attach everybody, each age, each education, each social status, each religion, both sex. It is important to pay attention to this problem and to try to help to victims of home violence. A lot of seniors suffering from mental disease don{\crq}t stay at home with their family care but they are often moved to a special institution against their will. People who work there in these institutions have positive relation to seniors with mental disorder. They must be empathetic and very patient. This work is very exacting and just these people working in helping professions often suffer from burnout syndrome. It is important to behave to seniors with respect and to people who work with them too.

PCA3 and its use in the diagnosis of prostate cancer.
Škultétyová, Jana ; Semecký, Vladimír (advisor) ; Herink, Josef (referee)
Škultétyová Jana PCA3 and its importance in diagnostics of prostate cancer Bachelor thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Field of study: Medical laboratory technician Prostate cancer is a global problem that bothers many men. Diagnosis is currently focused on measuring levels of prostate-specific antigen, which is used as a screening test. It is focused on the diagnosis of rectal examination and positive biopsy findings. Pitfall of this diagnosis is its not being specific, because prostatic antigen also secretes non-malignant cells. The risk is not finding the proper biopsy tissue, and it often leads to repeat the biopsy. Modern science is therefore looking for other diagnostic options. The determination of PCA3 gene which expresses specifically in prostate cancer cells looks like prospective option. While existing studies point to the estimated positive predictive value of biopsy, which would allow us to indicate their unnecessary and thus save patients from further invasive procedures. This work contains information about diagnosis of prostate cancer, briefly describes PCA3 analysis and summarizes the results obtained by the laboratory in which I work. Keywords: prostate cancer, PCA3, PSA, biopsy

Hormonal treatment in women, prejudice and awareness
BUDÍNOVÁ, Eva
Hormonal treatment is an essential component in treatment of a modern woman. But yet it is disputed and perceived negatively in women owing to prejudice and poor awareness of the issue. The lack of information or information obtained from non-professional sources cause prejudice and the negative perception that is difficult to refute. The data were collected using a quantitative as well as qualitative examination. The quantitative research was made through an anonymous questionnaire in the gynecologist{\crq}s office of MUDr. Koubková in Tábor. The questionnaire gathered identification data and general knowledge on hormone therapy. 110 questionnaires were handed out and 95 were included in the questionnaire. The qualitative examination was carried out in the form of an interview with the nurses from the gynecologists´ offices in Tábor. The thesis gives a survey of the awareness of treatment and the reasons for its refusing, which was its main target. The five single goals that had been set were accomplished by the research results. Five hypotheses were stated. The first, second and third hypotheses were to confirm the premise that women tend to have a negative attitude towards hormonal treatment and they refuse hormonal treatment on account of prejudice. These hypotheses were confirmed. The negative attitudes and hormonal treatment refusal stem from the lack of information or the information obtained from wrong sources. Prejudice is caused by inaccurate information obtained from non-professionals. The fourth and fifth hypotheses were to confirm the presumption that highly educated women have a more positive approach to hormonal treatment than those with basic education, and that the education level has an influence on the attitude towards hormonal treatment, and that women of a lower age are more open to hormonal treatment than middle-aged or elderly women. These hypotheses were not confirmed. Four hypotheses were determined. Questions 1 and 2 examined the women{\crq}s problem taking hormone therapy. Questions 3 and 4 investigated the way a nurse participates in giving information on hormone therapy in the gynecologist{\crq}s office and the way this shortage of information can be made up. All of the questions were answered by the results of the research. The results of the research show that women, while seeking information, address their questions to physicians, but also to their friends, or check the Internet for information. Those who influence their decision making in the respect of hormonal treatment are their partners, friends, media and others. Women confirmed that they have lack of information and are interested in obtaining more information about hormonal treatment. Prejudice and the negative attitude to hormonal treatment originate from lack of information. Hormonal treatment is an indispensable part of the care for a modern healthy woman. It is necessary for women to have access to all the information available to prevent them from the influence of incorrect information and prejudice. The results of the research will be used to make health care personnel familiar with the questions of unawareness and the influence of prejudice on women so that the situation could improve in this respect.

The Centre for Demyelinating Illnesses in Prague II. versus the Out patient of Demyelinating Illnesses in České Budějovice ( Multiple sclerosis - the part of my life)
LINHARTOVÁ, Kateřina
My bachelor thesis is devoted to the issue of multiple sclerosis. It is a case of demyelinating disease affecting the central nerve system by inflammatory focuses. It causes nerve channel disorders and nerve fibre destruction, which may result in damage of function followed by disability. Genesis of a multiple sclerosis has not been known yet. It may be generated by a number of factors. The disease affects an individual of younger and medium age, more often women than men. At present the multiple sclerosis is an illness that can be diagnosed as early as at its clinical beginning and the adequate therapy can be started as soon as possible. Although there is no causal treatment yet, modern medical methods represent significant step forward and an increase of the per cent of patients whose central nerve system may not be damaged and permanent disability may not occur. Complex care for the patient with multiple sclerosis is secured by so called MS Centres (Multiple Sclerosis Centres) established and working all over the Czech Republic. The scope of their activity is rather wide: from the diagnostics of the illness, over pharmacological treatment, treatment by a psychologist, socially-legal consultancy and rehabilitation up to the scientifically-research and educational activity.I focused my work on particularly two such establishments {--} The Centre for Demyelinating Diseases in Prague 2 and Outpatient Department of Demyelinating Diseases in České Budějovice. I set up following objectives: the first objective was to map out the provision of services by the two above mentioned establishments. The second objective of my work was to find out the quality of such services involving examinations of patients taking medicines of the first selection and the IVIG (intravenous immunoglobulin), the clinical examination of the patients being monitored, the examination of new patients, the administration of intravenous drip therapy, the services of a psychologist and of a social worker, rehabilitation. I selected a qualitative research for fulfilment of the above mentioned two objectives. The selective pattern involved five clients of the Outpatient Department of Demyelinating Diseases in České Budějovice and seven clients from the Centre for Demyelinating Diseases in Prague 2. The clients were selected by the random systematic selection. The necessary data were collected by method of interview, semi standardized interview technique. The interview was performed with staff of both establishments and with the clients.I would like to contribute by my thesis to increase of the public awareness of the issue of multiple sclerosis, of the services being provided and treatment possibilities. This paper may also be a guide for improvement of services provided to patients suffering from multiple sclerosis. The achieved conclusions and created hypotheses can be used as a basis for further quantitative research of this issue.

Petrobras Planning Domain: PDDL Modeling and Solving
Hanes, Martin ; Toropila, Daniel (advisor) ; Gemrot, Jakub (referee)
The thesis explores Petrobras domain from the challenge track of the ICKEPS 2012 competition, which is an example of a difficult problem stand- ing on the borderline between planning and scheduling. It describes state-of-art techniques of the modern artificial intelligence that were chosen for this purpose. It guides the reader in the process of modeling the Petrobras domain in PDDL language and explains the results provided by the existing tools used within plan- ning community. In the end it compares the results of the chosen approach to the other approaches used in ICKEPS 2012 competition, showing that the existing sequential planning systems are usable only for solving smaller problem instances of this domain.

Galovičová, Anna ; Uhlář, Pavel (advisor) ; Kebza, Vladimír (referee)
The following study is an attempt to investigate the genesis of the traditional yoga and its evolution in our region. An Educational Programme for Incarcerated Youth
Petriščová, Alena ; Šotolová, Eva (referee) ; Bajcura, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of my diploma páper is to uncover and at least partially analyse present statě of execution of prison sentence (execution of criminal precaution) of juvenile delinquents inprisonment, and to analyse possibilities of treatment of offenders from their point of view. The diploma páper is focused on personality of juvenile convicted offender who uses all prison services. I would like to reach this aim through partial standardized interviews which I present in a practical part of this páper. I complete the practical part with a few client characteristics. Respodents from the practical part are from prison Všehrdy. These questiones are solved in czech and foreign literatuře in context of comparing with alternative punishments. As I have established, this point of view on juvenile convicted offenders is untouched. That is the area where I see the benefít of my work, especially in relations to present trends and modern conception of penology. The theoretical information I drew from czech and also foreign background, from various researches and books.
