The analysis of pressure distribution over the sole while standing and walking in heel spur patients, prior to therapy and following shock wave treatment

The thesis "Analysis of the distribution of the sole pressures in standing position and in walking of person s with the diagnosis of calcar calcanei before and after extracorporeal shock wave therapy" is a theoretical-empirical case study. The theoretical part deals with kinesiology and function of foot, furthermore it attends to postural stability system, control, analysis of physiological walk and plantar distribution of pressures in standing position and in walk. Also, findings about heel spur and its treatment possibilities are worked up. The theoretical part ends with the summary of findings about extracorporeal shock wave therapy, advantages and disadvantages, indications and contraindications. The empirical part of the thesis is concemed with verifying the influence of extracorporeal shock wave therapy to standing position and walk of patients with the diagnosis calcar calcanei. The main object of the research was observing changes in the distribution of the sole pressures in standing position and walk of the patients with heel spur before and after extracorporeal shock wave herapy. Autor: Jana Hamerníková Title: Atopic dermatitis - therapeutic methods Thesis Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Specialization: Pharmacy Objective: The aim of this thesis is available through a search of both domestic and foreign literature to analyze the current knowledge regarding the skin disease atopic eczema and to look at possible ways to treat this disease. Main findings: In our work, we describe the basic characterization of healthy skin, definition, incidence, etiopathogenesis, risk factors, forms, complications, diagnosis, treatment and proper diet in atopic eczema. The treatment is divided mainly on the external, physical, internal and alternative. The basic approach for the treatment of atopic eczema should always be individual and complex that is appropriate for your treatment and respect of good lifestyle. The treatment is always external, which can be combined with more severe cases of internal or physical therapy. Alternative medicine is the use of more marginal. Conclusion: Atopic eczema is incurable skin disease. Properly selected the correct therapy and lifestyle we are trying to dampen only the symptoms and reduce the frequency of relapse.

Financial analysis of company concerned with sewage treatment

The goal of my thesis was to make a financial analysis and an outline of the financial plan. In the first, theoretical, part I described the purpose of financial analysis and its methods and procedures used in the practical part. The second part is called the application. There I made a financial analysis of Ekosystem spol. s r.o. First I introduced the enterprise and its activities. This was followed by horizontal and vertical analysis of financial statements, analysis of financial indicators and assessment of financial soundness. I also compared the company with two other companies in the same business branch and I outlined the short-term financial plan. In the final section, I summarized the knowledge larned in the application part and I reviewed the business as a whole.

Children suffering from a chronic disease

This bachelor thesis deals with the subject of tumour diseases in childhood. It describes the impact of disease 011 the personality of children and their near relations. Subsequently, the somatic, psychological and social aspects of the treatment are analysed. The thesis provides for the insight into the occupation of the medical staff working with children suffering from tumour diseases and it involves the issues of volunteers and canistherapy regarding the child patients. The case study consists of questionnaires. The final part presents conclusion of the findings gathered from the questionnaires and from the author's personal experience in volunteer work.

Educational work problems with juvenile criminality offenders

Diploma thesis is focused on educational work with juvenilie offenders who are sentenced to execution of punishment. From a penitentiary point of view it is concemed with factors which are hindering the educational treatment and the influence of the educational activities on this specific group. Facts established by inquiry should clarify the educational issues with juvenile offenders during their detention with the inclusion of difficulties and give an overview about the related actual sphere of problems.

Changes in mental state experienced by patients with diabetes along therapy

The thesis is focused on the problematic of quality of life, depression, eating behaviour and cognitive representations of illness among people with type 2 diabetes. It stems from literature and information about problematic. In the theoretical part, the overview about diabetes mellitus, its symptoms, types, complications, and treatment is outlines. Next topics of this part are quality of life of people with diabetes, especially with type 2 diabetes, depression in people with diabetes and cognitive representations of illness. The empirical part is concentrated on the examination of degree of depresivity, quality of life, eating habits and illness perceptions among people with type 2 diabetes. It compares these variables before and after large intervention program, which is aimed at weight-loss and better metabolic control. And it compares them in relationship to gender and to type of diet.

Verification of the effects of Vojta's reflex locomation in patients with peripheral paresis of the facial nerve

This thesis summes up findings concerning the pathogenesis, clinical picture, diagnostic, and the therapy of peripheral paresis of the facial nerve, with accent on physiotherapeutical methods of treatment of such disorder. Here is also a description of Polyelectromyography that could become one possibility how to objectively judge the differences in the activation of mimical muscles in patients diagnosed with peripheral paresis of the facial nerve during various kinds of mimical movements. The practical part is concerned with and is talking about the use and application of my knowledge of the theory in practice with providing therapy to my patients suffering from peripheral paresis of the facial nerve by applying Vojta's reflex locomotion. Název: Reologie kolenn~ho kloubu před a po chirurgickém řešení ruptury přednfuo zkříženého vazu Název v anglickém jazyce: Rheology of the Knee Joint before and after the Surgical Treatment of the Rupture of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament Cíl práce: Shrnout a analyzovat problematiku kolenního kloubu a získané poznatky využít při detekci změn reologických vlastností kolene po ruptuře předního zkříženého vazu před operací a v průběhu rekonvalescence. Srovnáill se zdravou končetinou a hodnocení změn průběhů hysterezních křivek v průběhu rekonvalescence. Navržení hodnot~cích parametrů pro popis stavu kolenního kloubu a jeho vývoje v průběhu rekonvalescence. Metoda: Bylo použito několik dostupných literárních zdrojů, ze kterých byly čerpány informace pro získání teoretického přehledu o problematice kolenního kloubu. Zároveň probíhala experimentální studie, která potvrdila či vyvrátila předem dané hypotézy. Výsledky: Výsledky poukazují na možnost detekce změn reologických vlastností kolenrubo kloubu po ruptuře předního zkříženého vazu. Bylo navrženo několik parametrů pro hodnocení vlastního experimentu, obecně lze ale říci, že bude ještě potřeba mnoha dalších studií, než bude zcela zřejmý výklad těchto parametrů a bude možné tyto parametry považovat za hodnotící standard. Dále je důležitá skutečnost...
