Childbirth formerly and today
SVOBODOVÁ, Kateřina
This bachelor paper deals with the development of obstetrics since the very beginnings when all connected with birthgiving was tinged with something ``mysterious, empirical{\crqq} up to the present day when obstetrics is grounded on many facts. The care for the birthgiving woman is continuously innovated. First, the birthgiving woman was taken care of by older women of her family who had already given birth to their children and had therefore experience they could pass further. Nowadays it is the midwives who take care of the woman during her delivery. As well as in the past women close to the birthgiving woman the midwives are with the woman and they try to make the delivery easier for her. The development is still progressing but there is still the fact that a delivery is a situation when health is at stake, for both the newborn and the woman. The survey aimed at drawing an outline of the development of the care provided to the birthgiving woman. The methodology of the paper is a semi conducted interview. The first variant of the interview was prepared for woman who gave birth 50 years ago, 20-25 years ago and for woman who gave birth 7 years ago. The second variant was prepared for midwives without the difference of age. When interviewing women having given birth 20-25 years ago I was very surprised by their unified opinion. They agreed on the fact that the care for them and the attitude of the medical personal was inadequate to them. They were very malcontent. Mostly they complain about the first stage, when they had to lie on the bed, mostly with a drip-feeding. On the other hand women having given birth 50 years ago were satisfied with the care they had during their delivery. The greatest satisfaction is however declared by women who gave birth 7 years ago, who consider the medical personnel obliging and regardful. Especially they speak about the possibility of movement which was not allowed to women 20 years ago. The interviews with midwifes confirm that the development in obstetrics is progressing. Midwives who entered their employment after 1990 claim that competencies are increasing while older midwives claim the contrary, they say that at the beginning of their carreer their competences were greater than they are today. However all midwives agree that women nowadays are more informed on delivery than they used to be. Unfortunately, they are sometimes overinformed so that they do not know what to choose. Therefore the midwives recommend prenatal courses organised by the materninty clinic where it is the midwife of the particular clinic who informs women on possibilities and procedures which are recommended and carried out at the clinic. The survey has therefore shown, that the care for birthgiving woman is improving. And women are very satisfied at present.

Comparison of students' performance at the beginning and upon completion of their simultaneous interpretation training course
Renner, Jakub ; Abdallaova, Naděžda (referee) ; Rejšková, Jana (advisor)
The main aim of the thesis is to determine,~ whether there may be a relationship between the capacity of working memor)Lfc,and the skill of interpreting features of modality in a text. Based on this aim, the basic concepts determining the approach to the above question are outlined (working memory, modality). An experiment is conducted on a population of nine subjects. The experiment investigates the development of working memory capacity (memory span test), and the skill to interpret features of modality during the course of interpretation studies (simultaneous interpretation of and English text with high occurrence of features of modality). Based on an analysis, evaluation, and statistical processing of the experimental results, the thesis determines that working memory capacity, and the ability to interpret features of modality may be related.

Child´s creativity
HYBRANTOVÁ, Jana
Drawing, painting and modelling belong to typical ways of childern´s expressions. Emocional, intellectual, corporeal, perceptional, aesthetic, social and creative growth can be easily analysed by children´s art. The Subject of my exploration in this work is the creativity. At first I mention psychology of creativity issues and interpretation of basic definitions in this sience branch. Then follow characteristics of individual stages of children´s art creativity and characteristics of evolutional stages of creative activities in childhood. In the end there are various art techniques for development of child´s creativity used in art-therapy with children, who attend art lessons in their leisure time. I describe the beginning and the course of art-therapeutic process as well as the children´s art expressions in specific open group.

The drama "Yoshitsune and the thousand cherry trees." Minamoto No Yoshitsune as a martial strategist, courtier and literary myth.
Ryndová, Jana ; Švarcová, Zdeňka (advisor) ; Rumánek, Ivan (referee) ; Tirala, Martin (referee)
In her doctoral thesis the author would like to present the play Yoshitsune and the Thousand Cherry trees (Yoshitsune senbonzakura) as a unique piece of Japanese drama which has a great complexity and an outstanding place within the corpus of Japanese literature. Even if the play can be compared to Chushingura mono in its importance, Yoshitsune senbonzakura has not been widely translated to western languages. There are two exceptions, however: the English translation (Jones, Jr. 1993) and the German translation (Klopfenstein 1982). While comparing the two translations and using the most full original texts available (as preserved in Takeda Izumo and Namiki Sosuke Joruri Collection and Yuda Yoshio's Bunraku Joruri Collection), the author's goal is to present the play to Czech readers and its interpretation to Czech scholars. As for the flow and structure of the interpretation of Yoshitsune senbonzakura the author begins with the historical background of the legend of Minamoto Yoshitsune, capturing the life of Yoshitsune from the time of Heiji rebellion (1159) when he was born to his death in 1189. Next the author concentrates on the legend itself as it evolved within the course of Japanese literature. With a shift from the court literature of Heian period towards the battlefield stories and...

Options for young people leaving children's homes
Groeslová, Gabriela ; Nováková, Daniela (referee) ; Mojžíšová, Jarmila (advisor)
In the theoretical part of my thesis there is a brief summary of forms of institutional education and influence of the education on children. It also describes projects that offer help and support to young people leaving institutional care and beginning their selfdependent life. The practical part of the thesis focuses on one specific project. It describes the course of the project in the children's homes that took part in it and experience of the children living in these homes. The goal of the practical part is to prove hypotheses concerning both the effectiveness of the project and preparedness of young people leaving institutional care.

The use of simulation and computational environments in physics education
Dekar, Martin ; Babka, Vlastimil (referee) ; Holub, Viliam (advisor)
In the presented work we study usage of interactive simulations (a modern approach to e-learning) in science education from the programmer's point of view. A concept of interactive simulation is presented in the beginning of the presented work, followed by guidelines for choosing suitable authoring environment for development of large number of such simulations. Next we introduce four existing development tools and we verify their practical usability by implementing suitable physics test problem - damped harmonic oscilator. This implementation is also described. In the end of the work we introduce a new kind of educational simulation allowing experimental data to be obtained from the simulation which gets simulation closer to real experiment. This approach shows a new course of e-learning. This simulation together with a library consisting of more than 100 reusable graphical objects is created in the Adobe Flash CS3 environment.

Buddhism as Value Source in the Course of New Identities and Lifestyles Formation in the Czech Republic
Cirklová, Jitka ; Tuček, Milan (advisor) ; Lužný, Dušan (referee) ; Bělka, Luboš (referee)
The text, which is divided into ten chapters, deals with the form and orientation of the Czech Buddhist community. At the beginning, the thesis presents a short overview of Buddhism interpretations by Western science, culture and society. We present the ways of and reasons for popularization of Buddhism in Western cultural environment and provide the issues which attract attention of professional public and which have been explored within various scientific fields. The paper introduces research into the current Western Buddhism, which is understood as an independent form of Buddhism rather than a direct continuation of Asian Buddhist lines and schools. The dissertation thesis therefore uses the discussions and foreign studies focusing on the mapping of ways of interpretation and application of Buddhist ideas in the Western cultural environment.. Our study endeavours to understand better the dynamics of the domains of current religion and describe them. The field survey concentrated on Buddhist groups as well as individuals. Subsequently, the text evaluates their interaction and the process of forming of a group and an individual. The first stage of research provided us with more complex data on the institutional background formed by Czech Buddhist groups on which the respondents draw. The following second...

Integrace Sociálních sítí
Mašíček, Viktor ; Skopal, Tomáš (referee) ; Tykal, Jaroslav (advisor)
Social networks are the current phenomenon, and their integration begins to gain importance. Basic idea is to pair identical pieces of information stored in various social networks and to detect inconsistencies between them. The most important data that need to be integrated are user profi les and lists of contacts. In our work, we propose the integration of both the pro files and lists of contacts, and even groups of users that could be created in social networks. Implementation is not part of the work. However the proposal suggests the creation of Main social network in form of a web application, that brokers the integration to end users. From the perspective of users it is bene cial to display data from all social networks in one place and automate detection of di erences. User's data could be used for commercial purposes, of course, within legal limits. From this perspective, the biggest contribution of Main social network is a social graph. It consists of various social graphs of social networks. Additionally it would contain information about membership of users in social networks. The proposal consists of three main parts: main processes of the Main social network, its data model and means of gathering information from different networks. The design of data model was partially inspired by existing...
