CWDM technology for optical wireless links
Kumpán, Vítězslav ; Zvánovec, Stanislav (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
In this work an optical wireless test link for studying of atmospheric phenomena in the optical bands of 830 nm and 1550 nm is described. The WDM technology involving technology of optical fibers is included into transmitter of the link. The measuring devices for measuring power, spectrum and polarization control are included into receiver of the link. The outcomes of this work are both measuring chain design and verification of its functionality.

Web server with ARM microprocessor
Tesař, Jan ; Vařacha, František (referee) ; Prokeš, Aleš (advisor)
Diploma thesis is dealing with design and implementation of the web server and manage- ment website in the developing kit FriendlyARM Mini6410 with installed OS GNU/Linux. The embedded packaging system PTXdist is described in terms of Kernel configuration and selection of suitable applications. The device should be later used for the remote management of atmospheric optical link.

Optical cableless transmission
Němec, Filip ; Křepelka, Václav (referee) ; Filka, Miloslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis first handles the general issues concerning free space optics in the~atmosphere. The aim is to design and implementation of optical wireless equipment, which would serve in the laboratories of optical networks. Ronja was used as the basis for a~wireless link, which is already widespread in the world. Students will work with the device, which they may come into contact in the future. It consists several separate modules: transmitter, receiver and inteface. Each module have a separate chapter describing the~functional blocks and circuit realization. Ronja was adjusted for the needs of~laboratory tasks, where additional voltmeters measures received signal strength (RSSI) at~both ends of the link. Measuring device provides adjustment of power the transmitting LED via~computer, measures and sends RSSI values to a PC via~USB or RS232, turn off Ronja with computer. For targeting the pipes of Ronja was developed the mechanical design. In the last part of thesis the device was undergone a series of tests.

Wireless transmission of flight data for low distance
Kučera, Petr ; Maršálek, Roman (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the flight data wireless transmission from aircraft to the ground station. This is the data sent from the acrobatic aircraft during races, specifically the GPS position and data from sensors of acceleration and rotation of the aircraft. It dealt with the theoretical analysis of the radio link and design of device that receives radio transmission. In aircraft it is dealt with data capturing and their deployment through the radio module. Data are sending to another post-processing on the ground station after receiving. There are two solutions of radio module and in the last part is a solution for capturing data from more airplanes.

Laser transmitter with fiber
Hašek, Jaroslav ; Němeček, Jiří (referee) ; Wilfert, Otakar (advisor)
This master´s thesis deals with communication which is provided by optical devices. Optical wireless links are enforced due to high bit rate, responsibility and noise immunity. Main part of this master´s project is devoted to optical fibre, its characteristic and its usage in laser transmitter.

Sound Module for Evaluation Kit
Priškin, Jiří ; Číž, Radim (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is dealing with design and putting into operation of sound module for evaluation kit Atmel ATSTK1000. At the beginning, there is an introduction with properties, hardware and software equipment of the evaluation kit which is used for development of embedded devices based on AT32AP7000. The microcontroller AP7000 is a complete system on chip with an AVR32 microprocessor core, containing additional supporting circuits, controllers and interfaces which the core itself does not have included. However, there is no digital to analog converter for audio signal processing. This has led to design an additional module performing this task. A part of thesis describes Intel AC‘97 standard including AC-link interface, which is used for full-duplex data transmission between realized sound module and the evaluation kit STK1000. The sound module is designed as a plug-in card. The last chapter presents the Linux operating system installation process as an SD/MMC Flash memory card boot image creation and test of the sound module under ALSA architecture.

Design and experimental verification of usability testing methodology for mobile contactless NFC payments
Novotná, Pavla ; Gála, Libor (advisor) ; Zich, Martin (referee)
The purpose of this work is the design and experimental verification usability testing methodology of mobile contactless NFC payments. Given that this is the very innovative and flexible region (m-commerce and the usability of mobile devices) we need to develop a methodology to adapt the methods and usability testing standards for the specifics of mobile devices. The benefit of this work is to link the usability and m-commerce and the creation of a methodology for mobile devices usability testing. This work can be beneficial for companies that decides to enter the mobile payments market (as for instance a firm MOPET CZ rather unexpectedly made with the mobito project) and also for companies that are already dealing with m-commerce. This work can be also useful as a matrix for creating own testing methodology for mobile devices, even for other purposes.

Design of digital switching field animation
Kučerka, Daniel ; Šilhavý, Pavel (referee) ; Kapoun, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis describes types and parameters of memories used in communication engineering. The memory is a device which is able to record and to save information for the certain period of time. The memory is used in computers, measuring devices, consumer electronics etc. Main parameters of the memory are capacity, data stream speed, price of bit and time of memory cycle. The first part of this thesis deals with two types of memory – external and internal. External memories are removable media such as discs and magnetic tapes used for information saving and data backup for longtime period. Inner memories – in the form of semiconductive components – are mostly attached to the main panel. There are two types of inner memories – RAM (random access memory) and ROM (read only memory). The memories could be further divided according to their dependence on feeding used for memory saving. Types of memories used in switching exchanges are also mentioned in this part. The next part discusses the scheme of T switch for the first level of European PDH E1. The space switch and the time switch T belongs to switches used in digital switching exchange. In this part, the T switch, in particular the switch TR with controlled reading and the switch TW with controlled writing are described into details such as its parameters and methods of control. Furthermore, the calculation of call memory and control memory extant in E1 and E2 hierarchy are presented as well as the memory reading time and writing time of T switch in E1 and E2 hierarchy. The result of this thesis is a design of digital switching field animation that consists of four T switches. All operations, which are used in building linking of digital switching field, are shown in this animation.

Consumer behaviour difference among young people (city and countryside).
Samec, Tomáš ; Šanderová, Jadwiga (advisor) ; Tuček, Milan (referee)
Issues of material, cultural and relationship consuption in context of late modern society are being discussed in the thesis. Differences between the social context of city and rural areas are used to describe social functions of consumption. At first consumption is defined in sociological terms using the literature. Thesis contains basic theoretical approaches dealing with consumption. Major interest is being put on analytical part of thesis, which shows findings of research. Research is divided into two parts. Qualitative part with data from semi-structured interviews, which are used to create concepts and hypothesis in order to test them in quantitative part with questionners. Research is a case study and findings and interpretations can not be generalized to whole population of young people. Data provide solid empirical conclusion and hypothesis though. My findings support idea of consuption as complex and ambivalent social phenomenon related to individualization process. Yet another social functions of consuption are revealed in thesis. Consuption as a device to define and redefine identity of individual. Normative aspect of consumption, which express itself in social groups norms. Significance of structural differences between both social context for individual's action with link to cultural and...
