An effect of receiving a subsidy from EU fonds on social enterprise sustainability - A case study

Dissertation is concerned on sustainability of social enterprise, which has started its business thanks to EU funding during the period 2007 - 2013. Social enterprises as social economy subjects make up an important part of national economy and extend possibilities to obtain financial sources for nonprofit operation. EU funding reflects the importance of social enterprises in promoting level of employment. The aim of the research is to get a complex description of surveyed case with a special emphasis on social and financial sustainability in the the situation after project's completion date. Sustainability of the social enterprise is described with help of The SEED Initiative approach. The SEED Initiative has defined success factors and key indicators of performance of social enterprise sustainability. Dissertation is conceived as a single case study.

Diplomová práce analyzuje česko-slovenské a slovensko-české vztahy od vzniku samostatné České republiky a Slovenské republiky v r. 1993 do vstupu obou republik do Evropské unie v květnu 2004. Cílem je nastínit základní tendence a vývoj ve vzájemných politických vztazích a ve vztazích národů. Práce vzájemné vztahy analyzuje na bilaterální a regionální úrovni (V4, SEI, CEFTA), nastiňuje také význam vztahů mezi ČR a SR pro stabilitu a prosperitu medzinárodního společenství.

Interkulturelles Lemen wird heutzutage von vielen Autoren in einem erweiterten Sinne verstanden, indem es über die rein erziehungswissenschaftliche Konzeption hinausgeht und auch für den Fremdsprachenunterricht von großer Bedeutung ist. In der heutigen multikulturellen Gesellschaft spielt die Aufgabe der Schule, Kinder und Jugendliche auf interkulturelle Begegnungen verschiedener Art vorzubereiten eine wichtige Rolle. Dem Fremdsprachenlemen kommt dabei eine besondere Bedeutung zu. Durch den Erwerb einer fremden Sprache und durch landeskundliches Lemen wird den Lemenden die andere Kultur nähergebracht. Interkulturelles Lemen im Fremdsprachenunterricht bietet daher eine Auseinandersetzung mit einer bestimmten Zielsprache und Zielkultur an. Im direkten oder indirekten Kontakt mit der Kultur des Zielsprachenlandes haben die Schülerinnen die Möglichkeit, nicht nur über die anderen zu lemen, sondem auch sich selbst besser zu erkennen. Bereits die Bewusstmachung der Tatsache, dass jeder Mensch durch seine eigene Kultur geprägt ist, ist ein Schritt zu einem gegenseitigen Verständnis. The Bathang Incident: The end of thraditional Kham and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty Expansion in Sichuan-Tibetan Frontier

The present paper deals with the event known as the Bathang incident, in the Sichuan- Tibetan border area in 1905, during which there was an uprising against the Chinese imperial administration, leading to the murder of Feng Quan, the Assistant High Commissioner to Tibet, and his retinue. In addition to the secondary literature, the paper utilizes mainly Chinese primary sources, along with travelogues and diaries written by Western missionaries and travellers. The initial portion of the first chapter describes the geographical characteristics of the broader area of Kham. Next follows a summary of the historical and political development of the territory, with an emphasis on the development of relations between Kham, Tibet, the Mongols and China, including the internal development and formation of its specific environment and culture. The second chapter turns to Bathang itself. The first subchapter is dedicated to the exceptional natural conditions in Bathang. The second section provides an overview of the historical development of the Bathang area and its gradual integration, first into the Mongol empire and then into the realm of the Qing dynasty. Leading of a team - modern approach

The aim of my thesis is a summary of a leading of a team problems with concentration to modern approaches esp. to teambuilding activities. The thesis is devided into five captires. The first one is dedicated to particular styles of leading of the teams, the second capture is about factors of the team dynamics, particular team roles and phases of building a team. The third capture is dedicated to the teambuilding problems. I try to explain its sense, describe its particular phases and mention examples of teambuilding activities. In the fourth capture I introduce a company which deals with teambuilding, AG Vapiti, s. r. o. its services and typical clients. A depth interview with a client of AG Vapiti, s. r. o. and comparsion with a rival company a follow. The last capture of the thesis is the research on the basis of questionary about the gain of teambuilding. At the end I summarize the knowledge I gained by composing the thesis.

POUŽITÍ METAHEURISTIK K ŘEŠENÍ DOPRAVNÍCH ÚLOH

Cílem práce je aplikace ACO optimalizačních technik na úlohu obchodního cestujícího a dopravní úlohu. V teoretické části práce je provedena literární rešerše dané problematiky. Dopravní úloha je pojednávána z různých pohledů, jednak z pohledu teorie grafů a také z pohledu teorie složitosti. Dále jsou popsány hlavní typy dopravních úloh včetně metod jejich řešení. Hlavní část práce je věnována metodám hejnové inteligence ve vztahu k dopravní úloze. Metody hejnové inteligence jsou zde zevrubně popsány včetně jejich biologického pozadí. Hlavní pozornost je věnována metodám optimalizace pomocí kolonií mravenců (ACO). Jsou uvedeny hlavní používané algoritmy ACO optimalizace, a metody jak postupovat, chceme li takový algoritmus navrhnout. Praktická část práce je věnována studiu jednoho z původních ACO algoritmů ? Ant System algoritmu.Byl studován vliv parametrů ? a ? které představují relativní význam feromonové stopy a heuristické informace (vzdálenosti). Byly zkoumány možnosti studia ACO optimalizace navržené v programu Matlab na jednoprocesorovém počítači, tyto se ukázaly jako omezené, charakter úlohy vyžaduje paralelní prostředí. Přínosem práce je zjištění, že na rozdíl od výše citované práce použitá implementace algoritmu dává dobré výsledky v širokém rozmezí parametrů ? a ?. Dále byly potvrzeny některé vlastnosti ACO optimalizace uváděné v literatuře, jako je postupné zhoršování průměrného výkonu mravenců po určité době běhu. Dalším zajímavým poznatkem bylo zjištění že zcela nepatrná změna ve způsobu generování náhodného prvku v rozhodovacím mechanismu má vliv na celkový průběh optimalizace.

Starbucks marketing strategy

This thesis focuses on the marketing strategy for Starbucks. The goal is to suggest marketing strategy improvements for Starbucks based on analyses done. The first chapter deals with marketing, the importance of marketing strategy, marketing mix put in the extended range and there are described the situation analysis and the process of market segmentation. The second chapter presents the company of Starbucks along with all analyses listed in the theoretical part. The third chapter covers the research among the customers of the brand. For the research there was used questionnaire investigation focused on the evaluation of the relationship of a typical customer to a Starbucks product and the brand.

Economic aspects of health in modern society

Předmětem zkoumání jsou specifika zdravotní péče jako ekonomické kategorie, zdraví a jeho determinanty, význam a postavení zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti, ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky tří odlišných zdravotnických systémů (Německo, Spojené státy americké, Velká Británie) a zejména vývoj a perspektivy českého zdravotnictví. Cílem práce je analyzovat ekonomické aspekty zdravotnictví v moderní společnosti v kontextu historie a současnosti zdravotnických systémů a zhodnotit relevantní implikace pro české zdravotnictví. Práce vychází z vlastností zdravotní péče jako ekonomického statku, konceptu investic do zdraví a významu zdraví pro lidský kapitál. Diskutuje rizika a příležitosti rostoucí potřeby a spotřeby zdravotní péče vyplývající z ekonomického rozvoje, stavu determinantů zdraví a změn v chování lidí, které sebou přináší rychlý vývoj současného světa. Přibližuje měnící se roli státu ve zdravotnictví a zkoumá otázky obecné dostupnosti zdravotní péče v moderní společnosti. Zabývá se vymezením vazeb ekonomických aspektů zdravotnictví ve vztahu k souvisejícím medicínským, etickým, sociálním a institucionálním aspektům, jež zpětně determinují prostředí a podmínky pro racionální rozhodování a jednání aktérů zdravotnického systému. Identifikuje a srovnává významné ekonomické a institucionální charakteristiky zdravotnických systémů v rámci zvolené typologie, včetně zhodnocení problematiky jejich konvergence. Ukazuje logiku jejich vnitřního fungování a příčiny jejich typických problémů (čekací seznamy, deficity, nerealizovaná péče). Zjištěné poznatky jsou využity v diskusi o perspektivách českého zdravotnictví a vyúsťují v analýzu možností využití ekonomických nástrojů se zaměřením na implementaci spoluúčasti pacientů a na další rozvoj pluralitního prostředí zdravotních pojišťoven (variabilní sazba zdravotního pojištění a stropy pro spoluúčast).

The level of knowledge on the issue of nutrition of students in the 2nd grade of elementary school in relation to their daily diet.

This bachelor thesis: The level of knowledge pertaining to the issue of the nutrition of second grade elementary students in relation to their everyday diet is theoretically defined in the introductory section, defining nutrition related terms. Individual chapters then go on to define the basic aspects and the relevance of good nutrition for the health of young children and young adults. Daily recommended amount, nutrition plans, alternative eating regimes and various nutritional mistakes are all discussed, particularly in the context of abnormal weight gain and other illnesses. The issue of educating young people about correct nutrition is also tackled. The practical component of the thesis describes the results of quantitative research carried out via questionnaire form. The aim of the questionnaire was to find out what relationship young children have towards their nutrition and test their knowledge on the subject. The research sample was aimed at children of 9th grade of elementary school, aged 14-16 in the Znojmo area.

Communicative Strategy of the Town Třebíč

The subject of my final thesis is to emphasize the importance of communication and the usage of communicative tools in towns (by municipal authorities). The theoretical part is focused on the principles of communication and municipal marketing in relation to the public sector. The practical part is devoted to the evaluation of communicative strategies of the town Třebíč aimed at chosen age groups. The reason why I have chosen Třebíč for this analysis of communicative activities is its wide variety of communicative tools which the local municipal authorities use. In the conclusion there are suggestions for the future usage of communicative tools by the town (Třebíč municipal authorities).
