Regeneration of panel housing estates
Lácha, Ondřej ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Jandová, Hana (referee)
The aim of the thesis is to find answers to following questions: how to quantify costs of regeneration of selected panel housing estates and how to plan the process itself. It is necessary to plan, or phase these very demanding activities because available resources are limited. We can observe a number of deficiencies in panel housing estates (for example: lack of parking space, unsatisfactory capacity in education etc.). Postponing regeneration may cause not only higher financial demands, but also social, technical, and environmental problems, and it is therefore necessary to solve these deficiencies as soon as possible. Based on a comparison with already regenerated areas and standards for technical and civic amenities, standards of housing for selected panel housing estates will be defined. It will be followed by a comparative analysis of a current state of panel housing estates with housing standards. This comparison results in a definition of requirements and quantification of costs required for regeneration of a given territory.

Racist legislation of Nazi Germany
Vernerová, Denisa ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Horák, Záboj (referee)
The thesis is divided into nine separate chapters. In the first chapter, I focused on the aftermath of the First World War. Shortly after the cessation of fighting, representatives of the powers involved met in France to establish responsibility for the outbreak of the global conflict. The Treaty of Versailles imposed high financial reparations on Germany and also stipulated a reduction of the German army and, last but not least, the removal of a part of the German territory. The second and third chapters are devoted to postwar developments in Germany. After the war, Germany became a republic, namely a democratic republic. The Weimar Republic even had one of the most democratic constitutions in Europe. From its establishment, the republic was facing hardly surmountable difficulties in the field of internal politics, economy and later finance. It is therefore no wonder that the citizens, disappointed in democracy, heeded the positively sounding mottos of the National Socialists on the eradication of unemployment and the improvement of living standards for all. I have divided the era of Hitler's Germany into three periods in terms of taking antisemitic measures for the purposes of better orientation in the text. In the first period, the Nazis focused primarily on the elimination of the Jews (with some...

European Union and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
Srnka, Vojtěch ; Dubský, Zbyněk (advisor) ; Veselý, Zdeněk (referee)
Next year will the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories celebrate the 50th Anniversary. European Union, the most significant trade partner of Israel as well as the biggest donor of Palestine, was for a long time a mere observer of a situation of deepening of the occupation and postponing of its end because of building of Israeli settlements on the one side and of gradual division of Palestinian territories between radical Hamas and Fatah. Just in the autumn of 2015 the European Union decided to take a restrictive step towards Israel by setting clear rules of labelling of Israeli goods produced in those Israeli settlements. However, a harsh response has come both from the Israeli government and from some of EU member states. Therefore this work focuses on evaluation of the legitimacy of this move and on trying to assess the reason of its partial failure.

Approach of entrepreneurs to delegate responsibilities as the necessary condition of the firms' growth
Říhová, Monika ; Lukeš, Martin (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
The master thesis deals with delegating of the work in small, rapidly growing companies. The main objective is to determine what approaches entrepreneurs apply to delegate in the growth phase of the company. The theoretical part describes the relevant theoretical concepts such as business growth, human resources in the company, analysis of entrepreneurs' work time and the work delegating. There are presented results of foreign research in this thesis that serves as the basis for my own investigation. In the methodical part the methods used and the research process are being specified together with the criteria for selecting the sample of respondents and subsequent data analysis procedure. The empirical part examines a sample of 12 entrepreneurs and presents the results of the investigation. The opinions of 97 subordinates of individual entrepreneurs are also included. Results of the research lead to the conclusion that entrepreneurs often do not use the potential of described managerial techniques, even if it would lead to the benefit of further development of the company.

Global Economic Outlook - March 2017
Česká národní banka
The March issue of Global Economic Outlook presents the regular monthly overview of recent and expected developments in selected territories, focusing on key economic variables: inflation, GDP growth, leading indicators, interest rates, exchange rates and commodity prices. In this issue, we then focus analytically on the monetary and fiscal policy response space in OECD countries. The article shows that nominal interest rates are still expected to be very low over the medium term. This is inconsistent with the process of closing output gaps and attaining inflation rates close to 2%, making a return to conventional interest - rate policy more difficult. Our article also notes that the return to positive real interest rates will be complicated by the overleveraging of many OECD countries, as a visible rise in interest rates could increase the risk of insolvency of several euro area countries and trigger the feared domino effect.
