Kreisslová, Sandra ; Pargač, Jan (advisor) ; Nosková, Jana (referee) ; Šatava, Leoš (referee)
The aim of the dissertation is to find answers to questions that are connected to the problems of the construction of ethnic/national identity and related identification signs. This discourse creation of collective identity is analyzed on the basis of biographic texts of the citizens of the Czech Republic who identify with Germans, and remained, after the forced extradition of the German-speaking population, for various reasons in the country of their origin. The research project is, from the territorial point of view, situated in the border region of Chomutov which has been for centuries formed mainly by the German population. Using the biographic method there has been recorded, in the course of the terrain investigation itself, a total of 50 biographic narratives of the representatives of three successive generations of this community. By means of analysis and interpretation of the content of these biographic materials there are primarily captured the collectively shared pictures of the past and important identification attributes by which protagonists of the oldest generation of this community form their ethnic/national identity. In this way it is clarified how the narrators themselves re-construct and re-interpret their subjectively experienced "we", at the same time defining themselves against...

Theatre Aspects of the Gregorian Chant
Sedláčková, Anna ; Bažil, Martin (advisor) ; Christov, Petr (referee)
Western plainchant does constitutive part of the medieval perfomances of the Easter liturgical ceremonies (liturgical plays). Its musical component noticably takes part on the scenic setting. It is the research and work with the manuscripts originated from St. George?s convent on the Prague castle (12. ? 14. century), that allow us to display this conclusive argument. The engagement of the plainchant as the performative element happens particularly in the musical interpretation of the text. It reflects the system of constructive cogitation with the abilities to select, to make a choice of the melodic part in order to shape the liturgic units in the service of the perfomance.

Educational multimedia technologies and their use in the educational process in secondary police schools
Zlámal, Jiří
Modern teaching in terms of creative work based on information used in mutual interaction between teachers and students requires intensive searching, finding and introducing rational forms, methods and didactic procedures and their implementation at schools. The process also requires creating adequate pedagogical environment. Andragogy and lifelong learning are priorities not only of the state education policy but also in training police officers and civilian employees within the Ministry of Interior. The high level of output experience and creation of the attitudes of the trainees are the backbone of the upcoming reform of the education program of the professional training of the police novices focused on professional and competent service. Learning for life, declared in materials of international institutions to be the essentials of the 21st century information society, brought into practice by means of behavioural, cognitive and, above all, constructive concept of training and education requires intensive work aimed at changing the existing paradigms of instructive execution of formal and informal education in accordance with Comenius' idea that " pupils should enjoy learning, being encouraged by their parents, school and the method." Gajda, J. ; Vavro, M. ; Vavro, Leona
The paper briefly reviews one of the proposed methods of probabilistic reliability assessment of anchoring reinforcement, usable in mine excavations and underground workings. Application of this concept – software „Kotvení“ was especially developed for this purpose using DDFPM (Direct Determined Fully Probabilistic Method).

Fyzikální modelování srdečně cévní soustavy na ÚT AVČR
Pražák, Josef
The physical modeling remains an important tool for theoretical and practical studies of CVS. Nowadays, the most important applications of physical modeling of CVS are the testing and developing of artificial substitutions of CVS elements and the application of it as a counterpart for mathematical models. On the IT, the physical modeling of the CVS flow phenomena is developed since the last century (more then six years) in the Laboratory of biomechanics. In its contemporary state, the IT physical model of CVS represents a universal system (construction kit) suitable for a large class of applications.

Early mediaeval stronghold of Libice nad Cidlinou and its hinterland
Mařík, Jan ; Sláma, Jiří (advisor) ; Macháček, Jiří (referee) ; Moždzioch, Slawomir (referee)
Early medieval strongholds (fortified centres) were dominating elements in early medieval society. They usually served as multi-functional centres of political power, administration, trade, cult, military organization, etc. There were many people residing in such strongholds who did not take part on agricultural production, for example the ducal family, soldiers, and craftsmen. Strongholds played an important role in the process of the formation of early medieval Czech state in the 9th and the 10th century. The early medieval centre is assumed to have been a great consumer of food (non-productive elites), human labour (construction of fortification), raw materials (wood, iron ore), etc. The needs of early medieval strongholds are usually characterised as "very large", but always without any proper context of comparison. It is impossible to understand the economy of a centre without a knowledge of its needs and capacity of its hinterland. The centre and its hinterland is one indivisible system, which has to be balanced.

Syntactic specifics in the work by Ignát Herrmann
Plášilová, Monika ; Janovec, Ladislav (advisor) ; Holanová, Radka (referee)
This present thesis is stydying the syntactic specifics in the work by Ignát Herrmann. Major part of the literary work by this author pictures the life of "small" people of Pragues suburb at the end of the 19th century with their simple nature and daily routines and it all with the intention to assume and amuse readers. Although the texts are written and therefore well prepared, Herrmann tries to evoke an exactly reverse feeling in large extent and uses such language constructions which are typical for unprepared, spontaneous and familiar communication. In context of that the texts are rich of direct speech with all the characteristics peculiar to them. There were two main groups created on grounds of the fundamental Czech syntactic grammar for the description of the syntactic specifics in Herrmann's texts. One of them contains modifications of the basic sentence formula (ellipsis, parenthesis, aposiopesis etc.) and the second grammatical constructions with features of appossition relationship (rectification, enumeration and summary etc.). In the analysis reported here it was shown that at the syntax level there are Herrmann's pieces based on two basic principles which are in contrary to each other. On the one hand the texts are highly reduced but on the other side they are apparently enriched. The...
