Effect of two active recovery methods on repeated bouts of finger flexor isometric performance
Psohlavec, Lukáš ; Baláš, Jiří (advisor) ; Malý, Tomáš (referee)
Title: Effect of two active recovery methods on repeated bout of finger flexors isometric performance. Goals: Compare two methods of active recovery - global and local, during repeated isometric performance and learn the difference between active and passive recovery. Method: Ten recreational athletes in average age 30,4 ± 5,9 years performed in a random cross-over desing 3 sessions with 3 repeated isometric intermittent contraction. The effect of active global recovery, active local recovery and passive recovery between repetions was monitored. Results: More effective type of recovery was active recovery. There was no difference between both active recovery methods. Performed decrease in active global recovery was activleast effective method of recovery was passive recovery. Decrease in the time in active global recovery was 21,7s (29,77%) and in active local recovery 20,8s (30,1%). The least effective was passive recovery. There was decrease 24,6s (35,34%). Key words: recovery, active recovery, local recovery, finger flexors, interrmitent, isometric contraction.

Konopásková, Zuzana ; Hráský, Pavel (advisor) ; Vorálek, Rostislav (referee)
Title: Influencing the negative effects of sports load in volleyball Student: Zuzana Konopásková Supervisor: PhDr. Pavel Hráský, Ph.D. Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is on the basis of information obtained during the formation of work to choose the best method to create an outline of appropriate compensation exercises for volleyball players. Methodology: Studying literature and other resources related to the chosen topic. Based on this analysis and comparison of data collected from various sources such as books, journals, lectures and websites, select the most appropriate regenerative and compensatory mechanisms for volleyball players. Key words: Stress in sports, recovery, regeneration, compensatory exercise
Using the Yo-Yo test in football in the category U 12
Janoušek, Adam ; Frýbort, Pavel (advisor) ; Kokštejn, Jakub (referee)
Title: Using the Yo-Yo test in football in the category U 12 Objectives: Aim of this work is to compare the results of my research with other research, which also used the same type of yo - yo test at ages younger pupils. Methods: Group monitored the players consists of 26 probands in category U 12 who play in the elite team of high level. Players warm up before the test completed. Then it passed to the actual testing, which consisted of 2 x 20 meter runs and was interspersed with short recovery breaks until the player was able to meet the test requirements. For each player after removal from the test are enrolled elapsed distance. Results: The average elapsed distance from my research is 305.23 meters, while the Japanese footballers result is 286.2 meters. From the results it is obvious that the players of the research group achieved better results than the players playing the Japanese league, and despite the fact that they have a lower average age. Key words: football, yo - yo test, recovery, performance, level.
The Developmental Typology of the Fastest Growing Portion of the Metropolitan USA in the Decade from 2000 to 2010
Kohl, Ondřej ; Jeleček, Leoš (advisor) ; Ouředníček, Martin (referee)
This text was written as a diploma thesis of master's degree study course "Regional and political geography." It focuses on the development between the last two censuses, of the fastest growing metropolitan areas in the United States. The economic crisis of the late 2000s has been a major turning point of the decade. The goal of the research was to create a developmental typology of the fastest growing metros. The text analyzes "classifiers" data in order to decide what developmental types have been among the metros. A major factor contributing to high population gains in the fastest growing metros was the migration induced by the housing bubble.
The effect of active recovery and hydroterapy on the subsequent short-term and medium-term muscular performance
Strejcová, Barbora ; Süss, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee) ; Pyšný, Ladislav (referee)
Title: The effect of active recovery and hydroterapy on the subsequent short-term and medium-term muscular performance Objective: The aim of the study was to compare the effect of two recoveries (ice pack, passive recovery) on the subsequent short-term and three recoveries (active recovery, cold water immersion, passive recovery) on the medium-term knee strength in the extension and flexion. Methods: Fourteen athletes in an average age of 26,6±4,4 years performed, in a random cross-over design, 2 sessions with 5 repeated short-term isokinetic tests and 3 sessions with 3 repeated medium-term isokinetic tests. The effect of ice packs and passive rest and the effect of active recovery, passive rest and cold water immersion were assessed by the 5x2 (time x recovery) and 3x3 (time x recovery) repeated-measure ANOVA, respectively. Results: The ice packs did not have any effect on peak torque, total work and average power during short-term performances. The average heart rate was significantly lower during measurements with the ice packs than during the passive recovery (125±15 vs. 135±20 tepů. min-1 ). We stated significantly lower changes in knee extension for the peak torque after the active recovery (↑ 0,9 N.m) than after the cold water immersion (↓ 14,6 N.m) or the passive recovery (↓ 13,9 N.m). This thesis deals with crisis management. The theoretical part deals with the definition of basic concepts from several authors. The custom thesis analyzes the effectiveness of the deployment of the Army in the region. I used the measurement methods of historical comparisons or desired state by the CPM (Critical path method) in a particular situation. After the analysis follows the recommendations on how to get more efficient deployment of armed forces for unexpected events and to accelerate the return to economic stability.
