Digitální restaurace nástěnných maleb
Blažek, Jan ; Pelikán, Josef (referee) ; Zitová, Barbara (advisor)
In this thesis we present the application of digital image processing algorithms for the process of fresco restoration such as image registration, image fusion, and image segmentation. We have worked with images of various modalities (visual and ultraviolet spectra) and at different times. Moreover, during the image analysis we also have taken the local chemical analysis into account. The robustness of proposed algorithms is required to be high with respect to the bad state of the fresco. The achieved results provide a better insight into the evolution of the fresco aging to the art conservators and show the way how a proper conservation method can be chosen. All developed methods are illustrated by generated output images.

Ancient Constellations as a cultural Phaenomenon
Juřina, Petr ; Bouzek, Jan (advisor) ; Charvát, Petr (referee) ; Dufková, Marie (referee)
The firm connection of the heavenly constellations with characters and passages from Greek mythology is earned above all Aratus of Soloi, a Hellenistic poet from the time of Ptolemy II. His didactic poem Phainomena ("Phenomena in the sky") reached such popularity in its time that it lived to be translated into Latin several times and its contents became a firm part of the heritage of European civilization. The beginnings of the entire system of dividing the heavens into 48 parts, go back to a much older period. Astronomy has reliably brought forth evidence that the root of these heavenly "parcels" has its origins in the Near East 7.000-6.000 years ago. These conclusions of exact sciences also help confirm indications seen in the last while in various social-scientific disciplines. We find reflections of this ancient tradition in cosmological-astronomical (astrological) aspects of ancient cultures, or in paleoastronomical constructions of many archaeologically found features of prehistoric Europe.

Brandýs nad Labem-Vrábí (central Bohemia), a late Hallstatt - early La Tene settlement
Mikešová, Veronika ; Dreslerová, Dagmar (referee) ; Bláhová, Zuzana (advisor)
My bachelor work is concerned with the archeological finds processing from Late Hallstatt to Early La Tne age. The finds have been discovered during rescue archeological research in poly- cultural residential area in Vrábí- Brandýs nad Labem. The aim of my work is to make systematical and synoptic processing of archeological materials, subsequently explicate the finds and place the residential area in the context of time and place. The emphasis is placed to utilize the findigs with maximum efficiency and to make it possible to compare archeological data from other localities.

Time lag in simultaneous interpretation from English into Czech and its dependence on text type
Podhajská, Květa ; Rejšková, Jana (advisor) ; Čeňková, Ivana (referee)
The aim of this M.A. thesis was to prove the correlation between text type and time lag in simultaneous interpretation. Two text types were examined: a prepared speech read out by the speaker, and a spontaneous speech, not prepared in written form beforehand. The thesis is based on an experiment examining variations in time lag in simultaneous interpreting from English into Czech. Twelve students and recent graduates of interpreting at the Institute of Translation Studies, Faculty of Philosophy and Arts, Charles University in Prague, took part in the experiment. The interpreters' outputs were recorded on audiocassettes, then burned on CDs and processed with the help of specialized computer software (Cool Edit). The results were then evaluated, summed up in charts, analyzed, processed graphically, commented on and computed statistically. The results presented in the empirical part of the thesis were then tested against a hypothesis assuming a shorter time lag in interpreting the prepared read text. This hypothesis was confirmed. The results gained in the experiment showed there is a correlation between text type and time lag in simultaneous interpretation, with a statistically significant difference in time lag between the two types of speech. It was also confirmed that time lag is influenced not only by...

Ideal and real teacher of special subject from the perspective of pupils of secondary schools and students of university, evolution of preferences
Bednářová, Markéta ; Koťa, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Pelikán, Jiří (referee)
The present research work Ideal and real teacher of special subject from the perspective of pupils of secondary schools and students of university focuses on finding the opinion of pupils of secondary nursing schools and students of higher nursing schools and universities on teachers of nursing. The main objective was to deterrnine how the pupils and students represent the ideal teacher, whether the ideas pursued by different groups and how pupils and students evaluate their current teachers in the context created by the ideal model. The theoretical part of the work summanzes conclusions from thematically similar studies. The key concepts which relate to the subject of the study, such as the teacher, the role ofthe teacher, desirable qualities ofthe teacher, the teacher oftechnical subjects, the teacher of nursing, a professional preparation of the teacher, the pupil, the student, are summarized and synoptically explained on the basis of a qualitative analysis of data from the literature. The empirical part of the work describes the applied quantitative research carried on by the indirect inquiry method with 805 respondents - pupils of secondary and students of and higher nursing schools and universities specialised on nursing. The respondents were chosen from fourteen schools, seven towns of a different...

Viscoelastic properties of microcrystalline cellulose of Avicel PH 200
Skálová, Marie ; Řehula, Milan (advisor) ; Špaček, Vladimír (referee)
In this dissertation the viscoelasticity of the most common excipient microcrystaline celulose was valuated and viscoelasticite parametres were compared to three substances. Viscoelasticity was valuated by two methods..The first method is Creep test. In this analyze the compression force is constant and hold for 180s. During this time height of the tablet was lowered. The diffrences of tablet height was noted and used for calculation in Crčel test. Parameters of elasticity got by this method are FCT1,FCT2 and parameters of plasticity are PCT1,FP. When the parameters of elasticity increase the elasticity decrease. When the parameter FP increases the plasticity increases too. The higher the value of PCT1 is the lower is the plasticity. Stress relaxation is the second method. In this analyze hight of tablet is constant and decline compression force is recorded. In this analyze we noted the decline for 180 sec. In this way we get parameters of elasticity ESR1, ESR2, ESR3 and parameters of plasticity PSR1, PSR2, PSR3. The plasticity increases when parameter P increases. Comparing three substances the elasticity increases in-line Emcompress, Avicel, Flowlac and the elasticity decreases in-line Emcompress, Avicel, Flowlac.

Financial analysis of Spanish companies
Exlerová, Lenka ; Marek, Petr (advisor) ; Dufková, Eva (referee)
This thesis focuses on the financial analysis of selected industrial sectors in the Spanish economy. For the purposes of analysis the following indicators are used: return on assets, return on equity, inventory turnover, receivables and payables turnover ratios and trade gap derived from them. Then indicators of current ratio, acid test ratio, cash ratio and working capital are analyzed. Finally the thesis includes indicators of creditor's risk, interest coverage and total cost and expenses per revenues. A further part of the thesis is dedicated to the peculiarities of the Spanish economy and the studies of changes in the unemployment rate and gross domestic product. A significant part is devoted to particular sectors of economy. Spanish exports and imports are presented by means of the balance of payments. After interpretation of all calculated indicators the following conclusion has expressed: the best performing sectors are the manufacture of coke, refined petroleum products and nuclear fuel followed by sector of construction. On the other hand traditional Spanish fishing, fish farming and related service activities were found to be the worst performing sectors.
