Evaluation of the stability of osteosynthesis of mandibular ramus sagittal split osteotomy
Nieblerová, Jiřina ; Mazánek, Jiří (advisor) ; Dostálová, Taťjána (referee) ; Bulík, Oliver (referee)
Orthognatic surgery deals with congenital and acquired dentoalveolar or skeletal deformities of the face. An unfavourable downward rotation of a mandible and posterior vertical maxillary excess cause an anterior open bite, which is characterized by excessive anterior facial height in the lower third, a gap between the incisors in maximal occlusion and a large mandibular angle. Osteotomy (mainly Le Fort I osteotomy or bilateral sagittal split osteotomy of the mandibular ramus - BSSO), ostectomy or distraction osteogenesis are performed to correct the orthognatic deformities. Osteosynthetic materials based on titanium or bioresorbable materials are used in the form of miniplates with monocortical screws, or bicortical screws are utilized to fix the bony fragments. Stability of the new jaws position is the main criterion for success. Relapse causes a loss of occlusion and consequently functional and aesthetic disorders. Relapse consists of skeletal and dental factors. Skeletal relapse is usually divided into early and long-term relapse. BSSO with counter-clockwise (CCW) rotation of the occlusal plane alone was traditionally considered to be the least stable treatment method. Some authors suggest the use of two miniplates on each side of the osteotomy, but we have not found scientific proof of the...

Stability or change?
Hřebíčková, Martina
In this review study three different views concerning the development of personality across the life course are discussed. 1) Contextual approach leads to the conclusion that an analysis of behavior in context may be the best way to understand personality development. 2) Arguments that personality becomes stable in adulthood and that individual differences in personality traits are fixed by age 30 are presented. 3) As well arguments for change and continuity in personality development are mentioned. Personality traits do not become fixed at certain age in adulthood and retain the possibility of change even into old age.

Economic Behavior of Non-financial Enterprises in the Ownership of the Government.
URBANOVÁ, Radka
This diploma thesis was composed as a part of the resolution of the student team research project GAJU 029/2011/S of the Grant Agency of the University of Southern Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice. The main goal of this thesis is an evaluation of the economic behavior of non-financial enterprises in the ownership of the government (NPVV) in the selected sector of the national economy. The theoretical part is dealing with a short description of these enterprises and with issues with their efficiency. This was analysed in separate studies. The practical part deals with a development of the individual types of the profitability (type of an income of the production) in the context of the national economy and industry type if the of selected national accounts during the 1999 - 2010 period. The conclusions of the individual chapters are interconnected at the end of this thesis. The method is to compare the conclusions from the industry subsectors with the conclusions from the national economy subsector. The conclusions are compared with the NPVV informations extracted from the related studies. The non-financial enterprises subsector indicator results are also evaluated in this thesis. The analysed branch was the ground and pipeline transportation branch due to substantial share of the public non-financial enterprises NPV (13.3 %) and the national private non-financial enterprises NPS (3.74 %) production in 2010 (these were the main subsectors of the researched non-financial enterprises). The production and the income have been approsimately developed at the same average as in the sector and the national economy also. Their output is comparable due to that. The comparation of the profitability by using the gross added value shows us that the NPV have better results. However the position of NPV and NPS switches and the differences become deepen when we use the net added value and other sources of income. There is even a regular negative profitability if we use the net disposable income of the NPV. There is an issue with the salary of the employees mainly in the NPV according to the research. But it is interesting that issues related to the financial crisis are not affecting the NPV as fast as the NPS. The NPS is affected by the problems almost immediately, however the NPV are affected with a delay and with a less intensity. The essential recommendation is to introduce a control of any commercial enterprises with any state partnership through the Highest inspecting office.

Contagion Risk in the Czech Financial System: A Network Analysis and Simulation Approach
Hausenblas, Václav ; Kubicová, Ivana ; Lešanovská, Jitka
This paper examines the potential for contagion within the Czech banking system via the channel of interbank exposures of domestic banks enriched by a liquidity channel and an asset price channel over the period March 2007 to June 2012. A computational model is used to assess the resilience of the Czech banking system to interbank contagion, taking into account the size and structure of interbank exposures as well as balance sheet and regulatory characteristics of individual banks in the network. The simulation results suggest that the potential for contagion due to credit losses on interbank exposures was rather limited. Even after the introduction of a liquidity condition into the simulations, the average contagion was below 3.8% of the remaining banking sector assets, with the exception of the period from December 2007 to September 2008. Activation of the asset price channel further increases the losses due to interbank contagion, showing that liquidity of government bonds would be essential for the stability of Czech banks in stress situations. Finally, the simulation results for both idiosyncratic and multiple bank failure shocks suggest that the potential for contagion in the Czech banking system has decreased since the onset of the global financial crisis.

Overtaking model on a circular road
Krejčiřík, Radek ; Kofroň, Josef (referee) ; Janovský, Vladimír (advisor)
In this work we consider an extended follow-the-leader traffic model which was presented in [9]. The Model simulates movements of N identical cars on a circular road. There are two new aspects in this model included: velocity of each car depends on a variable reaction time and on an aggressiveness of the driver as well. Aggressiveness has a stabilizing effect on the traffic flow and variable reaction time changes the periodic dynamics in the model, but there are still some un-physical solutions. The benefit of this work is in an application of an overtaking-algorithm to the extended model. We also show an equivalent formulation of the problem as a system of ordinary differential equations with a discontinuous right-hand side. We show an existence of periodic solutions with overtaking.

Security Policy of the EU towards the Maghreb: Promoting Democracy or Stability?
Holík, Jiří ; Karásek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Střítecký, Vít (referee)
This graduate thesis analyses the EU security policy towards the Maghreb between 2005 and 2010. It does so in order to ascertain to what extent the level of practical policy corresponds with the level of declarations. Also, by using the promotion of democratic governance in the Maghreb countries under the ENP as s case study, the thesis means to challenge the proposition that European Union can be described as a 'Normative Power'. First chapter briefly presents the concept of 'Normative Power Europe'. Following section looks at the European Security Strategy and localizes the primary position of the goal of democracy promotion in the document. Third part gives an overview of the European policy towards the Mediterranean under which EU relations with the Maghreb have been framed. Most attention is paid to the European Neighbourhood Policy. Next chapter examines the level of practical EU policy. It consists of three separate case studies of European policy towards Tunisia, Morocco and Libya between 2005 and 2010. The fifth and final part qualitatively analyses the way four factors (trade, energy, migration and terrorism) contributed to the structuring of relations of Tunisia, Morocco and Libya with Spain, France and Italy. The thesis arrives at the conclusion that while at the declaratory level the EU strives...

The selected issues of adoption
Reisingerová, Michaela ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
Adoption sets up a legal kinship and imitates biological relations. That is why adoption holds a unique position in law. I chose this topic because of its particularity and importance of adoption. Due to the current recodification the adoption has undergone great changes which brought new issues that scientific work is trying to solve. As the title indicates, my diploma thesis deals with two particular problems of adoption. The text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is rather short and serves as an introduction to the adoption theme. It briefly describes the purpose of adoption, its effects, classification and legislation. It is a base for the following chapters. The first issue is the current legislation of adoption conditions. After more than sixty years of adoption evolution as a substitute child care form, the legislation and legal theory developed and stabilized. The chapter deals with all conditions and classifies them. The new Civil Codex 89/2012 Statute Book of the Czech Republic accepts most of the statutes and developes them so the adoption keeps its importance. As the second issue I chose the adoption of adult. The chapter talks about roots of adoption in Roman law, its evolution on our territory and causes that led to its current prohibition. Large part of the chapter...

Utility verification of single cells of territorial systems of ecological stability in Sokolov basin area and sequence on surrounding countryside
MORÁVKOVÁ, Veronika
Countryside is a dynamic system which has been constantly developing. A man may be a factor which speeds up, slows down or completely stops the development. Spoil bank in Podkrušnohoří is an illustration of the violation, where a shut-down of countryside development due to logging operations happened. The goal of every activity, which negatively modifies countryside, should be sequent reparation. In case of Podkrušnohoří spoil bank such a recultivation should be proposed and countryside items, which would increase ecological countryside stability and would help to awaken the countryside into its historical form, should be found.

Impact of Securitization on House Price Dynamics in Spain
Hejlová, Hana ; Hlaváček, Michal (advisor) ; Buzková, Petra (referee)
The rigorous thesis tries to explain different nature of the dynamics during the upward and downward part of the last house price cycle in Spain, characterized by important rigidities. Covered bonds are introduced as an instrument which may accelerate a house price boom, while it may also serve as a source of cor- rection to overvalued house prices in downturn. In a serious economic stress, lack of investment opportunities motivates investors to buy the covered bonds due to the strong guarantees provided, which may in turn help to revitalize the credit and housing markets. To address such regime shift, house price dynam- ics is modelled within a framework of mutually related house price, credit and business cycles using smooth transition vector autoregressive model. Linear behaviour of such system is rejected, indicating the need to model house prices in a nonlinear framework. Also, importance of modelling house prices in the context of credit and business cycles is confirmed. Possible causality from is- suance of covered bonds to house price dynamics was identified in this nonlinear structure. Finally, potential threat to financial stability resulting from rising asset encumbrance both in the upward and downward part of the house price cycle was identified, stressing the need to model impact of the...

Market risk management and its implementation in industrial company
Klimša, Petr ; Paholok, Igor (advisor)
In my paper, I focuse on management of market risks, especially financial risks with great accent on monetary risk. In first part of my paper I devote to market risk management in a theoretical way. There is also description of internal and external management of exchange exposition. In the second part I concentrate on praktical implementation of risk management in the company Biocel Paskov a.s. Due to the fact that the company is strongly export oriented, monetary risk management is the key issue of financial stability and competitiveness.
