Approach of entrepreneurs to delegate responsibilities as the necessary condition of the firms' growth
Říhová, Monika ; Lukeš, Martin (advisor) ; Procházka, David Anthony (referee)
The master thesis deals with delegating of the work in small, rapidly growing companies. The main objective is to determine what approaches entrepreneurs apply to delegate in the growth phase of the company. The theoretical part describes the relevant theoretical concepts such as business growth, human resources in the company, analysis of entrepreneurs' work time and the work delegating. There are presented results of foreign research in this thesis that serves as the basis for my own investigation. In the methodical part the methods used and the research process are being specified together with the criteria for selecting the sample of respondents and subsequent data analysis procedure. The empirical part examines a sample of 12 entrepreneurs and presents the results of the investigation. The opinions of 97 subordinates of individual entrepreneurs are also included. Results of the research lead to the conclusion that entrepreneurs often do not use the potential of described managerial techniques, even if it would lead to the benefit of further development of the company.

The theory of optimal currency areas: regional aspects
Ubry, Michael ; Šíma, Ondřej (advisor) ; Pour, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with the theory of optimal currency areas which was used to analyse regions in Czech Republic. This analysis is based on three criteria: mobility of production factors, economic openness and diversification of production. The main goal of this thesis was to find out whether there are regions of the Czech Republic which are prepared for monetary integration concerning the acceptance of the euro and whether they can create an optimal currency area with other regions. Results of analysis show that Czech Republic is not an optimal currency area. However, it is still beneficial to have one single currency in this territory because of the lower transaction costs and sovereignty of a country. Assuming only economic and theoretical view, existence of regional currencies would bring more costs than benefits for certain regions. Results of thesis also indicate that not every single region will be an appropriate candidate for joining Eurozone.

Lynch syndrome - etiology, diagnostics and therapy
MARŠÍKOVÁ, Dominika
Lynch syndrome (hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer, HNPCC) is an inherited disease with an autosomal dominant pattern of inheritance with high penetrance leading to an early development of colorectal cancer, endometrial cancer and other malignancies. This disease is caused by germline mutations of genes MLH1, MSH2, PMS2, MSH6, MLH3 and TGFBR2. Diagnosis of this disease includes Amsterdam Criteria and genetic testing. Therapy takes place by surgical, chemoprevention and chemical medication. The incidence of Lynch syndrome is relatively high: 1:2000 up to 1:660.

Jak čelit nejistotě při rozhodování o odstranění fosforu ve vodohospodářství
Brabec, Jan ; Vojáček, Ondřej (advisor) ; Zajíček, Miroslav (referee)
Implementation of EU Water Framework Directive has led to an increased demand for cost-benefit analysis in water management. The directive introduces a good status, which is required on all water bodies by 2027. Excessive phosphorus inflows are one of the main reasons for not meeting the criteria in the Czech Republic. If achieving of the good status is not cost-proportionate, exemption can be applied. Many different methodologies were created across different states, including Czech official methodology by Slavíková et al. (2015). However, this methodology does not deal with uncertainty of measures effectiveness. This thesis describes how to implement the uncertainty into calculations using Bayesian networks. A case study of Stanovice water reservoir demonstrates the approach practically. Results of the Bayesian network show, that selected measures with available data eliminate desired amount of phosphorus in 70% of all cases. This reduction is most likely sufficient, because it holds for the upper estimate of required abatement (60 to 200 kg). Based on comparison of benefits and costs, it seems net benefits are generated by implementing suggested measures. Therefore, policy recommendation is to implement the selected measures.

Odometer module for mobile robot
Davídek, Daniel ; Burian, František (referee) ; Jílek, Tomáš (advisor)
The main objective of this work was the development and realization of odometric module for mobile robot envMap. The module processes signals from the incremental encoder and then calculates the position and direction of the robot together with the probability of its occurrence. The calculated data with a time stamp obtained from the GPS, are then sent to the above-system via the serial interface. For the realization the development board STM32F407G was chosen. f this board can be configured to function as an encoder input. This minimizes the possibility of encoder data loss when external interrupts are handled. The STM32F4 will not be any pull-back in the later development as there are plenty of peripherals on STM32F4. They were designed with two printed circuit boards: the reduction for the GPS module and shield-board for STM32F4. The equations for calculating odometric information and the probability of occurrence are included in this work. To calculate the movement of the robot, the equation considering only the movement on the plane surface is chosen. Later in this thesis there is also description of the source code for the STM32 and its functionality. In the results there is a complete connecting diagram along with the description of the utility program ODOMAT and communication messages. Finally, measurements correcting systematic error in parameters of the robot are described and there is the final odometry measurements compared with GPS localization as ground truth.

Sampling procedures for inspection by attributes
Bartušek, Petr ; Fusek, Michal (referee) ; Michálek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with a description of sampling procedures for inspection by attributes. In the thesis there are described three discrete probability distributions – hypergeometric distribution, binomial distribution and Poisson distribution, including the convergence of their probability mass functions and cumulative distribution functions. The main aim of the thesis is a determination of a sampling plan for sampling procedures for inspection by attributes. The thesis is supplemented with three created programs, which are programmed in software Matlab.

The Imaging in Cases of Obesity and the Metabolic Syndrome
DUŠKOVÁ, Radka
This thesis deals with imaging in cases of obesity and the metabolic syndrome. It mainly focuses on the diagnostic imaging using imaging modalities, such as skiagraphy, skiascopy, ultrasonography, computer telegraphy and magnetic resonance. The objective of this thesis was to determine the characteristic and specific qualities of various diagnostic procedures of a radiological assistant when imaging patients suffering from obesity and the metabolic syndrome, especially when a contrast medium is used during the treatment, and then to compare the diagnostic possibilities of imaging when different imaging modalities are used. The theoretical part describes obesity and the metabolic syndrome, with the special focus being done on their possible extent and resulting complications. Theimaging modalities do not image obesity and the metabolic syndrome as such, but deal with the diagnostics and the treatment of various illnesses caused by metabolic dysfunctions. The issue of diagnostic imaging is complicated by the differences in methods caused by the use or non-use of ionizing radiation. The increased risk of complications during the treatment of patients suffering from obesity and the metabolic syndrome can be caused by the use of a contrast medium, which is mostly used in diagnostic imaging and it is also sometimes used in therapeutic imaging, such the invasive treatment of the cardiovascular system. For this reason, this issue has also been dealt with in this thesis. The practical part contains an evaluation and a comparison of 100 questionnaires that have been filled in by randomly selected patients of the Radiological Department. The questionnaires were anonymous and those questions were created so as to determine the prevalence of obesity in the investigated sample, which would then provide information about the possible complications that can occur during an examination which have been caused by obesity and the metabolic syndrome. After completion of the questionnaire by these patients, I also participated in their examination and verified my presupposed hypothesis in practice. The results of the questionnaire research and the participation in the examination of respondents confirmed my hypothesis that imaging in obesity and the metabolic syndrome requires a special approach, especially when contrast mediums are used during the treatment. Attention has to be paid not only to the technical modifications of procedures in individual imaging modalities, but also to the specifications connected with organ polymorbidity and the related complicating pathological conditions. Since the prevalence of obesity and the metabolic syndrome is increasing, it is very probable that we will meet patients suffering from this type of illness increasingly more often at the Radiological Department. This is another reason why the specificities of imaging patients suffering from these illnesses should be gradually implemented into regular radiological imaging procedures.
